Naruto: The Burning Spiral

Kazuki walked up to Yuki and asked, "Yuki, what are you doing here?"

Yuki smiled and said, "I came to ask if you want to train with us. Ryuma is already waiting at the training ground."

Kazuki said, "I'll come, but let me eat something first. How about you come inside?"

Yuki nodded and followed him in.

The apartment was very small, so there wasn't any other place to sit. Yuki sat down on the bed. Kazuki felt a little embarrassed and thought, 'I really need to buy a new house.'

Yuki looked at him and asked, "So, how was your spar with Itachi?"

Kazuki said, "I won."

Yuki smiled and said, "I knew you would win."

Kazuki replied, "Well, he let his guard down."

Yuki shook her head and said, "That doesn't matter in a battle. The same thing happened in your match during the chunin exams. In the end, only victory matters, that's a ninja's way."

Kazuki then started cooking and made some hamburgers for both of them. It was a completely new dish for Yuki.

She took a bite and her eyes widened in surprise. She said, "This is really good! I didn't know your cooking was this good, Kazuki."

Kazuki hesitantly replied, "I learned it from a book."

After enjoying their meal, they both left the apartment and headed for the training ground.

Kazuki made a shadow clone before leaving so it could practise fuinjutsu while he's gone.

While they were walking, Yuki asked him, "What are you going to do after we become chunin and our team disbands?"

Kazuki thought a little and said, "I haven't decided yet, but I will probably train and go on some missions. What about you?"

Yuki replied, "I'll train in my clan's secret techniques to become even stronger."

They soon reached the training ground and saw Ryuma there, who was swinging his sword around.

Ryuma stopped and asked Kazuki, "Did you win?"

Kazuki smirked and replied, "Did you doubt me?"

Ryuma said, "I don't know, Itachi is very strong. But judging by your attitude, I think you won."

The three of them sparred for a while. After that, Kazuki went a little away from them and thought about what Itachi had said.

'I need to compress more chakra into it, huh?' Kazuki thought. 'Like I do in the Rasengan? Probably not, both are different concepts. Let's try the smaller slash first.'

Kazuki activated his Sharingan. He activated his chakra flow and performed a small fire slash at the trees in front of him. The slash cut through four trees before disappearing.

'So basically, I have to apply more chakra without increasing its size,' he thought.

Kazuki held his sword with both of his hands and used one more slash toward the trees. This time, the slash cut through six trees before disappearing, but the slash was also larger than before.

Kazuki sighed and said, "Easier said than done."

He then began practicing.

For the next six days, Kazuki trained like his life depended on it. He didn't want to be in a similar situation as the Chunin Exams when Yuki was about to die and he was helpless.

During this time, he perfected the jutsu he already had and learned some new B-rank jutsu. He couldn't train his Sharingan without guidance. He also tried to master the chakra flow slash, but there wasn't much improvement. He particularly focused on a certain fire style jutsu.

Kazuki was laying on his bed as he thought, 'I have pretty good arsenal now, I know some strong B rank jutsus like Great Dragon Fire, Great Fire Annihilation, Iron Skin, Swamp of the Underworld, Water Dragon Bullet, and my strongest elemental jutsu Aqua Bull.'

'But Aqua bull isn't much reliable because it requires a set up, I can't use Rasengan in front of others, my fuinjutsu training is going pretty well.'

'Well, let's see what happens tomorrow, it's finally time to test my skill in an A rank mission.'

With that, Kazuki fell asleep.

The next day Kazuki woke up, did his morning exercise, took a bath, had breakfast, prepared his stuff and left for the mission.

When he reached the village gates, he saw Yuki, Ryuma and Akari already standing there.
