SS Awakening: My Monster Merging System!

Chapter 263: Zich Vs a Level 200 Angel

Meanwhile, within the private world controlled by Razeil, the four undead skeleton soldiers had once again stepped into the ice paths.

This time, Zich maintained the rhythm he had only just learned, allowing the four skeleton soldiers to continue carrying out the most basic command of moving forward, while he focused his attention on the changes that could occur within the ice paths at any moment.

Whenever an ice puppet awakened, he would only interfere at the most critical moment, allowing the corresponding skeleton soldier to avoid the attack. Once the danger had passed, he would withdraw that portion of his attention and return to observing the other three ice paths.

The second time he successfully completed the round trip, he used six minutes and forty three seconds.

In the next round of training immediately afterward, one of the skeleton soldiers was struck in the ribs by an ice wolf. However, it still firmly protected the blue ice crystal in its hands. In the end, all four skeleton soldiers completed the task, and the time was shortened to six minutes and eleven seconds.

By the time they walked out of the ice paths successfully for the third consecutive time, the final result had already reached five minutes and fifty eight seconds.

With a swift flicker of Razeil’s Wrist.

All the ice puppets within the ice paths instantly returned to their original positions, but the blue ice crystals beneath the four black ice pillars didn’t fly back into the skeleton soldiers’ hands.

"That’s Enough," she said.

Zich opened his eyes and slowly exhaled the breath that had been pressing against his chest. The four overlapping sensory images within his consciousness rapidly disappeared, leaving behind only a heavy, swollen pain that stretched from between his brows all the way to the back of his head.

"Does this count as passing?"

"This only proves that, in your current mental state, continuing to repeat this training would cost more than you would gain."

Razeil’s gaze swept across the four skeleton soldiers.

Although none of them had suffered any truly serious injuries, the bones on their arms and chests were already covered in tiny cracks, clearly left behind from repeatedly blocking attacks they had failed to avoid in time during the previous training.

"You’ve only mastered the most basic method of distributing your attention. If this level could also be called passing, it would be an insult to everyone who is truly capable of controlling an army of summons."

"..."

Raziell was not perticular kind with the words, Zich realized.

"It’s still progress, isn’t it?" Zich smiled scratching the back of his head.

"Indeed, only a little."

He was just about to speak when a bone chilling cold suddenly came from between his brows.

His pupils abruptly contracted.

At some point, a tiny, nearly transparent ice needle had already appeared floating in front of him, its sharpest point less than a finger’s width from the center of his brows.

Zich had not seen when Razeil had condensed this ice needle.

More importantly, while his consciousness had been divided among the four skeleton soldiers at the same time, he had not even noticed the ice needle approaching him at all.

Razeil flicked her finger, and the ice needle immediately dissolved into pale blue points of light.

"During your final training attempt just now, I had twenty seven chances to kill you."

Zich looked at her. "I thought you were watching those four skeleton soldiers the entire time."

"I was."

"And you could still count that clearly?"

"It wasn’t difficult,"

Razeil answered so naturally that Zich could not find any reason to doubt her.

She stepped into the silver circle and stopped several meters away from Zich.

"Your control has indeed improved, but whenever changes occur in two or more ice paths at the same time, most of your consciousness leaves your own body. On a real battlefield, enemies won’t keep standing in front of your summons and wait for them to finish all their attacks."

"They’ll come straight to kill me."

"It seems you haven’t become so dull that you can’t understand something like this."

There she goes again...

Razeil raised her right hand and extended one finger toward Zich.

"A summoned army can be destroyed, and it can also be rebuilt. After ordinary summons die, they can be replaced by other summons. Even powerful summons that have already formed contracts have a chance to recover again as long as the summoner remains alive."

Her fingertip stopped in front of the center of Zich’s brows.

"But once the summoner dies, everything ends."

Zich glanced at her extended finger, then looked at the four skeleton soldiers scattered around him, he was beginning to have bad feeling about this.

"I assume you’re not saying all this just to scare me?"

"Of course not."

The faint oppressive feeling around Razeil began to rapidly weaken. Her aura, which had already been completely restrained, dropped once again until the energy fluctuations coming from within her body were suppressed to almost the same level as Zich’s.

"The next training is very simple. For one minute, I’ll suppress all my physical attributes to Level 20. I won’t use my wings, I won’t use any offensive skills, and I won’t use my left hand.

She raised her fingers higher as she added. "As long as this finger touches your forehead, you lose."

"What can I use?" Zich asked.

"Those four skeleton soldiers, as well as every ability that belongs to you. You cannot leave the silver circle beneath your feet, and you cannot summon any other summons."

Some time later, the two skeleton soldiers stood directly in front of him, while the other two guarded the left and right sides respectively, quickly forming a simple but complete wall of bone that blocked most of the directions from which Razeil could approach him.

Razeil watched quietly as he completed the arrangement.

"Ready?" Zich asked.

"No."

Tap.

A cold fingertip touched the center of Zich’s forehead, causing his expression to instantly freeze.

At some point, Razeil had already crossed the distance between them and was standing directly in front of him, while the four skeleton soldiers had not even had time to raise the bone weapons in their hands.

’This speed.’ Zich was speeches.
