Morbius looked different, at least to Jacob. The last time he saw Morbius, he was able to overpower him in one swift move and send him skittering off.

Now, with just a tenth of the Demon King’s power, the Demon general had somewhat evolved. His body was more defined, covered in veins. His biceps were bigger, his eyes were a shade of dark red, and his horns were longer.

"Morbius." Alaric’s voice tore through the entire garden in one long hiss, highlighting his utter hate and disain for the demon that stood in place of Lucien.

"Alaric, my friend. Long time, no see." Morbius said, his voice laced with confidence. "I see you brought the rest of the party."

Morbius refrained from meeting Jacob’s gaze however, he still remained wary about the young man.

"How about we finish what we started the last time? Surely you’ve trained well enough to be able to face me." Morbius said again, flexing his newfound muscles proudly.

"You will fail Morbius." Rhaenys responded, for the first time, there was venom in her voice, aimed unequivocally at the demon.

"We already know your plan, you are not getting past us." Banqui said.

While the Elders and Morbius exchanged words, Jacob looked at Seraphina, who stood there in silence, she was the closest to the tree. All of a sudden she heard his voice in her mind.

Morbius is not with the sap. He had implanted it on a flying demon, he plans to create the distraction himself. While the demon pours the sap on the tree.’ Jacob’s voice said to her.

That’s an interesting change of events.’ She said, seemingly unfazed by the entirety of the situation.

Yes, since you can fly, I want you to hinder that demon. I have already instructed Xenia to deal the killing blow and take the sap from it.’ Jacob started. ’The demon also has an invisibility skill, so it would be a little difficult to locate it—

Don’t you worry, Jacob, leave it to me.

Seraphina and Jacob nodded to each other, then Jacob turned his gaze back to Morbius, who was now visibly annoyed.

Phoenixes had a particular set of eyes, which allowed them to perceive things which were deliberately trying to hide in plain sight. Skills like invisibility were completely useless against a Phoenix. These eyes were called <Firestar>.

On Seraphina’s pupils, were imprints of red flame colored stars. Whenever she activated them, they were able to see the Qi in every individual, regardless of race, in flame form. The color of the flame depended on how strong the individual was, so even if an individual was invisible, she would still be able to perceive them by the flame color of their Qi.

"Alaric, let’s leave the banter for the lesser beings and settle this like grown men, a duel for the history books, how about it?" Morbius roared, a wide, mischievous grin flashed on his face as he tightened his grip on his sickles, the blades groaning in anticipation.

Alaric’s lips curved into a smile, he was strong, one of the strongest humans in the world, but he could not face Morbius in this current condition, and he knew it. "I see the hunger for blood in you Morbius—Unfortunately you would not be going against me..."

Before the man could even finish his sentence, Jacob stepped in front of him, now face to face with this grotesque demon. Morbius was forced to look into Jacob’s cold, bluish gold eyes for the first time, his expression instantly changed. What was once a wide, proud grin, now faded into an uncertain frown.

Morbius felt as though a cold breeze swept pass his feet, causing him to look down and realize that he was still standing in a puddle of Lucien’s blood, which was now starting to grow cold.

"Very well." Morbius said after a long silence. "What greater joy is there than to wipe out two generations of Ironfell blood." Morbius forced a smile on his face and licked his lips.

"But how am I to ensure that none of you interfere to save the boy." Morbius flashed his teeth.

"I think he’s more than capable of taking you alone." Alaric responded.

The rest of the people standing constantly looked around, readying themselves incase Morbius had a surprise planned. They knew he wasn’t here for a duel with Alaric or Jacob, and that his olan was still in motion somehow.

"No! I know how!" Morbius flashed another sinister grin and raised his hand, one sickle dangling from a chain connected to the one he held. The sickle in his hand began to glow in a bright crimson hue.

Suddenly, dozens of dark portals formed behind him, and troops of demon soldiers began to step out of them, they numbered thousands by the time most of them had come out completely.

Jacob and the rest of the party watched on, the elders, who had faced Morbius’ demon army before were wide-eyed at the sheer number of demons that had emerged from the portals, as they weren’t this many the last time.

Finally, from the portal beside Morbius, a larger demon stepped out, each step heavy enough to cause a avalanche from the peak of a mountain. It looked much like Morbius, but it was even more grotesque, about two times his size, and had tubes flowing in and out of his body, these tubes transporting a bluish liquid.

Destro.

The portals closed and an army of demons stood before them, all holding unique weapons and wielding unique powers.

"So this is the might of the Demon King’s army, scary." Light exclaimed.

Xenia was utterly speechless as she watched.

"It is only but a fraction of what we’ll see if they succeed." Jacob responded to Light.

"Now it’s fair. I can keep you all occupied, while I have fun with little Ironfell here." Morbius said as he grinned.

The air was thick as the space between the elders and the demon army was not that wide. Even though the garden was large enough to accommodate them all, nothing but pure chaos would ensue.
