After Kalon’s arrival, Sifa’s cheeks immediately started to drip slightly with water.
Water that he knew was sweet.
This was the problem with Cryons. It was impossible to hide what they were feeling.
Kalon knew that she was feeling nervous, as her mind brought her back to memories of what had happened before.
Such an intimate memory made her extremely flustered. She found herself wondering what others would think if they knew that she had allowed her summon to do such embarrassing things to her.
"Yeah. Are you surprised that I’m here?" Kalon responded.

Sifa tied her gown tighter around her body, as it was clear she was undressed underneath.
Afterwards, she headed to the counter, where a few cups sat filled with clear liquid.
"Here, I made you some Frozenlily Tea."
Kalon accepted the cup and downed its contents.
He had no idea what it was, but it was delicious. Much more delicious than any tea he had tasted on Earth.
Seeing that he enjoyed it, Sifa smiled proudly and poured another cup for him, as well as one for herself.
Afterwards, the pair sat down and spoke about the tournament.

Kalon learned a lot about the annual summoners tournament.
It turned out that it wasn’t actually a tournament, but instead some sort of last-man-standing competition.
It took place across the entirety of the capital city of Cryos, whilst all the residents sat inside their homes watching through their windows and a magical broadcasting system set up by the royal academies.
Any summoner could enter their summon, as long as they had once attended an academy.
The average entry count was over one hundred, which meant that Kalon had plenty of fights on his hands. Not only that, but it turned out that summons as strong as A-rank had entered before.
She also told him about some of the summoners who were likely to enter.
Headmaster Runa, the one in charge of the summoning academy itself.
Qyriun, the eldest son of Governor Qyra, the ruler of Cryos.
He recognised both names from the seduction target list given to him by the system.
When Sifa explained all of this to Kalon, she looked at him strangely.
"You don’t seem worried?" she asked before sipping her tea again.
Kalon sipped the last of his third cup as well, then leaned back in his seat.
She was right. He wasn’t worried.
Not at all.
From what she had explained, Cryon summons could only possess the ice affinity.
An affinity that was extremely weak to fire.
All he would have to do was activate Ninefold Sunbreaker to win.
In fact, he found himself quite interested in the tournament.
Since he was now in the Silver ranks, Low Silver to be exact, in order to progress to Mid Silver and High Silver, he needed combat experience.
If he was lucky, he could progress to Gold before the Duo Tournament on Earth.
That would surely put him above anyone else entering.

One that made his eyes widen.

He couldn’t think of a way to complete this quest.
He of course knew what he needed to do, but he saw no opportunity to do it.
He and Sifa were just sitting there talking about the tournament. At the moment, there was no romantic tension between them.
Then suddenly, the system spoke.

Sifa’s face filled with surprise and disbelief.
"A gift?"
"Yes, a gift. It’s important that you’re here tomorrow, okay?"

"O-okay."
And with that, Kalon returned to Earth, leaving Sifa alone in her room.
The woman stared blankly out of the window, already missing the warmth that being around Kalon’s body provided her.
But now her mind was more focused on what he had said.
"A gift... Nobody’s brought me a gift before."
"..."
"I wonder what it could be?"
...
Meanwhile, Kalon was back on Earth, regretting that he had been unable to complete his quest and earn his first title.
That didn’t matter, though, as he was confident it would be completed tomorrow.
As for the time being, he travelled back to Venduros to check on Josinia.
Or at least tried to...
