Moon watched the trainees for the first half of the class.

The Surpasser instructors running the session were good at what they did. They corrected forms with small verbal cues rather than long lectures, demonstrated techniques by executing them once at full speed, then breaking them down into their constituent movements at quarter tempo.

Moon activated Eye of Truth during the demonstrations. He studied the way they structured their strikes.

Overall, it was interesting, but not what he had come for.

Moon kept scanning.

Moon read each of them through Eye of Truth, cataloging their classes, ranking their skill sets.

The Evolvers noticed him immediately.

The tall Evolver from earlier, whose name was Jade, looked up from his stance drill with wide eyes.

"Sir Moon. Are you..."

"Just training with you. If that’s alright."

Jade nodded quickly. "Yes. Yes, of course."

Moon picked up a practice sword from the rack.

The wood was standard training grade. Weighted slightly heavier than a live blade to build muscle. He tested the balance in his hand, adjusted his grip, and moved through the opening forms the Surpasser instructor had been demonstrating earlier in the session.

His technique was clean. He had trained the sword for months and his foundation was solid.

But solid wasn’t the same as perfection.

The Surpasser instructor watched him from across the courtyard. Her eyes tracked his form for a full sequence before she stepped closer.

"Your form is great, but I see that you’re wasting energy transitioning between the initial slash and the follow-up thrust. Maybe try softening the pivot, and see where that takes you."

Moon paused.

He replayed the sequence in his mind. She was right, his pivot had been sharper than the technique required.

The Surpasser’s fluid version had used continuous momentum instead of discrete resets.

He nodded.

"Thank you."

He moved through the sequence again.

This time around, his technique was cleaner than before.

’He managed to get it right from the second try...’

The Surpasser nodded in approval with a calm face outwardly. But internally, she was full of praise for Moon.

Moon smiled.

He kept practicing alongside Jade whose own progress increased greatly by the gentle spar with Moon.

The Evolvers watched from the surrounding stations.

At first they had watched out of curiosity. A national-tier prodigy training alongside them was a rare thing. They had wanted to see what his form looked like at close range.

Then they had realized something.

He was learning.

He wasn’t practicing techniques he had already mastered. He was actively receiving corrections from the Surpasser instructor, absorbing them, applying them, and improving in real time.

His humility was something to learn from. A prodigy of his caliber, in a session run by a Surpasser, was choosing to be a student.

The realization spread through the group without anyone needing to say it out loud.

If Moon was learning, they had no excuse to slack.

Their training intensified visibly.

The Surpasser instructors noticed the change in their students.

They exchanged small, satisfied glances across the training grounds.

Moon caught the change out of the corner of his eye.

He didn’t comment on it as he simply kept practicing, kept receiving corrections, and kept improving.

’This is exactly what I hoped for.’

His decision to train in front of them hadn’t only been about his own development. He had wanted to give them something to look up to.

Every Evolver in this session was going to walk away with more motivation than they had walked in with. Their training curves were going to accelerate. Some of them would break through plateaus they had been stuck on.

Moon had watched them earlier and seen the way they looked at him. He wasn’t an idiot, he could see that he was an idol in their eyes.

’This is my gift for you, old fox.’

Tom had helped him alot in the past week, and didn’t ask for anything in return. This was Moon’s way of helping the Glassy group talents reach higher heights.

Before the session ended, Moon had found what he was looking for.

’She’s good.’

His eyes settled on a girl standing in one of the archery lanes. Her brown hair was cut into a neat bob just above her shoulders.

Her bow rested beside her, a lightweight recurve of high-quality make. She was one of the most naturally talented Evolvers in the group, and the way the Archer Surpasser gestured toward her during demonstrations made it clear that she was the instructor’s favorite among the Archer class variants.

His Eye of Truth had revealed a relatively powerful class. For an Evolver, she was amongst the most talented in the group.

[Class: Sharpshooter]

[Order: Second]

[Skills: Deadeye I, Falcon’s Focus II , Piercing Arrow II ]

His Classless skill activated a moment later.

The three skills entered his mind, relaying the details about each skill.

He felt the girl’s foundational understanding of the Sharpshooter class flow into his own perception, layering itself alongside his existing knowledge of Archery.

The class was nearing its end.

Moon excused himself with warm nods to the Evolvers around him. Jade and the others returned the farewells with happy smiles, thanking him for the session. The archer girl bowed her head slightly as he passed her lane, unaware that he had just copied her class.

Moon walked back through the estate toward his living section.

He wasn’t tired. He hadn’t expended much energy during the training. His new body handled that level of effort without breaking a sweat.

He wanted to test the new skills immediately.

♢♢♢♢

Inside the private training facility attached to his living section, where nobody could see him and nobody would interrupt, Moon walked towards one of the dummy lanes.

He picked up one of the practice bows Tom had stocked in the facility. A Second Order D-Rank bow, nothing remarkable, but does the job. He nocked a standard practice arrow and drew the string back to his anchor point.

"Time to test it out."
