"This would ensure that none of you ants would get in my way." Morbius’ gutttural laughter tore through the air.

He had a newfound sense of confidence as the army of demons stood behind him. Waiting for his command. Jacob maintained a listless look on his face.

It was understandable as to why Morbius would be this confident, after all, he had the power of the Demon King flowing through his veins.

The Demon King was an extremely powerful entity. There was not much known in the history books about him, and of all the people, and demons that currently stood in this garden; Jacob knew without a doubt that he was the only one that had laid eyes on him.

Albeit it was in a vision, or in the future; it was as real as anything the young man had ever felt.

Morbius had a wide, confident grin on his face, which displayed a surprisingly white set of teeth and fangs, showing that he was still a monster underneath all that bravado.

There was nothing else to do but fight, but Jacob had something to say to them still, so he infiltrated their minds once more.

Grandpa, you see that huge hunk of meat right there, that’s Destro. Just so you know, that’s the thing that killed Joe Joe.’ Jacob spoke telepathically to Alaric.

Immediately those words resonated in his brain, Alaric flew into a controlled rage, the wind around him began to circulate slowly and his eyes glowed a deep white, with short flickers of lightning spreading around them. ’How dare that stupid thing kill my best friend! Leave it to me Jacob, I’ll turn that fucker into minced meat.

Jacob smiled knowingly, he had deliberately told Alaric that so that the old man can focus on the monster, although the monster had killed Joe Joe, Joe Joe wasn’t exactly in a position to fight, he had been injured and tied up.

Alaric, however, was complerely geared up, and as angry as a wild boar. Destro would not have it as easy as he did then.

Everyone!’ Another broadcast message resounded in their minds in the sound of Jacob’s voice. ’I just want to say, I need you to give it your all, each and every one of you is the last hope of your kind. Remember that the enemy you face possesses no emotions...

Spare us the sappy pep talk boy. Let’s get to clobbering.’ Thorin’s voice interrupted Jacob’s as the giant roared.

Very well.’ Jacob acknowledged the giant’s words and nodded his head, he felt a little insulted, but he also agreed that there was no longer any time to waste on talking.

He would get Thorin to apologize later.

"Alright let’s get these fuckers!" Light shouted, unaware if he was able to speak again, but he did not particularly care at this point. He unsheathed his sword as the blade came out with crackles of black and white energy swirling around it.

His eyes turned black and whitish grey as he smiled mischievously, he had already mastered most of his powers and could not wait to decimate as many of these grotesque demons as he could.

Seraphina, remember what we discussed.’ Jacob communicated with the Phoenix who nodded her head and suddenly began to glow in a golden flame hue. It was as though her entire body was on fire.

Morbius watched on, a wide grin still plastered on his face as he looked at Jacob, not shifting his gaze for one second.

Yes the boy was strong, but he was also stronger now. With the Demon King’s powers, there was no way he would lose to some little boy. He would kill the boy, and then kill his grandfather. Only then would his revenge be complete.

"Charge!" Morbius raised ince glowing sickle in the air and just like the sound of a gunshot, his command ripped through the air in the large space. The rumbling of thousands of feet crashing into the earth could suddenly be heard, as the demons now attacked with all the ferocity they could muster.

In less than five seconds, the sound of steel on steel could be heard hipplimg through the space, blades clashed, enemies fell, sparks flew.

Clang! Clang!

A massive battle ensued.

Alaric, of course focused on his large, repulsive opponent with glowing eyes and a blade that spanned the width of the lower part of a car door.

Destro’s hide was particularly thick, and the monster was imbued with the energy of the blue tree sap, so it was also extremely fast.

But Alaric in rage mode was a tough bat to catch, he danced through the space available to him in short flickers of lightning, striking every opening he perceived in the moment.

The old white-haired man was irregularly quick, he moved through the wind as though he had no weight whatsoever. He appeared behind Destro and swung low, the large, shiny blade aimed at the back of the hideous monster’s knees. Destro caught wind of it rather quickly and turned around, stooping the blade between its hands with a loud grunt.

"You despicable monster. You couldn’t even demand a worth duel with my friend. You had to make a mockery of him and kill him like a coward." Alaric hissed after managing to free his blade, it was as though his power was reinforced in that moment. Flickers of white lightning began to swirl around him, he grew even faster as he tore through the battle field like a shotgun bullet, strinking Destro repeatedly and in no orderly fashion.

"You... piece... of... dilapidated... despicable... unsightly... trash... dieee!" The old man yelled, a tear seemingly dropped out of a single glowing eye as his attacks grew even faster, sending a barrage of sword strikes aimed directly at different parts of the grotesque monster’s bare body.

When he was done, there was a cloud of dust around Destro, Alaric was breathing heavily but still clinging on to the blade, desperately as his mind wasn’t settled yet.

It wasn’t apparent yet whether the monster was dead or not, that barrage of attacks was sure to kill almost every living thing.

Almost...

There was suddenly a low growl emerging from the cloud of dust...
