Primordial Red Goblin

Chapter 109: Ginger’s Mother

"The Goddess has prohibited the Primordials from killing each other." He said.

"Well it appears even the universe wants him dead, so much that it created me." I said.

The corner of Cornelius’s mouth raised slightly.

"That is not my place to say. But since the universe sent us an ally against Skree we will assist you in your growth. You have a long way to go before you can rival him and his race. They are parasitic in nature." He said.

"I’m afraid I’m no better. I don’t seem to have a Primordial mate, so I must take women from other races as my mates." I said.

"What about your children? Will they need to do the same?" He asked.

"At first yes. I don’t want my children breeding with each other so the first few generations will need to mate with members of other races. Of the women I have already impregnated three of them are carrying my sons and three of them are carrying my daughters. The rest are not far enough for us to tell what they are carrying." I said.

"The fact that you can have daughters will help get other Primordials on your side. The fact that you weren’t born with a mate caused some to think your race was parasitic as well." He said.

"So the Goddess speaks to the other Primordials? Why haven’t I heard from her?" I asked.

"Your level is too low to hear her voice. At your current level hearing her divine voice would kill you." He said.

"I see. So back to your role as liaison, what does that involve?" I asked.

"I am to watch you and make sure Skree and his allies don’t find you before you’re ready." He said.

"Who are his allies?" I asked.

"On this continent the trolls and ogres." He answered.

"Not the orcs?" I asked.

"No, millions of years ago Skree waged a war against the orcs that nearly wiped them out. As I said, Skree is a hostile existence. He spent a lot of time farming xp to become one of the most powerful Primordials. Only a handful of them can defeat him in single combat." Cornelius said.

"That’s good to know. But if he is so powerful what would you do if he finds me before I’m ready?" I asked.

"I will contact my father, hopefully he will arrive in time to stop Skree. My father is one of the few that can defeat him in single combat." He answered.

"What if I asked for a safe spot to live and grow my clan? Would the High Priestess let me keep the sisters I already have or will she make me leave them with the orphanages?" I asked.

"I cannot answer that for her. But I might be able to find you a place to raise your children. But first I must ask again the nature of your race." He said.

I thought about it for three full minutes before letting out a long breath. I raised my hands and pulled my helmet off and looked at Cornelius.

He narrowed his eyes and tilted his head as he examined my face.

"A goblin variant?" He asked.

"My race is listed as Primordial Red Goblin. My rank is Goblin Champion. I have been killing green goblins since the day I was born and I haven’t spared a single one." I said.

"Hmm, this migh be a problem. The orcs might not join your side. You might even lose some of those that agreed to help." He said.

"What about the Prime?" I asked.

"I don’t think it will be a problem with them. Given your actions so far you seem to be the opposite of the green ones. They may want to speak with your women to see how you treat them and compare that to the green goblins. But considering the fact that four women have stood in a temple and married you willingly I don’t think there will be a problem." He said before looking at Ginger.

"What about this one? She has a collar and isn’t a sister of the church. How did you acquire her?" He asked.

"She was a junior associate of your family. She was a member of the last group that attacked me. She surrendered and begged for mercy. I spared her life and collared her. I have not forced myself on her." I said.

He continued to stare at Ginger for a minute.

"The daughter of the Fox-kin couple that was especially upset when I ordered them to leave you alone." He said.

"I believe so. Her father wasn’t too happy when I refused to ransom her. I have decided to keep her." I said.

"I will speak with the family about what was discussed here today. I must take my leave." He said as he stood.

I put my helmet back on.

"Do you think I should show my face to the High Priestess?" I asked.

"After you tell her what you told me. If you show her before you explain yourself it might hurt your case." He said.

"Noted." I replied.

He opened the door and we left the office. I led the girls through the building and crossed paths with a Fox-kin woman.

"Ginger!" She shouted.

Ginger turned and saw who was calling her and looked at me.

"That is my mother." She said.

"You may speak to her but stay with us." I said.

Ginger turned and faced her mother.

"Hello mother." She said.

Her mother ran up and hugged Ginger before turning to me.

"My name is Roux, I am Ginger’s mother. Please name your price. Let us have our daughter back." She begged.

"There is no price. I have grown fond of her soft hands and have decided to keep her." I said.

"Please. I’ll give you anything, just give her back." She said.

"No. I would have been willing to hear an offer when I spoke to your husband but after he attacked me in his office I changed my mind. I will not be releasing her." I said.
