Anthony pretended not to hear, walked over and sat down a bit further from Thomas Fisher. His gaze deliberately avoided Thomas and directly swept towards Alice Turner who was walking over, "Sister Alice! Have you decided yet? Which company are we partnering with?"

This shouldn’t have been said in front of the boss of one of the companies, but he went against the norm and did it so brazenly.

"We’ll discuss this later." Alice knew Anthony was doing this on purpose, why exactly he was doing it, she wasn’t quite sure.

Don’t be fooled by this guy and his playful appearance; when he gets down to business, he’s quite serious. She’s seen it firsthand.

But Anthony pressed on relentlessly: "I want to come up with a result with you right now. Are we partnering with Mr. Fisher or with your ex-husband?"

He looked at the woman who had just sat down, waiting seriously for her to give a clear answer.

"Mr. Anthony! What’s your company’s hourly work schedule?" Before Alice could speak, Thomas Fisher chimed in, with a slight air of displeasure and discontent.

Anthony caught the implication in Thomas’s words, sensing his irritation, but directly ignored it, "Since we’re not at the company, I..."

"Since we’re not at the company, then please Mr. Anthony, go back to your room. I have something private to say to my girlfriend, you’re technically in the way here." Before Anthony could finish, Thomas interrupted him, standing up.

Seeing this, Alice quickly stood up to hold him back, "Just go back to the room first, we’ll talk about our matters tomorrow."

All the while speaking, she pulled him towards the door.

"You come with me." Thomas seized Alice’s hand, gripping it with considerable strength, which made her hand ache.

"Ouch! That’s hurting me." Alice realized the man was upset, and somewhat angry with her for suggesting he go back to his room.

She wasn’t some delicate doll; she could handle the pain in her hand, she just wanted him to let go of it.

Thomas glanced down at Alice calling out in pain, relaxed his grip a little, but didn’t fully release her hand; he still held it, with no intention of letting it go.

Alice turned her head to look at Anthony, then glanced down at Thomas’s hand holding hers, finally raising her gaze to the owner of the hand, "You go back, I’ll call you after the discussion."

This time, her tone inadvertently came with a hint of playfulness.

"...Then finish up with him quickly, I’ll wait for your call." Thomas hesitated for a moment, but ultimately relented, leaned in to give Alice a kiss, then let go of her hand and left the room alone.

As he left the room and was about to close the door, he suddenly cast a sharp look at Anthony, "Brat! Don’t intentionally delay."

After saying that, he forcefully closed the room door.

"Sis! That man..."

"You annoyed him."

Anthony raised his hand, pointing towards the door in frustration to accuse Thomas Fisher, but before he could voice his complaint, Alice walked over and interrupted him impolitely.

Being interrupted, Anthony pouted and retorted: "How can he be so petty?"

Pettiness! So much smaller than the tip of a needle.
