Destro emerged out of the near opaque cloud of dust with only a few cuts and bruises on its body, the cuts were without blood, suggesting that this creature was either undead; or just a freak design.

There was a large gash on its chest which revealed a glowing blue substance, Alaric caught whiff of it just before the gash closed up completely.

"So that’s where your core is you filthy monster." The old man smiled wryly, the battle was not over, but at least now he knew how to kill the creature. Destro roared loudly, revealing tears on either side of its mouth that made it even wider.

Alaric did not hesitate, he lunged it to another rapid attack, fueled only by his hate for the creature.

On another end of the battlefield, streaks of light and dark were flying all over the place as Light cut through a plethora of demons who lunged at him openly. He seemed to be enjoying himself as he cut them down rather easily and there was a smile attached to his face.

"Take that!" He yelled as a demon split into two pieces of black and white under the force of his new blade, another skill that he had added to his arsenal once Jacob left the Wutherhorn estate.

"...and that!" He yelled again as he severed the head of another, he found himself surprised at how weak these creatures were, low level demons were weaker than anything he had ever faced in his entire life.

In all fairness, no one had ever boasted about their strength, it was the sheer number of them that was always terrifying.

On another end, with graceful elegance, Xenia made her way through the battlefield one demon at a time, she danced through these creatures with a level of precision that would make any swordsman water at the mouth.

The way her hair swung around her neck and face, the way her manicured fingers curled around the blade handle. Even though Light was currently preoccupied with his fair share of opponents, he could not help but watch this woman, it was the first time he had ever seen her fight, and it left him utterly bamboozled.

She cut, weaved, kicked, and punched, leaving a trail of dead demon corpses in her wake. She kept an eye on Seraphina who stood directly in front of the tree, semi-protecting Yggros and the tree, and waiting for the exact moment to strike the invisible demon, who didn’t seem to have shown up yet.

The Phoenix stood in place, glowing in a deep, bright flame colors, her kind’s own way of harnessing their Qi.

The rest of the elders fought valiantly, as expected, each one of them sliced and pummeled through the demon army with experience and power. Sylvanor on one end, short as he was, moved between their bodies like the seasoned veteran he was, every single demon he passed was not left alive. They dropped like flies every time he moved.

Banqui swerved with a speed that was not befitting of his size, he held no weapons as his claws and his main power <DragonFire> was enough to bring hordes of demons down completely.

Esty was a warrior who did not look the part, she didn’t stain her hands with the blood of these unsightly creatures, her powerful magic was more than enough to completely decimate a large number of them.

Rhaenys, Thorin, Armand, all worked together to clear out any number of demons that came towards the direction of the tree, which is where most of the demons were headed. They all had it in the back of their minds that Morbius was the one who held the sap, but they could not tell if he had passed it to one of these lowly demons without their knowledge, and they wouldn’t take any chances.

The demon general was cunning, and sinister, there was no telling what he would do,

Jacob had also refrained from telling them that Morbius was no longer with it, to enable them focus on the enemy they could see. He only told Seraphina, because she was the one who would be able to perceive the flying demon without problems.

The battle was chaotic, clouds of smoke and dust filled the entire place, new craters being formed in the earth. The sounds of lightning streaks and metal clanging whipped through the air in zips, the guttural screams of demons who were being cut down in many different grotesque ways could also be heard.

At the same time, the showdown between Jacob and Morbius was about to begin. The demon brandished his sickles and looked towards Jacob with a knowing smile.

"I know you believe you will win this battle." Morbius said in a low voice, but not low enough that Jacob couldn’t hear through all the chaos.

"I don’t think, I know." Jacob responded, a listless look on his face.

Morbius furrowed his brows. "That personality you have makes me want to vomit my intestines, even your grandfather is more lively during a duel." Morbius frowned now, slightly annoyed by the look of boredom on Jacob’s face.

"Are we going to talk? Or are we going to fight?" Jacob asked, but he didn’t even give the demon time to respond before he spoke again. "Look around, you’re losing already."

"Is that so?" Morbius said sarcastically as he turned his head around, the amount of demon corpses lined up on the ground were uncountable.

The demon general merely smiled, and the next words that left his mouth were the most predictable things that Jacob had heard in the entire day.

"They are merely collateral damage; they do not affect the plan at all." Morbius said, then smiled again. "Anyways, enough of this rigmarole, impress me, kid."

Morbius roared, his sickles groaned loudly as he bared his fangs, raising his weapons high up in the air. For a moment, these sickles seemed as though they were dripping in blood, dark crimson pouring onto the ground from the tip of the blades.

That was a quirk which was particular to these Sickles of Pyrus. Whenever the wielder of said weapon seemed to be in an uncontrollable rage, the blades of the weapon would drip continuously in the blood of every enemy the weapons have ever cut down.

Morbius charged towards Jacob like a hungry Lion who had just seen its prey...
