Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World

Chapter 961: The War Between Change And Order

Chapter 961: Chapter 961: The War Between Change And Order

The Mortalverse of the main universe.

Things...have changed.

The inhabitants of the main universe would never know the meaning of rest from now on.

*BOOM!*

At the edge of a random galaxy, a star violently explodes, its radiation consuming all the planets in its vicinity.

The star, collapsing heavily under its fading mass and gravity, was suddenly yanked out of its own orbit.

All the gas and radiation that had been expelled by the explosion were suddenly dragged back by a terrifying force.

The scene was both splendid and terrifying, yet awe-inspiring. A star in the middle of going super over suddenly stopped as though time had been paused and all the expelled energy began to retract.

But this was not a result of time being paused and reversed, the reason for this was more raw, more brutal, more carnal.

"Perish under the weight of my power!" A loud telepathic voice slammed fiercely into the void from the center of the collapsing star.

Instantly, a figure was blasted out of the star, surrounded by fire and light as it sped away.

Meanwhile, the star now collapsed fully into a single point where it was consumed by a giant slime.

Yes, a fully operational star had just been swallowed by a slime that was currently vibrating with immense power.

"Hahahahahahaaaa!" The slime’s telepathic laughter curved reality around it. Its body, still amorphous and vaguely spherical, twisted the radiation into a disk of light around its dark body.

Strangely, this slime resembled a black hole remarkably. Its main body was dark, mostly black and any other color that could have been noticed had now been drowned out by the terrifying power it was emitting.

And then, the disk of light around it was strangely similar to the Event Horizon that would usually surround a powerful black hole.

It was not a black hole, but it looked and was starting to exhibit characteristics of a black hole.

The manifestation of being designed by Change expressing its peak capabilities.

The slime that had consumed a star had now become a black hole.

The gravitational power coming from this black hole’s slime was supreme and tyrannical.

"Come back here, insect!" The telepathic voice on the slime echoed out again.

The only other person it could be talking to was the figure that had been blasted away.

However, that figure never got far enough as it was violently pulled back by the terrifying gravitational power.

Upon a closer look, that figure was an Ant. A really big ant.

The ant was colored bright red and was missing four of its six legs and one of its antennas.

One of its eyes was damaged, looking like someone had jammed a jagged spear into it which was absurd seeing that this Ant was at least the size of a skyscraper.

What kind of weapon could be so big and sharp?

It was a shame that most would never know.

The ant, feeling himself being dragged backwards to his enemy, did not shout in fear.

Instead, his mental state shifted as he reviewed the promises of his god. Salvation awaited him and his soul would be saved, he believed so.

Coming to that understanding, the bright red ant let himself get dragged back to the black hole slime. At the same time, his body suddenly lit up with red lightning.

Even if he was going to die, he was not going to die in vain. He would make sure to take down a powerful enemy with him.

"For Order!" Was the last thing the ant could declare as it clashed with those disks of light around the black hole slime?

////

The slimes had escaped from Myriad Heaven with their Mad God, Change.

The consequences of such were noticeable almost immediately. Change in the most literal sense began to permeate through the mortalverse.

Little civilizations at the forgotten corners of the universe began to rise, mighty interstellar kingdoms started to decline.

Creatures who had no hope of ever becoming powerful started to attack for strength. Villains were starting to win, fates began to switch.

Heroes were being born in the millions and the underdogs everyone thought would never rise began to actually make an impact.

Even time and space were being affected. The future which was never ever truly certain suddenly became way more complex. Calculating for variables has never been harder.

Change, in the rawest sense, may not always be a good thing, as some would come to find out the hard way.

But it wasn’t like they had a choice or chose this era. None of those being affected right now had a say in whether they wanted Change to be released from his heavenly prison.

This fate was imposed on them by an individual who couldn’t care less about the lives and deaths of the creatures of the universe.

All this was because of the All-King, and all the inhabitants of the universe had to suffer for it.

Even now, even though some may know who caused this, there was nothing that could be done.

Change was spreading.

And it was spreading violently.

Fortunately or unfortunately, as most things are in this wild, cursed, and forsaken hellhole of a universe, the Ant God stepped in.

If not for the Ant God of Order coming down with full force to put a hold on the slimes, the universe would have spiraled into a perverted version of chaos.

The war between Change and Order was now in full swing. Slimes and ants were clashing in different dimensions and corners of the void, not even knowing the main reason why they were fighting this war.

And as it was meant to be, the All-King got his intended effect. The ticking time, the countdown to the day that the Highest Will would wipe everything out, the eventual End Day, was delayed.

It was delayed only for a short amount of time, but it was delayed nonetheless. No one, not even the gods, interfered in the battle between Change, Order, the slimes, and the ants.

This war bought time for everyone while it brought suffering for the mortals. The war went beyond just physical clashes, it was conceptual, its stage being the political landscape and corporate sectors of intelligent civilizations.

But how long could this delay truly last? How many could become gods before that day? How many would even have the required power needed to survive that event?

Would this delay even change anything?
