Seducing the Guideverse With My System — Raising an Anomaly [BL]
Chapter 322: _Happy Pride!A week after the whole world went through a sequel to The Walking Dead... a sense of normalcy had fallen. With the civilians anyway.
Every Hunter Federation still scratched their heads, wondering what was behind the apocalypse to begin with. Josiah had managed to contact the Pantheon and found out they weren’t even responsible for ending it.
So then who?
Well, that was their boring mystery to uncover.
It was the beginning of the summer break!
And we all know what that means.

"Our very first pride parade as a family!" Ambrose wrapped his arms around Viktor and Devon’s shoulders, pressing kisses on both their cheeks. "Come on, aren’t y’all excited?"
The ice Prince gave Ambrose a scrutinising look. "Yes, but I’m beginning to wonder if there’s such a thing as too much excitement, little bird."
"Ah, nonsense!"
Aurelia City was hosting what was already being described as its biggest Pride parade of the decade today.
People from different parts of the country were trooping in to attend.
The city wasn’t exactly rich with queer history, but two of its most powerful S-Ranks being queer men publicly sharing a boyfriend was more than enough publicity.
Ambrose wore a headless ashen top with a bright rainbow and the words ’Loud and proud’ pasted on the chest. He also wore grey sweatpants.
As for Viktor and Devon—the former wore a snowy white coat despite the dreadful summer heat, a pair of form-fitting black jeans and a rainbow pin attached to his pocket.
While Devon rocked a white T-shirt that highlighted his broad chest and chiselled biceps, alongside blue denim jean pants and a rainbow bandana attached to his pockets.
Ambrose took two selfies with both of them—okay, maybe more. He lost count at three and just kept going until Devon’s smile visibly faltered.
"We could take more photos when we get there," the fire-type mumbled. "Speaking of which, where are Gabriel, Valentine and Loki, by the way? I thought—"
Ever the master of dramatic entrances, a glowing white portal opened in the middle of the living room just then. The space god strolled out first, followed by Valentine.
"Sorry we’re late." Gabriel sighed, cutting Valentine a judgemental look. "This one was going to attend the march without a flyer or at least a rainbow pin."
Valentine took off his sunglasses, letting everyone see his eye roll. "I fail to see the point of any of that. I mean, I can swear I like men. And... all sorts of people."
"It’s symbolic, you fossil."
"I could always pull Ambrose in for a kiss for symbolism." Valentine shrugged with a sly grin. "Or honestly, any of you who’s up for it."
Viktor and Devon’s faces reddened while Ambrose cleared his throat through the awkwardness.
"Daddy, Loki is here!"
All heads turned to the stairs in time to witness Orion running down. Holding one of his hands was none other than the lord of chaos, who was easily the most colourful person in the room.
Loki glanced up from Orion, their borrowed face stretching into an innocent smile.
"I flew over earlier." They shrugged as though arriving unannounced through someone’s bedroom window was perfectly normal. "Figured the little menace could use company while you all were still arguing over shirts."
The lord of chaos ruffled the boy’s hair. "He spent fifteen minutes deciding whether my hair should be green, blue or pink." They pointed dramatically at their pink hair. "This was apparently the winning look."
Orion puffed out his chest proudly. "Pink looked happier."
Gabriel folded his arms, failing to hide his smile. "You let a six-year-old design your appearance?"
"I’ve made worse decisions."
Valentine looked Loki up and down once before nodding thoughtfully. "I don’t hate it."
"Ouuu, you hear that folks?" Loki gasped theatrically. "Mark today’s date. Valentine complimented me."
"It wasn’t a compliment."
"It absolutely was."
A laugh escaped Ambrose before he could stop it.
"You know what?" He pulled out his phone again. "One more group picture."
Devon groaned immediately. "We already took twenty-three."
"And we’re about to take twenty-four."
"Twenty-four?"
"Aura helped me count."
Within moments everyone gathered together with varying degrees of enthusiasm.
Viktor stood beside Devon with Orion perched comfortably on his shoulders. Gabriel and Valentine occupied one side while Loki dramatically leaned halfway across the group as though determined to be in the centre of every photograph regardless of physics.
"Smile!"
CLICK.
"One more!"
CLICK.
"No, no, Gabriel blinked."
"I did not."
Ambrose took another one regardless.
Behind the screen of his phone, he couldn’t stop smiling.
The photos looked... Happy.
Nobody here knew about the Archons.
Nobody besides him knew that somewhere beyond everything they understood, seven beings capable of tearing apart entire universes were inevitably making their way toward this timeline.
For just another day, he wanted to keep it that way.
He wanted Devon complaining about photographs. Viktor pretending he didn’t secretly enjoy them. Gabriel bickering with Loki. Valentine looking permanently inconvenienced by happiness itself.
All of that.
And he wanted Orion to spend one ordinary afternoon thinking about rainbow flags instead of monsters.
"There." Ambrose lowered the phone with a satisfied grin.
Devon stretched his shoulders before checking the time on his own device.
"If we’re done creating a family album every five minutes," he began, "the parade starts soon." He crouched beside Orion. "One important rule today."
The little boy tilted his head.
"There’ll be thousands of people," Devon explained. "Lots of music. Lots of excitement. Which means nobody wanders off."
Gabriel nodded immediately. "We’ll stick together."
Even Loki gave an unusually serious nod.
"So if you need anything," Devon continued, tapping Orion gently on the
nose, "you tell one of us first."
"I know, papa."
"And if you see something interesting?"
"I’ll tell one of you."
"And if someone offers you sweets?"
"I’ll ask daddy first."
"Perfect."
Ambrose checked the time. "We should get moving."

The streets of Aurelia had transformed into a sea of colour.
Music rolled between the skyscrapers in rhythmic waves while laughter floated through the warm summer air. Rainbow banners stretched overhead, glitter drifted lazily through sunlight, and every few metres someone was dancing with complete disregard for rhythm.
They hadn’t even made it to the starting line before a familiar voice called out.
"Ambrose!"
Alisha jogged over with Trina beside her, both women already decked out in matching rainbow jackets.
"Oh, my God!" Trina clasped both hands together the second she spotted Orion riding comfortably atop Ambrose’s shoulders. "Would you look at him?"
"He’s adorable." Alisha laughed. "I swear he gets cuter every time I see him."
Orion buried half his face in Ambrose’s hair. "Thank you."
"Aww."
Before Ambrose could save his son’s rapidly dying dignity, whistles erupted from the front of the avenue.
The parade had begun.
Thousands of people surged forward together.
Flags rose as the music thundered. Cheers erupted from every direction until the city itself seemed to vibrate beneath their feet.
Ambrose had attended Pride before. A handful of times, as Benji Foster.
Those parades had been joyful, sure.
But this... This felt different.
Walking beside people he’d chosen as family, with Orion laughing on his shoulders while Devon, Viktor, Gabriel, Valentine and even Loki blended into the colourful river of humanity around him...
It wasn’t just celebration.
It felt like hope.
Like the universe, despite everything it had thrown at them, had paused long enough to let them remember exactly what they were fighting to protect.
And for the first time in what felt like forever... Ambrose allowed himself to simply exist.
