The two bloodlusted Lizardmen refused to stop.

Siar and Cull continued striking at Zillagod’s enormous legs, their divine axes crashing against its scales again and again as their strength seemed to grow with every passing second. Their attacks were powerful enough to shake the surrounding air, yet the creature’s scales remained almost completely intact, with their combined assault doing little more than leaving shallow scratches across its monstrous body.

Then their eyes shrank.

The realization finally reached them. Even after giving everything they had, they were barely scratching it.

Zillagod suddenly swung its enormous tail.

The appendage swept across the battlefield like a moving wall, forcing Siar and Cull to leap away while Erid attempted to escape its path from above.

This time, however, Erid was not fast enough, and the massive tail struck him directly, sending his body flying through the air before he crashed violently into the beach.

"AHHHH! Lord Erid!"

Adin’s expression twisted with anger as he witnessed the impact. The root-like appendages surrounding Moleius’s staff tightened around it as he raised the weapon, closed his eyes, and poured everything he had into a single attack.

"YOU DAMNNNNN!"

The staff erupted with energy.

A massive blast shot toward Zillagod and struck its body, creating a huge cloud of smoke that briefly covered the creature. Adin opened his eyes with hope, but when the smoke dispersed, there was nothing there.

The attack had done absolutely nothing.

Adin’s expression fell. Emotions alone could not make someone powerful enough to challenge a monster of this scale.

Erid slowly pushed himself up from the shore, blood dripping from his body as he retrieved Auravene. His hands trembled around the spear, yet he forced himself back into the air and looked toward the countless soldiers still standing behind him.

"Everyone who doesn’t possess a powerful weapon or ability, stay where you are!"

His voice echoed across the battlefield.

"It’s suicide to fight this thing with ordinary weapons. We’ll try to buy as much time as possible, so stay back and survive!"

The soldiers gritted their teeth.

Many lowered their weapons despite every instinct telling them to continue fighting. They wanted to charge forward and protect their leaders, but after witnessing their strongest warriors fail to even damage Zillagod, they knew that rushing toward it would accomplish nothing except adding more bodies to the battlefield.

Erid raised Auravene once again.

He tried to move his arm but nothing happened.

His muscles refused to obey him, exhausted from everything he had already unleashed. The spear trembled in his weakened grip as he stared at Zillagod, and for the first time, even the elven leader looked completely helpless.

Retian witnessed the scene from below.

He had felt helpless before, but never like this.

Even when he had encountered the terrifying ant-like creature in the past, there had always been the possibility of overcoming it. This was different. Zillagod was so overwhelmingly powerful that every attack they launched seemed meaningless.

The humans who had once carried themselves with confidence were now beginning to realize the same thing.

Their confidence had been shattered.

All except one....

Trias stood silently among them.

She held the mysterious orb tightly in one hand and slowly closed her eyes. While the others stared at Zillagod in fear, she remained completely still, as though she were gathering something deep within herself.

Then she began walking toward the shore.

Gajia stared at her in confusion as Trias continued forward until her feet slowly lifted from the ground. Her body began floating above the shoreline, her hair and clothing moving gently in the air as an unfamiliar power radiated from the orb.

"Trias...?" Gajia muttered.

Trias raised one arm vertically, the orb glowing intensely in her other hand. For several seconds, nothing happened, but then the temperature across the battlefield suddenly dropped.

Behind her, the air began freezing.

Thousands of icicles started forming one after another, growing larger and sharper until an enormous formation of crystalline weapons stretched across the sky behind her. Trias opened her eyes and extended her arm toward Zillagod.

With a single motion, she released them.

In the next instant, thousands of icicles pierced into Zillagod’s mountainous body, striking from multiple directions with enough force to shake the creature’s enormous frame. The monster actually staggered backward, its massive feet digging into the earth as the sudden attack finally forced it to react.

For the first time since the battle began, Zillagod had been forced to move.

"Trias..." Gajia whispered, staring at her in disbelief. "I never knew she was this powerful."

"That human..." an elf muttered, unable to take his eyes away from her. "Who is she?"

Zillagod roared.

The creature’s eyes burned with fury as it finally recognized Trias as a threat. It raised its enormous head and began gathering energy inside its mouth once again, but this time the concentration was far greater than before.

The air began to tremble. The energy condensed within its jaws grew until the light alone illuminated the battlefield. What it was preparing was so enormous that even from a distance, the soldiers could feel the pressure crushing down upon them.

Then Zillagod finished charging.

It unleashed the attack. A colossal beam erupted from its mouth, so massive that it resembled a moving mountain, tearing across the battlefield toward Trias and obliterating everything caught along its path.

Trias did not move. Instead, she raised her free hand toward the sky.

The clouds above her began to glow.

At first, the light was faint, almost indistinguishable against the heavens, but it rapidly intensified until the entire sky above the battlefield was illuminated by a deep crimson radiance. The clouds twisted violently as an enormous sphere of fire began forming high above Trias, growing larger with every passing second.

The soldiers stared upward.

The sphere continued expanding.

It became larger than a building, then larger than a fortress, until its enormous surface burned like a second sun above the battlefield. Crimson flames spiraled around its exterior as Trias remained suspended beneath it, calmly directing the colossal mass of fire toward the monster.
