{Monster Processing Factory} Extracts usable resources from monster corpses to be used in manufacturing.

Kalli read the description and frowned. That was a bit gruesome sounding, but it did solve some of the problems that they were having. If they could process monsters into materials, they would at least have resources to make things.

Hopefully, the System would process them all into clean raw materials for them.

The repair facility for the tinkers let them make repairs without raw materials, and it made the gear as good as new using their skill. So, hopefully, the Monster Processing Factory would be similarly kind to them, and make life easy for heroes who wanted to get resources and food out of their kills.

Kalli decided to put it near her Hall of Heroes, and stepped outside, only to realize that the "Factory" was small enough that it could be an add-on to her building. Nothing more than a side room with its own counter to process materials.

Place the monster on the counter, select to process it, and the System did everything.

So, she made it an addition to the hall of heroes, to the right when you entered, but with its own external door, much larger than the sliding doors of the hall. Some corpses wouldn’t fit through the main door, and not everyone would be able to store them.

But now, they could properly clear the battlefield.

There were far too many monster corpses lying around right now, as they had collected the boars, and not all of them had been processed into meat yet. They didn’t have the manpower to do it.

The battle wasn’t quite over yet, the heroes were still fighting drakes.

However, there were thousands of Drake corpses within the city, fallen all around the buildings and the air defence batteries. All that she had to do was walk a few dozen metres to go grab one and drag it inside.

A feat that was harder than it looked.

The drakes weren’t as large as an actual dragon, but they still weighed hundreds of kilos.

As a test, she put the drake’s head on the platform, with the rest on the floor, and watched the screen light up.

{Level 11 Fire Drake} Disassemble?

Kalli pressed the confirmation button, and the drake disappeared.

"Where did it go?"

She checked her backpack, which was obviously not large enough to hold a drake in any form, but it wasn’t there. Then, she checked the storage realm, and found that there were piles of new stuff on one of the shelves.

Paper wrapped bundles of drake meat, drake bones in a bin, piles of cleaned scales, and an entire drake skull that had been mounted like a trophy kill.

The System even let her scan the bundles.

{Drake Meat} 5kg. Spicy meat that is notoriously difficult to cook well. Suitable for carnivorous animal feed.

{Drake Bones} used in crafting. Strong affinity for the Fire Element.

{Drake Scales} increase fire resistance when used in clothing creation.

Kalli suspected that there was likely some turn in value to them as well, but in her storage realm they were simply bulk materials.

The new arrivals apparently had life skill members among them, and they would be able to set up shops soon, as Kalli’s new functions for buildings let her furnish commercial spaces. She didn’t know if that was as good as the shops, so they might not get the advanced tools that the Tinkers got.

But those were also granted before the System advanced the level of their society, so it was possible that they would get similar levels of equipment, at the cost of Kalli’s points.

That was fine, she was going to have to massively expand the city anyhow, just to keep from overfilling her reserve again. That meant more new buildings, another greenhouse, and anything else that she could think of to add to the city that might not be on the map laid out by the Professor.

"Coordinator? What’s this place?" A runner asked.

"It’s a monster processing location. If you bring it corpses, it will break them down into raw materials. If you see someone who isn’t busy, have them bring a drake or boar corpse in here and try it."

She wanted to see what it did when someone else brought the corpse.

The runner nodded, and hurried out with the ammunition he had come for. Then, Kalli waited for someone to come with the corpse.

It took a few runners, but soon a new level 1 hero came in dragging a drake corpse by the tail.

"Just put part of it up on the platform, and you should be able to process it."

{No suitable skills detected} Exchange for points?

The new hero smiled as he pressed confirm.

{Partially intact drake corpse. Inedible.} 3 Points

"It really gave me points for the drake. That is remarkable. But what did it do with the corpse?"

Kalli shrugged. "I don’t know, that’s part of why I had you test it."

Then, she felt a change in her Storage Realm.

The drake components had stacked themselves with the other ones she had, making a larger pile.

{No Administrator linked storage device found. Storage Realm used.}

Then, she checked the logs to see if the points had come from her as well. If that was the case, this could be problematic. Not right now, she had plenty of points to go around. But if they started to pile corpses for the wealth of points, it could bankrupt her.

No, the last deduction of points that the System showed was for the ammunition.

"Ah, I found it. The corpse is in storage. The disassembled parts are available for crafting."

"Got it, I will tell everyone else to start bringing them in to clean up the city."
