Kent remained a mortal, vulnerable and weak, still held in Phanesha’s firm grip, her eyes burning with anger as she gazed back at the nonchalant Paragon, who threw a grape into the air and caught it with his mouth.
Watching this, Kent cursed inwardly, ’This bastard clearly is enjoying my peril.’
Kent also cursed himself for not having any knowledge of the life he had lived before all this.
It appeared that everything happening now was connected to the life in which he was known as Avalon, the same person he had suspected was somehow connected to him.
If he had any idea of that life, perhaps things would have been different for him.
But as it stood now, his life was in Phanesha’s hands, and he couldn’t ask for a better person to come to his rescue than that Paragon who, as it stood, had a much deeper rivalry with Phanesha than even Kent himself had with her.
Phanesha and Paragon had an intense staring contest for a few minutes before Paragon laughed.
"Relax, Phanesha. We both know if you kill him now, he would return, and what happened the last time would repeat itself. So how about we all take a step back and have an adult conversation where we both get what we want?"
"And what is it that you want?" she asked, still holding on to Kent. Normally, Kent would have loved to have two big boobs pressed against the sides of his head.
However, despite finding himself in such a position, his mind hadn’t even caught up to it.
"Well, I want you to first let go of my brother and apologise to him. I am not one to brag, but he has done more for this universe than you can ever imagine, so at least show some dignity. And about him being the Chaos Dragon, yes, he is chaotic, but in the good ways.
So cut him some slack and maybe, and this is a big maybe, but maybe, I might be lenient on you and not make things hard for you."
Paragon looked at the people passed out on the floor and added, "He hates it when someone tries to hurt his wives, you see, and right now, not only did you force them to sleep, but you also sent them into terrible nightmares that would leave scars on their minds when they woke up.
If I were you, I would release them now and beg for forgiveness."
"Huh, what kind of nonsense are you talking about? I merely sent them to sleep, not into any nightmare," Phanesha frowned, looking at Paragon with an angered expression.
Clearly, Paragon wanted her to seem more evil than she already was. Even Kent, who knew what had happened to his wives, couldn’t help but curse at Paragon for being shameless.
"Oh, my bad. I mistook you for an old rival of mine who loved to send people to sleep and then send their minds into a nightmare, leaving them scarred for life," he laughed and added...
"But I am serious. Let go of him, and I will let today’s events be a thing of the past." Phanesha didn’t want to, but she understood that offending Paragon when she had already offended the Chaos Dragon wasn’t good for her at all.
So after a few complicated emotional digestions, she let go of Kent, who immediately regained his abilities and power.
He glared hatefully at Phanesha, who smirked but said nothing.
Paragon patted Kent on the shoulder. "It would be good if you recovered your memories, buddy. Things are picking up much faster than we had anticipated, so the earlier you got things done here, the better."
"As for you, Phanesha, all of this started because you just can’t appreciate greatness. You and I both know when it comes to who rules, he is the one standing before you. So instead of hating him for taking the Primal Ascension Platform, maybe appreciate what you have.
Who knows, maybe one day you will get another chance. In fact, one of my wives has already located an Ascension Platform somewhere in the Primordial Chaos, so if you want, I can ask them to give it to you at a cost, of course."
"What do you want?" Phanesha asked, and in response, Paragon smiled and moved closer.
"You see, my dear brother had just recently inherited his legacy. Soon, he would start training it, and while I would say he had all the resources to fully train it, we both know that, unless someone from the bygone era aided him, he wouldn’t be able to fully cultivate it and reach the peak.
So when the time comes, become his training buddy. Once you are done training, I would be happy to share the location of the Primal Ascension Platform with you.
You know me, and you know I don’t lie, so do we have a deal or not?"
Paragon looked at Kent and gave him a simple nod that told him that, although he didn’t understand it now, a time would come when today’s deal would aid him in every way possible.
Phanesha thought hard about the offer and, after weighing the pros and cons, she nodded. "Very well. I will compromise with you two, but this is only because I want something more important than your life, Chaos Dragon.
One day, I will reach a level where you cannot ignore me any longer. When that day comes, be sure to prepare to die."
Kent smirked and said,
"I may not have memories of the life y’all are talking about, but I can feel it in my bones that even if I close my eyes and tie both hands behind my back, you couldn’t kill me."
Phanesha frowned, and Paragon exploded in laughter. "Good response, buddy."
Phanesha gritted her teeth but said nothing to counter what Kent had said. Rather, she sneered and turned to Paragon. "Better remember our deal, Paragon."
"I will, Phanesha, and hey, when you return to your main body, say hi to your mother for me."
"Hey, bastard, stay away from my mother, you shameless womanizer." Phanesha exploded with so much anger that Paragon jumped back a few steps just to escape her outburst.
"Womanizer is such a strong word, Phanesha. I prefer man of culture, and who are you kidding? Unlike you, who would never get laid, your mother is delicious and ripe for picking."
"I will kill you!" Phanesha charged forward, but a gateway opened before her, and she was pulled inside, leaving behind her angered voice.
"Tch, what an upright woman." Paragon turned and looked at Kent. "I pity you, buddy. Conquering her would be impossible."
Kent smirked. "And who said I have any plans on conquering her?"
Paragon just laughed and looked at the devastation caused by the dark war. "I suppose you succeeded, huh? Congratulations, buddy. Next, you should focus on spending some time with family. As for me, I will leave for now. I might pop up somewhere else soon."
He turned to mist and drifted off.
Kent took a deep breath and sighed. "What a tiring day."
He stared at his people, still sleeping, and sighed again. "Tower, wake them up."

Meanwhile, somewhere far away inside the Universe Ocean, a portal opened, and Phanesha walked out with a gloomy expression.
"Mother, why did you pull me away?" Phanesha asked, glaring at a woman who, just like her, had crimson hair and red eyes. It appeared she was also a blood cultivator.
She smiled and answered, "Haven’t you missed your mother? It has been 13 eras since we last saw each other, so why don’t you give me a hug?"
