Only I Can Use Every Power System

Chapter 71: Cha.71 Hour Of Joy (4)

10:41 AM

"So, let’s go over the plan one last time," the officers said in a calm voice.

"There are three main entrances to the prison. First, the main gate. Second, the old guard gate. And finally, the secret tunnel."

"Team Three will go through the main gate. I don’t care how you make it inside, just make it happen. Team Four will use the old guard gate. You will be our main distraction."

"The Zookeepers aren’t stupid. They will know that Team Three attacking the main gate is meant to distract them while another team enters through the guard gate. But that’s where Team Two comes in."

"They will be our true surprise attack. They will enter through the secret tunnel."

The group first stopped far away from the main gate. From there, Team Two would continue toward the secret tunnel.

"Good luck, Aurora."

"Yeah, good luck to you as well."

They stopped again further ahead, allowing Team Four to continue on foot toward the guard gate, while Team Three and the rest of the officers continued toward the main gate in the same carriage.

The first part of the plan was executed perfectly.

Team Three immediately began destroying the main gate with their magic spells, drawing the attention of the Beastkin guarding the entrance.

Meanwhile, Team Four quietly slipped inside the prison.

So far, the only Beastkin they had encountered were the ones fighting Team Three at the main gate, so they continued with the next stage of the plan.

"When Team Four enters through the guard gate, they will either encounter enemies or they won’t. If no enemy appears, Team Four will rush toward the side courtyard and then use it to enter the inner courtyard, where you will find three separate hallways."

"You can decide who goes where."

"The left hallway leads to the prison’s command room. The middle one leads to the manual activities room, while the right one leads to the prison cells."

"All three locations are important, so Team Four must cover all of them."

Qasim and Yasmin chose the left hallway. If the fox was hiding anywhere in the prison, there was a good chance he would be in the command room.

Doran and Levia went to the right hallway, leaving Valen to take the middle one. His goal was to use whatever weapons he could find there to their advantage.

"Meanwhile, Team Two will enter through the old basement and attack the enemy from behind."

...

10:52 AM

Once they were inside, team four realized that the communication crystal didn’t work, but they continued with the plan anyway.

After they separate, Qasim and Yasmin encounter their first wave of enemies.

There were around ten Beastkin, and according to Yasmin, all of them were Irada users.

"Get those humans!"

The Beastkin charged.

Five rushed toward Yasmin while three went after Qasim.

The Beastkin fighting them directly were using Irada to enhance their physical strength.

Yasmin dodged a punch coming from her left and countered another attack coming from her right.

Suddenly, she felt something strike her side.

She looked down and saw a Beastkin’s sword glowing with a red hard aura as it touched her skin.

If she were still a Mahik, the attack would have seriously injured her.

But now, she only felt a small scratch on her skin.

Yasmin immediately covered herself and the enemies with her black cloud ability.

The cloud blocked their vision and, with her newly acquired abilities, also interfered with their sense of smell and hearing.

In a quick series of slashes, turning the situation from a fight to one sided slaughter before looking back at Qasim.

She remembered how fragile, weak, and inexperienced the boy had been.

But seeing him now, dodging attacks while casting powerful magic, she couldn’t help but feel a little impressed.

Suddenly, she felt her hair prick up as she sensed danger behind her.

The moment she turned her head, she saw one of the Beastkin she had killed standing back up and attacking her.

But their attacks weren’t as strong as before.

Their eyes were rolled back and their posture was off.

More importantly, Yasmin couldn’t sense any Life Energy coming from them.

She looked toward the two Beastkin who had stayed behind and analyzed one of them.

"Tsk... A Manipulator."

Yasmin immediately ignored the resurrected Beastkin and dashed toward the Manipulator with her black cloud.

Unfortunately, she was suddenly blocked by a red aura that stopped her path.

"A Dreamer on his second step..." she whispered as she realized who had stopped her.

The Beastkin with the sloth-like face smiled casually as he pushed Yasmin back.

"You’re a manipulator, aren’t you? Well, that’s quite unlucky for you to face me."

The sloth gives her a lazy smile.

"We both know who’s gonna win so just sit down and die."

The sloth surrounded Yasmin with his wall-like ability, slowly closing her inside a box.

Yasmin tried to use her cloud, but she couldn’t move it through the walls made of Life Energy, so she stopped her black cloud and looked around her for anything that might help, knowing that she had to do something before she would be fully trapped inside a box.

Meanwhile, Qasim was having his own problems.

He wasn’t losing by any means, but he wasn’t winning either.

Dealing with three Mahik Beastkin was much harder than he had expected.

Even when he found a weakness in one of their defenses, he couldn’t fully exploit it because the other two would immediately cover the opening and launch a counterattack.

Come to think of it, this was Qasim’s first battle against actual experts.

He had fought kidnappers and mindless monsters before, but these were trained Beastkin who could react to different situations and adapt to their opponents.

"This is not good..." he thought as he felt his body slowly taking damage from their attacks.

He then looked toward Yasmin.

She was in a difficult position as well.

Qasim couldn’t defeat these Beastkin while Yasmin seemed unable to use her powers properly.

Then, an idea came to him.

He focused on the small gap between the attackers and whispered.

A blue light covered his body.

He immediately used Light Dash to escape their attacks.

Then, he noticed something.

The walls closing around Yasmin were moving slowly.

Qasim used Light Dash again and rushed between the gap between the walls.

At the last moment, he grabbed Yasmin and pulled her out of the trap.

The two made eye contact.

Neither needed to say anything.

They understood each other’s plan.

Qasim stayed where he was while Yasmin moved back toward the three Beastkin and the resurrected corpses.

Qasim launched several quick spells at the sloth.

They didn’t seem to hurt him much, but because Qasim maintained his distance, the sloth’s walls couldn’t reach him.

Attacking the sloth from a safe distance while simultaneously avoiding his walls was exactly why Qasim had wanted to switch their opponents.

On the other side, Yasmin had little trouble dealing with the three Beastkin.

She covered them with her black cloud and slaughtered them quickly.

As expected, the dead Beastkin rose again.

But Yasmin had already thought of a simple solution.

She slashed them again.

And again.

And again.

She continued until only pieces of their bodies remained.

This time, they stayed dead.

The Manipulator Beastkin sensed the danger and tried to flee.

Yasmin quickly caught up with him and killed him as well before turning her attention toward the sloth.

"Fuck..."

The sloth quickly surrounded himself with walls of Life Energy.

Neither Yasmin nor Qasim could destroy them.

He breathed a sigh of relief and gave the two of them a lazy smile.

"guys, please, learn to talk a bit. Don’t y’all get tired from fighting all the time ?"

he starts standing up

"Anyway, I hope we won’t meet again."

he slowly begins walking away.

"...fucking psychos."

A few steps later he sees the walls shake and right before he looks up the ceiling collapses over him.

Qasim turns around to Yasmin

"huh, well done"

"I don’t think you can remove this without first removing your walls, right?"

Yasmin looked down at him.

"So what will it be?"

"Stay under the rubble and suffocate to death..."

"Or try to escape?"

The sloth’s eyes widened in disbelief as he heard Yasmin’s words.

But he couldn’t deny that he couldn’t hold his breath for much longer.

"T-That’s not fair.."

His face slowly turned red, then purple.

In the end, he removed his walls and desperately tried to dig a hole through the rubble to breathe.

But he was immediately met by Yasmin’s black cloud.

It covered both his mouth and nose, slowly suffocating him until he died.

"Good job Yasmin."

"Mmm. You too."

The two then continued their way forward.
