"Oh! A hidden mechanic." Adrian thought as magic control is something that is not measured in the game as numbers. It is more like a natural response of the avatar’s body which is why some races have better abilities when using magic.

"Thank you." Crown Princess Aisla stated as she woke up from the poison no longer in her body.

Even if the poison is out of her system, it does not mean that she will already be fully recovered. Her entire body still needed to rest as it fought off the influence of the poison. She would need at least an hour or so depending on the natural regeneration of a Scylla.

Adrian already finished dealing with the poison but his defenses was still up. He knew that there might be someone hidden or looking out from afar. If this was really something a large organization of followers are doing, they would not merely let one of them just be here. There should at least be another group watching from the shadows and will move depending on the outcome of this fight.

Altum had already destroyed the remaining traitors from the area and he made sure to make it hurt. He always disliked others looking down on the Deep Ones as they were often called derogatory terms that demean them. The Deep Ones always cared for him even when he had no other players friends hence, he is very protective of them.

"Sorry. It took a while to deal with all of them." Altum stated as he reverted to what he looks normally.

"No worries. Thanks for fighting in our stead as I was already caught up in holding up the barrier." Renyu stated and she then noticed that Altum looked different.

Renyu could not believe that Altum did not have a fish head anymore but an actual human face. Renyu already thought that Altum was cute with his fish head but he did not expect that he has this rugged and bad boy looking appearance. This is a contrast to his rather easy-going personality that likes quirky and cheesy things.

"Is there something wrong? You have been staring at me for some time now." Altum asked Renyu.

"Apologies, I did not know that this is what you usually look like. I have been accustomed to the cute fish head." Renyu stated.

"Oh! This is usually the form I use when I socialize with others back in Avalon. I only use the other form when in the deep ocean or deep sea since it scares people more." Altum stated and Adrian’s judging eyes could be seen darting from the former to Renyu.

"Did they at least scream something useful when you were killing them?" Adrian suddenly asked.

"Not really. All of them just wanted to escape and did not even want to say any information. You can interrogate their souls, right?" Altum stated.

"I cannot. Someone already took them as soon as they died. I also got a glare to not artificially create a malevolent entity again." Adrian stated as he made sure that the last sentence is a whisper.

"Will my sister be okay?" Princess Drona suddenly interjected as she already recovered from the events that happened so quickly.

"Yes. She would need to rest but it seems she is very much a stubborn one." Adrian stated as he looked at the Scylla crown princess already standing up.

"Thank you for saving me but we must reach the war council immediately. We must not delay this as we need to stop the bloodshed from both sides." Crown Princess Aisla stated as she asked the nearby soldiers to help her recover.

"Do you perhaps know the location of this?" Adrian asked.

"At a place near the border of the Realm of Oceanus. It is a place that is considered to be taboo to fight as it is said to be the direct entrance to that area. It might take time since most of us are not fast swimmers and there might be enemies in the shadows but we absolutely need to go." Crown Princess Aisla stated which made Adrian’s eyes light up as this suddenly became even more worth it.

"Who says that we are the ones going to swim? Wisteria, please accommodate all of us and make haste on the location." Adrian stated as Wisteria became even bigger as she carried all of them on her back as she swam like a missile towards the location.

"I already told you that we did not attack or order any attack towards Drona. You know that we like to dote on her and my son is also very fond of her as well. You need to get to the bottom of this to make sure that the ones that truly attacked her pays for it." The Merfolk King stated but the Scylla Queen could be seen just frowning.

"Emergency!" A merfolk guard suddenly barged in without any warning which made the guards present point their weapons at him.

"You dare interrupt a war council?! Does your attendants know any shame?" The Scylla Queen stated as her aura exploded.

"Let us see what he will say first as it might be related to Drona. Speak! And make sure that this is important or else your head will fall." The Merfolk King stated.

"Apologies, your majesties but there has been an attack on the border villages of the Merfolk Kingdom. It is said that a Scylla Kingdom unit has started to terrorize them and even slaughtered without remorse." The merfolk attendant stated which enraged the Scylla Queen.

"This! You dare spout lies! How can there be an attack when their queen is here!? I shall personally behead you for spreading lies!" The Scylla Queen exclaimed in fury as she just received news of her beloved youngest dying and now someone is saying that she launched an attack as retaliation.

"Are you telling the truth?!" The Merfolk King asked with a serious expression.

"Yes. We even receive it urgently using the secret line, your majesty." The merfolk attendant stated.

"Did you truly not order any retaliation? You were the one that called for this war council after all. What if you did this so you could lure me here while your soldiers attacked?" The Merfolk King asked as his prestige did not fall short compared to that of the Scylla Queen.

"If all our years of knowing each other, do you think that I will plan something like this? Scheming is not something we pride ourselves on as power is what determines the Scylla Kingdom ruler." The Scylla Queen stated as she got offended of being called a snake.

The Merfolk King suddenly found this situation quite strange as the two kingdoms were co-existing peacefully and even have talks of marriage. They are also the ones protecting the outside of the Forbidden Ocean hence they do not wage war against each other. Back in their forefather’s generation, they might fight against each other but that has been resolved during the previous reign.

The Scylla Queen was angry but she suddenly saw the look of bewilderment from the Merfolk King. Her anger has partially subsided and her thoughts became clear once more. She also suddenly started to have some doubts as the events that transpired after her daughter’s death was too escalated. All of it feel like it was creating a way to sour the relationship between the two kingdoms in an instant.

"I believe that we should pause this war council for now. I shall personally check if the attack on your end is really from our side. This is not something that our side should do as we at least know the decorum when a war council is in session. Both sides should not attack each other when it is in session after all." The Scylla Queen stated.

"As you wish. If the attack is indeed from your side, then the war council shall continue and you best expect that war will be happening." The Merfolk King stated even though he knows that something is wrong.

The two monarchs did not notice that the attendant that brought the information earlier is smiling while being hidden from view. The talks on the war council have proceeded as they planned. They will pin the blame on the attack of the border villages to the Scylla Kingdom which will enrage the Merfolk King. After this, a real war will truly begin and both sides will definitely decimate each other.

"Announcement!" Another soldier suddenly barged inside in panic which made the attendant sneer at him.

"What is it this time?!" The Scylla Queen shouted in frustration as things are suddenly piling up.

"The princess! Princess Drona is outside the war council chambers!" The soldier shouted which made both the Scylla Queen and Merfolk King bolt out of the council chambers to see if it was real.
