Primordial Red Goblin

"Because after everything you have done for us that is what I thought you were doing." She said.

"Is this what you want?" I asked.

"As long as you continue caring for the children as you have been I am fine with it." She admitted.

"What about the four of you? I don’t even know your names." I said.

"I am sister Nyx." Said the black haired cat-kin.

"I am sister Sandy." Said the brown haired dog-kin.

"I am sister Lisa." Said one of the human women.

"I am sister Alice." Said the other human woman.

"Well sisters, do you want me to sponsor this orphanage and essentially becoming your owner?" I asked.

They each glanced at each other for several minutes.

"What would you do with us if you did?" Asked sister Nyx.

"I don’t know, have you continue caring for the children I guess. What else would I do with you?" I asked.

"If you become the sponsor of this orphanage you would legally own the orphanage and as long as you keep the orphanage running you would legally own the five of us as if we were common slaves. Legally you could do anything you wanted with us including-" sister Nyx trailed off as her eyes dropped to the floor.

I looked at my girls then back at sister Nyx.

"Or what?" I asked.

"You could legally bed us whenever you want. The only thing you cannot do is separate us from this orphanage." Sister Lilly said.

I looked at the five women in front of me before looking at Sarah.

"What the fuck is wrong with this world?" I asked Sarah.

"That is just the way it is. If you sponsor the orphanage the church will even put collars on us to ensure we follow your orders as our sponsor." Sister Lilly added.

"If you fully funded this orphanage so we didn’t have to stand on the streets and beg people for a bronze coin it would be worth it to me." Sister Sandy said.

"I have been with this orphanage for ten years, ever since I turned eighteen. In all that time you are the first person who has ever donated an entire gold coin. Then even after that you have given every child an outfit for every day of the week and a brand new bed. Then you gave us fourteen gold coins to basically rebuild this entire building. If you ordered me to strip and lay down right now I would do it out of pure gratitude." Sister Lilly admitted.

I just stared at sister Lilly in shock.

"I can’t believe what I’m hearing right now. What about the others? I won’t feel right unless all five of you consent to this. My girls and I will be leaving today to enter the forest and will return in a week or two. I will think about all of this in that time and I expect the five of you to do the same." I said as I turned and walked down the stairs.

We left the orphanage in silence and walked to the adventurer guild where the girls went inside to get a new mission. Amber stayed outside with me and looked up at me.

"What?" I asked.

"Those kids need you." She said.

"You want me to own the orphanage? And those women?" I asked.

"You owned me. And Lucy and Lyra." She said.

"The three of you were already slaves and I freed all three of you. I would be the one putting the collars on their necks. I would be the one taking their freedom. It’s different." I explained.

"I see." She said.

After ten minutes the girls came back out with a new mission.

"Another goblin mission. I registered Lucy and Lyra as members of my party while we were in there. Amber didn’t go in so I couldn’t add her." Sarah said.

We left the adventurer guild and went to a shop to buy supplies. I bought a bigger tent and sold the smaller one. I also got some dried food. I spent three silver for everything. After leaving the shop we left the city and entered the forest. We walked for a full hour in silence before Sarah spoke.

"What a day this turned out to be." She said.

I sighed before turning to Sarah.

"What should I do about the orphanage?" I asked.

"That’s up to you. But can you live with yourself knowing you could have done more for those kids but didn’t because you didn’t want to take those women’s freedom away from them?" Sarah asked.

"I won’t do it if they don’t all consent to it." I said.

"I know." She replied.

We walked for the rest of the day and made camp. I set up the tent while the girls got dressed for bed and we went into the tent and went to sleep. We woke up the next morning and got dressed. Sarah and I put our armor on. Amber put on her leather armor and Lyra put on her black bodysuit. Lucy wore one of her dresses with her walking shoes. I took down the tent and we ate breakfast.

"When we find the goblins I will bring them one at a time. I will tie the first one to a tree so Amber can use her bow to kill it and unlock her archer class." I said.

Amber clapped and cheered.

"Yay. I get to kill a goblin." She said.

We finished eating and started walking. Lyra ran ahead to scout our path.

"Don’t go to far ahead of me." I said as she ran off.

"I won’t." She smiled.

We walked for two hours before Lyra returned to the group.

"I found a goblin scouting party. There’s three of them." She said.

"Stay here, I’ll go grab one." I said.

I ran ahead and snuck up behind the goblins and quietly snatched the one in the back and returned to the girls.
