Robert had been taken down by a monster while he was alone, and Tina had barely managed to reach him in time to save his life. Apparently, another monster had helped Tina while remaining hidden from everyone else. Alex immediately suspected that it had been Mia, but he kept that thought to himself since there was no reason to expose her if she wanted to remain hidden.

Alex was relieved that Robert was alive, and he continued listening as Tina explained what happened afterward. Once Robert was safe, Tina had become worried about Alex and Roan.

Tina knew they had to focus on the task her team had, so she had an idea. She took her team and with them separated the two Wild Orcs lured by then, then defeated them one at a time. Alex was surprised when he heard that, because Tina defeating a Wild Orc by herself meant she had grown exceptionally powerful.

"Good job," Alex said, genuinely impressed.

Tina smiled proudly at the praise before continuing. While she had been fighting the two Wild Orcs, Ophelia had defeated the three Wild Orcs they had lured away earlier.

Miss Rae and Mrs. Ophelia had used ran and hide tactics to blind the Wild Orcs with her shots before Ophelia moved in to finish them. The strategy had worked well, and they had managed to avoid fighting all three at the same time.

Alex nodded as he listened, feeling pleased that his team members were becoming stronger so quickly. The situation around them was getting more dangerous by the minute, and having more people capable of handling powerful monsters would make a significant difference.

Tina then explained that by the time the two teams regrouped and reached the high school, Alex and Roan had finished everything. Still, they were happy because countless people had been saved, and Roan had also finally met the people he had been searching for. According to Tina, Alex should have seen his expression when he realized they were safe.

"Roan was crying while thanking them for being okay. I think he had been holding everything in until he finally found them," Tina said with a small smile.

Alex smiled faintly when he heard that. He could guess what Roan had gone through, so knowing that he had finally found the people he was searching for was good news.

Tina then mentioned something more concerning. The blue cross in the sky had not spread or released any more monsters, so the area was safe for now, but monsters were continuing to appear in other parts of the city, and their levels were gradually increasing.

"How are their levels increasing? Are they fighting other monsters?" Alex asked seriously.

"It could be that, but we’ve also received reports about small cracks appearing around the city. Stronger monsters are coming out of them, and they look similar to the cracks that appeared when the System first arrived and the blue cross in the sky, except these are much smaller. They disappear after releasing a few monsters, so we don’t know what exactly causes them. But the monsters coming from them are stronger than the previous ones," Tina explained.

Alex nodded slowly as he considered what she had said. That was an important and serious detail, because if stronger monsters were already appearing through those cracks, then the defenses around their temporary base would eventually become insufficient.

They needed to strengthen their defenses quickly, especially if the levels of the monsters continued increasing. They also had to deal with the blue cross in the sky, because although it had stopped releasing monsters for now, there was no way to know when it might start again.

Alex’s thoughts became increasingly serious as he considered the situation, but another concern quickly pushed everything else aside.

He looked toward Tina and asked, "What about Ava and Bella?"

His voice remained calm, but his emotions were anything but calm. He had been worried about his sister ever since he woke up in the Land of Origin, and even after surviving the battles, he had not been able to stop thinking about whether she was safe.

Tina smiled as though she had been waiting for him to ask.

Before she could answer, the door suddenly swung open, and a large group of people entered the room. Alex recognized all of them as members of his faction, but there were two faces among them that immediately caught his attention.

Bella, Kevin’s sister, was there.

And so was Ava, his sister.

Ava stood at the front of the group, her lips trembling slightly as she looked at him. She appeared exhausted, and the cheerful expression she usually carried was completely gone, replaced by a tired look that made Alex realize just how much she had been through.

Alex felt an inexplicable sense of relief the moment he saw her. His mind finally became calm, and despite the pain still running through his body, he suddenly felt as though all the exhaustion he had suffered was worth it simply because his sister was alive.

"How are you? Did you eat something?" Alex asked his sister.

Ava’s lips trembled as tears began falling from her eyes, and she nodded while trying to control herself. "I’m okay, and yes, I’ve eaten. Thank you for coming to save us, but please don’t do this to yourself again."

Alex simply smiled at her. He still had to find their parents and make sure they were safe, and even if they were already safe, he had to return to Hell Difficulty and continue fighting.

For now, however, he was simply glad that Ava was standing in front of him.

After they talked for a while, the others eventually left the room, leaving Ava behind with Alex. They spoke about what had happened during the System’s arrival, and Alex learned that Bella had been chosen as an Ascendant, while Ava had stayed beside her and protected her unconscious body when the monsters attacked.

Ava did not go into much detail about what had happened. Alex could tell that the memories were probably still fresh in her mind and that she did not want to talk about them, so he decided not to push her.

Instead, he asked the question that had been troubling him ever since he woke up. "Were you able to get in contact with Mom and Dad?"
