"Can I help you sir?" Asked an employee.
"Yes, tell me about these goblins you sell." I said.
"Of course sir. Each level one goblin costs one silver. A level two goblin costs one silver fifty bronze. The prices continues to increase fifty bronze for each additional level you want the goblin to be. If you only want one goblin so someone can unlock a class that will just be one silver. If you want twenty level one goblins so someone can reach level two that will be twenty silver. " He explained.
"What if I have a kid that hasn’t unlocked a class and I want them to reach level five? Or level ten?" I asked.
"From unclassed to level five would require one hundred twenty-four level one goblins. That will cost one gold twenty-four. From unclassed to level ten that will take six hundred forty level one goblins and will cost six gold forty." He answered.
"And do you have a place to do the killing? Or is that done somewhere else?" I asked.
"Yes, we have cages for the killing. If you wish we can even chain the goblins to the cage so they can’t get close enough to harm your child. To rent the cage is an additional fifty bronze." He said.
"Do you have more than one cage?" I asked.
"Yes, we have ten." He replied.
"Can I see them?" I asked.
"Yes sir, follow me." He said before turning and leading me to the cages.
We walked behind the main building where the cages are. They were about the size of a boxing ring on earth.
"See the chains along the wall? We can chains the goblins there and your children can stand outside it’s reach to do the killing." He explained.
"Do I need to make an appointment or can I come anytime?" I asked.
"If you plan on getting the unclassed to level ten package we require a two day notice so we can prepare, if you want the unclassed to level five package we only require one day." He said.
"What if I want two of the unclassed to level five packages?" I asked.
"Hmm, I think we can have them ready in one day." He said.
"Good, I’ll be back tomorrow with two kids to get their classes." I said.
"Very well sir, we require payment before we bring the first goblin to the cages." He added.
"That’s fine, I’ll pay you when I return tomorrow." I said.
I turned and walked back to the carriage.
"Back to the orphanage." I said to the driver.
"So what’s the plan now?" Sarah asked.
"When we get home I’m going to wait for the children to get home. Then I’m taking Annie and Ron to get armor and gear. Tomorrow I will bring them here to unlock their class." I answered.
"What? But aren’t they too young?" Lilly asked.
"Too young? The goblins will be chained to the wall of a cage. They will be able to kill goblins without ever being in danger." I said.
"Are you sure?" Lilly asked.
"Yes I’m sure. Remember, as the sponsor of the orphanage I am basically their father. I am ensuring my children are as prepared as possible before stepping out on their own." I said.
"If you say so." Lilly muttered.
We returned to the orphanage I told the driver to wait outside. I waited twenty minutes before the children arrived. When Annie and Ron walked in I instructed them to put their stuff in their rooms and come back down stairs. When they returned Amber, Ginger, and I got into the carriage with Annie and Ron. I instructed the driver to take us to the armoror.
"Why are we going to the armoror Mr. Red? Ron asked.
"How is your training coming along?" I asked.
"Good. I think I’m getting pretty good." He answered.
"How about you Annie?" I asked.
"I can consistently hit the ten ring of the target at twenty yards. At twenty-five yards I can consistently hit the eight ring." She answered.
"Do the two of you think you would have any problems killing goblins that are chained to a fence?" I asked.
"No, I can definitely kill it like that." Ron smiled.
"Me too. If it can’t rush me I can stand twenty feet away and kill it easily." Annie said.
"Good. Today I will be buying the gear I promised you and tomorrow I will be taking both of you to a goblin farm to unlock your class." I said.
They both looked at me in shock.
"What? Have either of you changed your minds about becoming adventurers?" I asked.
"No, of course not. I just thought I would have e to wait until I we turned eighteen." Annie said.
"Do you want to wait? With me leaving for the forest and Sapphire City I can’t promise I will be here when you turn eighteen." I said.
"No, tomorrow is great." Ron said.
"Yeah, tomorrow is fine." Annie smiled.
"Now. The only question left is do you only want to kill one or do you want to hit level five?" I asked.
"Level five?" They asked together.
"Yes. They have agreed to sell me enough goblins for both of you to reach level five tomorrow." I replied.
Both of them smiled at me.
"Why are you doing this?" Ron asked.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Why are you helping us? Everyone at the orphanage?" He asked.
"My wife Sarah and I are both orphans. Sarah’s parents were murdered by bandits on the road and I never had any. When I saw the orphanage and how much the sisters were struggling I couldn’t standby and do nothing. I had the coin to help so I did. When I became the sponsor of the orphanage all of the children in it became my children. What kind of man wouldn’t want his children to have the best start they can possibly have before beginning their lives?" I asked.
