Seducing the Guideverse With My System — Raising an Anomaly [BL]
Chapter 354: _Daddy’s FightingAmbrose almost couldn’t believe his senses when he came across Devon and Alisha. They were perfectly hidden behind some shrubs—but the link and spatial awareness made it easy to track them out.
There was just one problem, though.
ROARRRRR!
A beast lunged from the very top of the tree Devon and Alisha rested on, landing nimbly right when the fire type heard Ambrose’s warning and got Alisha to step away.
"The fuck?" Alisha cursed, inching back from the beast. "H-How didn’t I notice this thing?"
The beast stood over ten feet tall on all fours, covered in lush snow-white fur that blew into the cold wind. It was a fox-type beast with six tails, each one trailing gracefully behind it.
[That’s an S-Rank beast right there.]
’A powerful one too.’ Ambrose crouched behind the bushes he was hiding in. He got a good angle of the terror on Devon’s face from here. ’Devon looks injured. They can’t face that thing alone.’
He’d barely finished that thought when Alisha pushed Devon behind her.
"Cover your ears!" She warned, hands flying up to her face.
A huge sonic scream exploded out of her throat, sending snow flying around the beast. Even the huge tree they’d been resting on cracked.
The beast’s tails lifted skyward, its icy blue eyes blazing with a vicious light.
’You two get out of there.’ Ambrose repeated in Devon’s mind. ’Get Alisha to run with you as far away from here as possible.’
Devon’s eyes scanned the perimeter hopelessly for him. ’Where are you? Are you sure you’ll be fine?’
’Devon, you’re hurt.’ Ambrose’s tone became scolding. ’Get out of here now. I’ll come find you two once I’m done.’
Grave Keeper already materialised into his hands.
At that same moment, the six tails of the fox beast ignited at once with icy blue energy. Their tips pointed at Alisha and Devon, making the latter’s face pale.
"ALISHA!" His scream was swallowed by the force of her sonic attack. "Fuck!"
Just when the beast was about to release what should’ve been a devastating attack on them... something shifted in the air around it.
Gravity magnified one hundred times over, crushing the snow-covered ground around the beast. Its energy attack sizzled, a panicked whimper escaping its mouth.
Alisha finally ceased her sonic attack, catching her breath while gawking at the beast with utter confusion.
Ambrose’s eyes flared with a dark blue light. A flick of one wrist teleported Alisha and Devon until they were over a hundred meters away from the beast.
That could easily be played off as another dungeon anomaly later.
"Finally." Ambrose rose from where he hid, Grave Keeper twirling in his right hand. His gaze pinned on the beast, which struggled under the force of his gravity manipulation.
He was just about to move and land a critical blow when the beast’s tails lit up again.
BOOM!
Icy blue energy surged out of its body in an omnidirectional wave, obliterating the shrubs, melting nearby snow, and even forcing Ambrose to shield his eyes.
Space manipulation placed a spatial lock around him, protecting him from the brunt force of the explosion.
’Now that’s an impressive attack force.’ His lips quivered with a smirk, eyes trailing back to the spot the beast—
—Wait, where did it go?
ROARRRRR!
Chills shot down his spine, the smell of raw meat surrounding him. He didn’t even need to look back to know the beast was right there, about to land a hit.
[WARNING—]
’I’ve got this, Aura.’
He teleported before the beast’s claws could touch him. In a split second, he reappeared hundreds of meters above, huge white feathered wings sprouting out of his back.
The wails of his phantoms resounded around him as he pinned his attention on the beast.
’Wasn’t expecting a little exercise while here.’ He caught himself grinning.
[Something’s wrong. It was able to detect you way too quickly.]
’So it’s got sharp senses.’ He shot down, Grave Keeper raised above his head. ’Doesn’t matter when it’s gonna be minced meat in—’
He’d just gotten ten feet away from meeting the fox, when it raised its head.
Those icy orbs locked on him, glinting with an expectant light that took Ambrose completely off guard. It opened its mouth, revealing the white blades of death it called fangs.
’Shit...’

Hale-Ferguson Residence
Valentine stood in the kitchen with Gabriel, sleeves rolled halfway up as the two quietly prepared lunch. The smell of simmering stew drifted through the house, mixing with the sound of the cooking show Orion had been glued to ever since Ambrose left.
On the couch, Loki lounged comfortably with one leg thrown over the other, occasionally glancing between the television and the six-year-old beside them.
"Can I have ice cream now?" Orion asked hopefully.
Loki raised an eyebrow. "Isn’t it a little early for that?"
"But it’s afternoon." Orion leaned closer with the most pitiful expression he could muster. "Pleeease?"
"No."
"Pretty pleeeeeease?"
Loki sighed dramatically, rubbing their forehead. "You’re employing emotional warfare against me."
"I don’t know what that means."
"I know." They stood anyway, waving a hand toward the kitchen. "Don’t tell your dads I lost this battle."
Orion beamed before hurrying to the freezer.
Gabriel looked over his shoulder just in time to see the little boy pulling the ice cream container out.
"Seriously?" He called. "Lunch is almost ready!"
Loki shrugged shamelessly. "It was either this or listening to him beg for another ten minutes."
"You’re unbelievable."
"Meh. He’ll be alright."
Orion giggled, hugging the tub against his chest.
He was just about to run back to the living room... when the container slipped from his hands, hitting the floor with a dull thud.
The smile vanished from his face.
Gabriel frowned immediately. "Orion?"
The boy didn’t answer.
His wide golden eyes stared straight ahead as though he were looking through the walls themselves.
"Buddy?" Loki was already kneeling beside him.
"I..." Orion whispered with a trembling voice. "I can see Daddy."
The house fell silent.
Gabriel slowly stepped away from the stoves. "What do you mean you can see him?"
Orion swallowed hard, blinking rapidly.
"Daddy’s fighting."
Another pause.
Then his small face paled even further.
"And..." His breathing quickened. "I can see Uncle Viktor too." He looked up at the three adults, fear filling his eyes. "...He’s with bad people."
