Rebirth: Beasts Bound

Chapter 106: AN EYE FOR AN EYE

"Where’s Darian?" I asked, and:

Azrael pushed the door open as I walked in, letting my heels do the announcing. As soon as I arrived I stared straight at the two individuals, their hands chained upwards just like mine was earlier.

"Please, I’m sorry!" Rosy said softly, before coughing out a mouthful of blood, "We are sisters you can’t do this to me. I loved you the most?" She begged, seething through pain. I felt something shift in my heart and I sighed softly.

"Remove the chain!" I mumbled under my breath and Azrael held my hands "I can’t let that happen. She hurt you?" He whispered into my ear, but I gave him a reassuring look. Who said I was going to let her go? No, I would give her the taste of her medicine, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

The chain draped off and she fell into the ground, she groaned softly and I stepped into the light. I crouched down and held her chin.

"You didn’t have this look last time?" I spoke calmly, her lips parted to say something, but her words were hoarse and dry, I didn’t hear a word.

"I’m, I didn’t-" she didn’t finish her words and I held her cheeks so tight, she sucked in air, hissing in pain...her body had streak marks of whip in them, she was covered in her blood.

"I’m sorry!" She said tears falling down her cheeks, smearing my hands with the dirt in her face, my lips parted but then Darian finally woke up. He coughed out, using his left eye to look around the surrounding!

"Raven!" He cursed out, but tree roots moved in the ground rose up and snaked around his body holding him so tight and covering his mouth, he screamed but only muffled sounds escaped from his lips.

The chain was let loose and he landed hard on the ground. He immediately tried to use his magic, and purple mist flared around his hand, but Azrael stepped on it before it could form properly.

Darian screamed in pain..

The room felt unbearably hot, the air heavy and suffocating. Roots burst from the ground and wrapped around his body, pinning him down no matter how much he struggled. Sharp nails rose from beneath him, locking his limbs in place and preventing any chance of escape.

I sat quietly in the chair they had brought for me, watching.

Azrael moved first, his dark green-black mist rolled off his body, thick and ominous. It wrapped around Darian like a living thing, tightening around his chest until a loud crack echoed through the room. Darian thrashed violently, but the roots only tightened further, forcing him back down.

Thyrian stepped forward next....Silver-white mist flowed from his fingertips, calm and beautiful like moonlight on water. Yet there was nothing gentle about it. The power swept over Darian’s body in waves, pressing down on him from every direction. His muscles seized, his body jerking uncontrollably as the pressure intensified, and muffled screams escaped behind the roots covering his mouth.

Veyra folded his arms and smiled.,..

His red mist drifted lazily through the air before slipping into Darian’s wounds. The moment it entered, Darian’s entire body went rigid. Whatever Veyra was doing wasn’t visible from the outside, but the panic in Darian’s eye told me enough, his breathing became ragged....

Ryker crouched beside him, unlike the others, he didn’t attack immediately. He simply watched Darian struggle for a few seconds before flicking a finger. Orange mist danced through the air and struck different parts of Darian’s body without warning.

One moment his shoulder twitched, the next his leg jerked violently, then his entire body convulse, making Ryker grinned.

"I don’t like bullies, especially those who hurt our master" he said casually.

Sweat mixed with blood across Darian’s body. The room had become so quiet that every strained breath sounded loud.

"What a beautiful sight," I thought.

He was finally bleeding after causing me so much pain! I was satisfied a bit, but it wouldn’t make up for my cubs that he killed.

Azrael’s gaze shifted toward me briefly before returning to Darian. With a simple motion of his hand, the roots forced Darian’s face against the floor.

Thyrian’s mist flowed over the injuries, not healing them but keeping him conscious enough to feel everything, Veyra slowly circled him.

"Do you regret it now?" he asked softly, Darian tried to answer, but only muffled sounds came out, Veyra chuckled.

"I’ll take that as a no."

Ryker tapped one of the nails holding Darian down. "Still trying to use magic?" he asked mockingly, and the purple mist flickered weakly around Darian’s fingers.

Azrael immediately crushed his fingers this time, and the room fell silent again except for Darian’s labored breathing, his eye eventually found mine, for the first time, there was no arrogance left in it.

I stared back calmly, I didn’t feel sympathy for him, he deserved it., my heartbeat just remained steady as I watched him struggle, the same fear...the same helplessness...the same pain he had forced me to endure, now it belonged to him.

Azrael remained standing beside him like a silent executioner, while Thyrian’s silver mist drifted around the room.

Veyra watched with cold amusemen and Ryker leaned lazily against the wall.

And through it all, Darian remained trapped beneath the roots and nails, unable to escape no matter how hard he fought.

The muffled sounds behind the roots gradually weakened, yet nobody moved.

The room remained hot and suffocating as Darian lay there broken, bleeding, and completely at our mercy...

"Someone is here!" Azrael said and I snapped my gaze to the door, my eyes darkened.

"Catch her!" I said and immediately Azrael eyes flashed black, and Elowen teleported into the room, she stared at the ground and her eyes widened.

"Blood!" She screamed and stood up, crawling backwards, but then I stood up and my dragon sword appeared in my hands.

The tip landed straight on ehr throat and she froze "You sent them didn’t you?"
