The Human King cackled and struck with his blade, surpassing Li Hao’s progress. “Very well, I won’t ask what your relation to chaos dao is! Li Hao, is your current tactic nurturing a dao spirit to swallow the great dao?”
“That’s right.”
“That makes sense, it’s a good idea,” nodded the Human King. “This means that as a spirit myself, perhaps I should imitate Big Cat and swallow dao!”
Spring Autumn was much more decisive than them and quickly interjected, “Does time have something to do with devouring dao?”
“It’s hard to say, but time is ever-changing. I’d said that whoever was first in this competition would be allowed to personally come in contact with time, but it’s really no secret. Since we’re all here...”
Li Hao summoned time. The revolution of a myriad daos seemed to jump from dao to dao. The young man gradually made each dao visible, swiftly operating them to see the changes of all of the daos.
The look in Spring Autumn’s eyes shifted rapidly and she reached out a hand to touch it.
“The Exalted Spring Autumn Emperor is not first... so you should not touch it for now.” Li Hao swiftly retracted time. “I’ve already gone over the core philosophy. The dao of time may have once been devoured and reconstructed!”
Spring Autumn was regretful, but quickly asked, “So this means that we need to nurture the spirit first?”
“Probably.”
“But methods to nurture spirit... are very few. Take Chaos Sky seeking to conquer the chaos, for example. How did you produce the spirit that you have?”
“Through emotions, intention, and willpower. The Human King should have an understanding of this.”
“That’s true!” nodded the Human King. “That is a kind of aura—the aura of the heart. When my heart is invincible, my aura is invincible. A spirit grows out of the aura, which becomes the dao spirit. That nurtures the dao, which in turn fortifies me. When I am stronger, the aura is stronger. This forms a feedback cycle!”
He fully explained Li Hao’s dao spirit with a few short words. The young man continuously bobbed his head up and down. That was right!
Spring Autumn fell silent with a thoughtful expression and asked no more. This group of people only needed the slightest pointer before they fully understood everything.
“Fellow Daoist Hao Moon, your power of time can reverse the past and head to the future, is that right?” Chaos Sky suddenly said.
“You can say that.”
“We all had certain ideas in mind when it came to the dao spirit and dao rules.” Chaos Sky suddenly smiled. “We’ve just gained a clearer picture after conversing with each other. So we don’t need to pay too much attention to what the ninth ranks want to do. We’ll deal with things as they come!

“Actually... we’re very much interested in this as well,” smiled Chaos Sky. “Is the fellow daoist interested in joining hands this one time and reversing the world? Let’s take a look at the dao present a million years ago, including the origin of the world!”
The group froze, as did Li Hao pause.
An aloof and tyrannical air wrapped around Chaos Sky. “We can turn back time and return to Skyward a million years ago to set eyes on what the dao looked like then! Let us see what the major world appeared like in those days.
“I think it would be very helpful for everyone, but I also think we might encounter some trouble in the form of the ninth ranks who were around in that era! But if we work together and head back to the past in mental form, then we might be able to have some fun with real ninth ranks!”
“This is a good idea, I like it!” The Human King’s interest was piqued. “But I count as first in this competition, right?”
“......” Chaos Sky frowned slightly. This guy’s competitive spirit was really annoying!
“We’ll hand over the dao crystals, but they are meant to compensate Fellow Daoist Hao Moon’s consumption of resources. They are not for you!”
The Human King scolded.
“Why?? I made it the furthest, didn’t I? I’m already at 8,800 squares, and you guys?” He was interested in heading to the Skyward of a million years ago, but the caveat was that the rest of these guys needed to own up to their defeat!
How could they not?

“I’m the first one here!” he said. “There’s no point in going further. Everyone should be able to make it here. If we keep going... the rest of the dao rules have to do with spirit. The daos here are very tenuous, so there is no point in really probing into them...
“But this place does have to do with spatial dao.” The look in Li Hao’s eyes changed. “If we reverse time here, we should be able to return to Skyward of a million years ago! We can meet the Skyward master and exchange a word or two with him!”
Even the Human King was captivated by the idea. Fang Ping joined the young man after a furious frenzy of hacking around.
“Do you mean that we can head directly to the Skyward from one million years ago and witness that golden age for ourselves??”
“That’s right!”
The others traveled extremely quickly as well, shooting through the chessboard. Whether it was Chaos Sky or the weakest of Long Zhan, they swiftly caught up. The presences of their mental bodies were slightly thrown off balance, but they made their way to the two nonetheless.
The daos ahead would have to do with spirit, yet the dao chess lacked spirit. Hence, there wasn’t any point in traveling through the chess squares to come.
All five had made their way past 8,999 squares! That was a terrifying concept as it meant that all five possessed ninth rank or near ninth rank levels of dao comprehension. They weren't ninth rank only because they lacked spirit, and not because they lacked dao!
Li Hao was a bit surprised by this outcome, but didn’t say anything. Seeing that the others didn’t say anything, he commented. “Metal Spirit of the Five Elements can make his way here too, can’t he?”
“Him? Hah, forget it!” Chaos Sky shook his head with a snicker. “The Five Elements might barely be able to take on Spring Autumn if they combine as one. They only have two as one right now. If separate, even Long Zhan can overcome Metal Spirit. He might be just slightly stronger than you or the Human King...”
“Stronger than me? Do you mean that?” sneered Fang Ping.
Chaos Sky didn’t respond. It wasn’t that his assessment was true, but that it was hard to determine. Metal Spirit would be at least six thousand dao rules if he had combined two elements as one. He might even be a bit stronger than that, but that was all there was to him. If he was stronger than the Human King, he wouldn’t be stronger by much.
“Brother Five Elements is someone to respect if they’re combined as one, but separate... they’re each as strong as Reincarnation at most.” Spring Autumn’s assessment was even more ruthless. “He’s not worth much! There’s no need to pay attention to him. Whoever seizes the north after this is the winner. Who cares about them?”
No one of the Five Elements were in attendance. Their absence actually made the others feel that the Five Elements did not have a right to be an overlord. They were not demonstrating sufficient authority or potential!
Hence, the other two overlords outright decided their fate.

Will Skyward show it to you? You want to spy into his spirit and the core of his being... Is he supposed to offer you a drink instead of beating you up?”
“......” Li Hao coughed gently. That was true! “Skyward and I...”
“You owe favors to three Skyward exalted emperors, not the Skyward master. We’re just going to take a look. If he’s not a gracious host... we’ll team up against him!”
“This seat would also like to take a look and see what Skyward is plotting!” Long Zhan sniffed. “I want to see if the best of the chaos a million years later can jointly take down Skyward in his prime!”
