SS Awakening: My Monster Merging System!
Chapter 264: Zich Vs a Level 200 Angel [2]"You just said you weren’t ready, so why did you..." A frown appeared on Zich’s face. Why did he feel cheated just now?
"I was answering you." Razeil withdrew her right hand. "An enemy who has already decided to kill you won’t ask whether you’ve finished arranging your summons before making a move."
Zich raised a hand and rubbed the spot she had just touched.
"Again."
This time, before his words had even completely fallen, the four skeleton soldiers moved at the same time.
Two bone blades slashed toward Razeil from opposite directions, forcing her to turn sideways and enter the gap between the two weapons.
The third skeleton soldier thrust its weapon in advance toward the only remaining path, while the final skeleton soldier stayed in front of Zich, prepared to stop her after she broke through.
Razeil only took one step forward. Her right hand lightly brushed against the side of the first bone blade. The weapon that had originally been slashing toward her immediately changed direction and collided heavily with the other bone blade, disrupting the movements of both skeleton soldiers at the same time.
Immediately afterward, she lowered her body slightly and passed beneath the third bone weapon. Before the final skeleton soldier could complete its attack, she appeared in front of Zich again.
Unfortunately for her, Zich’s body instantly disappeared.
Shadow Blink.
He appeared directly at the other end of the silver circle.
However, almost at the exact moment his feet touched the ice again, Razeil’s slender finger was already waiting in front of him.
Tap.
The cold fingertip touched his forehead for the second time.
"Six seconds."
Zich took half a step back and narrowed his eyes slightly. "You knew where I would appear."
"You looked there before you moved."
"I only looked once... how... how did you..."
"One look was enough." Razeil returned to her original position. "Summons aren’t the only ones that reveal their intentions. Your gaze, your shoulders, your breathing, and the direction in which your body’s center of gravity shifts are all telling the enemy what you’re planning to do next."
"Alright." Zich nodded.
He did not continue having all four skeleton soldiers stand in front of him; he controlled them to spread out in different directions around the silver circle, with each skeleton soldier responsible for observing one area, allowing their fields of vision to jointly cover the entire limited battlefield.
Standing at the center of the silver circle, Zich could simultaneously see both himself and Razeil from four completely different angles.
At that moment, Razeil moved again.
The two closest skeleton soldiers dashed forward to intercept her, while the other two continued maintaining their original positions, preserving their observation of the area around Zich’s body.
Razeil passed the first skeleton soldier, but the second bone blade had already changed its angle in advance, blocking the direction in which she could continue moving forward.
When she turned and changed routes, Zich moved at the same time, keeping one skeleton soldier between them at all times.
For the first time since the training began, her finger failed to immediately touch Zich.
A smile appeared on the white haired boy’s face.
The four skeleton soldiers continuously changed positions within the silver circle. Sometimes two attacked at the same time while the other two remained on the outside observing. Sometimes one deliberately exposed an opening, while another bone weapon would fall in advance toward the direction Razeil had been guided into.
Just as the time was about to approach thirty seconds, Razeil’s fingertip suddenly touched the side of a bone blade.
She did not use much force, but that force entered the weapon along the most precise angle, causing the skeleton soldier holding the bone blade to lose control and crash into another summon behind it.
’Damn.’ The sensory image on Zich’s right side fell into brief chaos.
Taking advantage of this, Razeil directly entered the blind spot that had just formed.
Zich noticed the change and quickly lowered his head, but his speed was still a fraction too slow.
Tap.
Razeil’s fingertip touched the area above his left brow bone.
"Thirty four seconds."
There was no frustration on Zich’s face this time around. Instead, his gaze fell on the two skeleton soldiers that had collided with each other as he quickly recalled the final scene.
Razeil had not used greater strength to defeat them. Instead, she had used the position of one summon to interfere with the vision transmitted back by another summon, disrupting his control over the entire battlefield.
"One last time before you rest," Razeil said.
"I can go further."
"Your mental strength is already approaching its limit. If you can’t even correctly judge your own condition, then I’ll make the decision for you."
Zich wanted to argue, but decided to wisely keep quiet because she was right.
The swollen pain in his head was becoming increasingly obvious, and the fingertips of his right hand were already trembling slightly from repeatedly dividing his consciousness.
Even if he forced himself to continue training in this condition, the effectiveness would only continue to decline.
However, one chance was already enough.
The four skeleton soldiers spread out again.
"Begin."
The moment Razeil’s voice sounded, her body was already moving forward.
The first skeleton soldier swung its bone blade toward her legs, while the second thrust its weapon toward her shoulder. Razeil passed between the two weapons, only to discover that the third skeleton soldier had already moved into position directly in front of her.
It angled its bone blade slightly to the left, deliberately guiding Razeil toward the position of the final skeleton soldier.
Razeil raised her finger and touched the wrist of the fourth skeleton soldier. The bone blade shifted to the side, but before she could continue approaching, Zich had already moved behind the first skeleton soldier.
This time, he no longer treated the four skeleton soldiers as walls that had to stop Razeil.
They only needed to delay her steps, block her vision, and buy Zich time to change positions.
Eight seconds later, Razeil broke through the first layer of obstruction, but the four skeleton soldiers quickly formed a second defensive line.
At seventeen seconds, she passed between two crossing bone blades and silently appeared behind Zich, but Zich had already seen her through the eyes of the skeleton soldier behind him and moved aside before her fingertip arrived.
At twenty nine seconds, Razeil changed direction several times in succession, drawing three skeleton soldiers toward the same side of the silver circle before suddenly turning and rushing toward the completely exposed area to Zich’s left.
Shadow Blink!
Zich’s figure disappeared and appeared directly behind the only skeleton soldier she had failed to lure away.
Razeil looked at him from across the silver circle, impressed. However, she didn’t praise him. Her expression was as cold as always.
The pressure endured by the four skeleton soldiers suddenly increased, making the white haired youth to think he had pissed the angel off.
Even though Razeil had suppressed her own attributes to Level 20, the combat experience she possessed still far surpassed Zich’s.
With only a few extremely simple movements, she repeatedly disrupted the positions of the four skeleton soldiers and forced Zich toward the edge of the silver circle.
At this point, two skeleton soldiers had already been thrown behind Razeil, one had fallen onto the ice, and the final one stood several meters to Zich’s right.
There was no longer any obstruction between the two of them.
