Rebirth: Beasts Bound

"What happened here?" I asked.

Caelum placed his hands on my shoulders. "I heard you lost your cubs. My condolences," he said, I nodded, but turned to gaze at my beast-men, whose eyes were fixed on my shoulders.

"Does everyone know?" I asked, he shook his head negatively and moved away.

"The storm earlier caused this!" he said, and I bit down on my lip, knowing fully well it was because of me.

"Well, let’s get cleaning," I mumbled and gestured for my beast-men to lend a hand.

Azrael placed my hands inside the gloves and strapped them tightly. I simply stared at him in admiration.

Ryker gently took my feet and placed them into the protective boots, while Thyrian placed the goggles over my eyes, and Veyra tied the lab apron around my waist.

Professor Caelum stopped in one swift motion upon seeing all of this, and a smile curved on his lips.

"You are living the dream, Young Miss!" he mumbled, making me chuckle.

Of course I am, I thought and sucked in my bottom lip, gently stretching my hands.

I walked into the foamy liquid and immediately began picking out the shattered pieces of glass.

Veyra grabbed the mop and started mopping the floor when suddenly Cat appeared.

"Ravennnnn!" she called loudly. I jerked back, almost landing on a piece of glass when Veyra caught me by the waist.

"Be careful. Don’t slip," he said and gently poked my nose, making me blink my lashes.

My smile stretched, and I bit down on my lower lip. Then Cat appeared right above his head, and everything turned black and white.

"What’s the occasion?" I asked, she merely blinked innocently, and a panel appeared.

"Congratulations, your one ticket to peace... Explore the World has been rewarded back to you!" Cat said.

I stopped in my tracks. "Really?" I asked excitedly.

Shouldn’t I be trying to find the final villain instead of actually exploring? I wondered, and Cat smiled as if reading my mind.

"Don’t worry. That part will not progress until you get back. Last time you rejected the Travel Exploration Card, now it’s being given back to you!" Cat replied.

Actually, it was a good idea. Since I was now an S-rank female, I really needed to chill out for a little after all these conspiracies.

"I accept, but when do I leave?" I asked.

Cat smirked. "Today by evening."

[Congratulations, Host. You have been given a ship for your exploration.]

Seeing the panel, I nodded in agreement, and Cat disappeared.

Azrael approached me that second and placed his hand on my waist, lifting me out of the foaming lab substance.

"Wait here," he said, sweeping the liquid away.

Just then, the door opened and Liora walked in. "Raven!" she screamed, running toward me. She enveloped me in a huge hug that instant.

"Is anything wrong?" I asked, she shook her head and gently held my waist.

But then I heard Veyra snap his teeth in protest at her actions, I giggled and winked at him. "She’s not going to steal me away!" I said.

He rolled his eyes, while Ryker merely stared before gazing at Liora, giving her the look of, ’Get your hands off.’

"Ignore them," I said, she nodded.

"I have a surprise for you," she said, I raised a brow. "What’s the surprise?" I asked curiously.

"Guess."

I groaned, I was a very bad guesser. Even if I tried, I would never get it right.

"I can’t," I said, slumping my shoulders in defeat as nothing flashed through my mind.

"I also got an All-Time Travel Exploration Card," she said and immediately pulled out the physical card. Its rectangular form shimmered, It was a bright black-and-golden card.

I couldn’t help but gasp. Did Cat know about this?

"We are going to have so much fun," Liora said and moved closer, whispering in my ear.

"Extra bed care from your beast-men!" My cheeks heated up that instant.

"Stop," I begged, but she didn’t stop. "They could tickle your waist, and perhaps you’ll get pregnant again," she whispered.

I rolled my eyes. Although the word pregnant made my heart tighten in worry, I managed to calm myself down...I’m an S-rank now. My cubs wouldn’t die again, I would protect them properly, and so would my beast consorts.

"It’s not going to be fun with you around," Ryker chirped in, and gave me a questioning look. I pulled Liora closer, placing my hands around her waist. "Are you jealous?" I taunted.

He smiled. "Yes. Very." He said, resting his head against the top of the wooden broom. I hadn’t expected such a straightforward answer, and my cheeks turned rosy red.

"That’s not how you flirt!" Veyra chirped in and winked at me.

"This is how you do it," he said, his eyes buried intensely into mine, I looked away and coughed.

But suddenly, Azrael’s face was so close that my breath hitched.

Why were they doing this on purpose? Azrael’s hair fell to the side of his face, and he flashed a smile, one that made my heart race, he hardly smiled, so he looked so good right now.

"Master, you are stuck with us on this trip. Liora is going to ruin it!" Thyrian’s voice echoed from behind me.

When did he get there so fast? Before my lips could even part, his hand rested on my waist, I gasped, hen he tickled me.

"Wa-hahahahaha!" I burst into a fresh fit of laughter, he couldn’t hide his smile.

"Beautiful laugh, Master," he said.

Liora sighed. "I’m so jealous," she mumbled.

At that moment, her eagle beast-man walked in. "How can you be when I’m right here?" he said, resting his hands on her wrist, I let go of her, and he pulled her closer against him.

"Everyone’s watching," she mumbled shyly. Instead, he held her chin and planted a kiss on her lips.

My eyes widened....Gawd, I swear I saw his tongue, I swallowed hard, damn I need kiss from my beast-men

Just then, a hand hovered over my eyes, blocking my view.

"Huh?"

"You are only permitted to stare at us," my beast-men said in unison, making my face turn instantly red.

"Everyone out!" Caelum’s voice echoed, I chuckled softly.

"You are all making out when you should be working," he scolded with a scoff.

Azrael gazed at him and raised a brow. "A few hours ago, you were kissing Sonia, Professor!" he exposed.

Caelum’s face turned red instantly. "Azraelllll!"
