Skyward, the four regions.

Skyward major world was still a bleak, desolate sight that was incredibly still and quiet. Its dao universe was also dark and gloomy.

Some of the chaos cultivators on guard at the world suddenly raised their heads with confusion. Changes seemed to be taking place in the world, voices drifted into their ears.

“Do you hear something?”

“I think... maybe... someone’s walking past me? And whispering?”

“Announcing the Envoy of Light!” A herald boomed in the most magnificent palace. There seemed to be a banquet of the ages taking place.

The Envoy of Light was one of two Skyward envoys.

Music crept down a very long avenue, reaching a ponderously large palace at the end. Graceful fairies rose and fell in lithe dance. Some soldiers bobbed along to the music, listening to the melodious tunes.

Skyward in unparalleled prosperity, matched by no other!

Today, the venerated Skyward master celebrated his one millionth birthday. Guests from all aspects of the chaos came and high ranks could be seen everywhere. A group of dao masters were about to arrive to celebrate the Skyward master.

Although they were ninth ranks, a one millionth birthday was still a rare sight. As strong as they were, how many one million celebrations could one experience?

How many possessed one million years of life in the current chaos?

It was a flourishing scene of prosperity brimming with extraordinary bustle. A banquet of invincible heavyweights was about to take place. Apparently, more were on the way to congratulate the venerated one.

“Your Thunder Region has so many treasures, how would you be interested in something as crude as this?” chuckled the cultivator standing on a dais.

“Now now, we can hardly put things this way...” The man with a square face wanted to refute the words when the other frowned and looked into the distance.

“One million years... It has been one million years in the chaos... Calamity, how many more millions of years can we live, even though you and I are both ninth rank? The spirit of heaven and earth has dispersed these days...”

“This is a joyous occasion, why discuss unhappy matters?” Calamity frowned as well. “Is this what you want to talk about when everyone is gathered?”

“I do have such an idea in mind.”

“That’ll be hard to do!” Calamity shook his head. “My main dao is calamity, but I cannot punish dao masters. There is no helping it. No matter how strong you may be, you are just the dao master of space and not of the chaos. You are unable to resolve this either!”

Skyward didn’t say a word, he simply looked thoughtfully into space, then at the sky a few times.

“Who are you waiting for?” asked the Calamity master when he saw the man repeatedly assess the sky.

“I don’t know.” Skyward shook his head. “I just feel like... we might have some unexpected visitors today!”

Unexpected visitors?

Calamity was surprised, but suddenly thought of something. The look in his eyes shifted and he sunk into deep thought.

“You are versed in a myriad daos, so how can there be any surprise visitors?” he said after a long while. “The only possibility is if they are not within your control, which leaves only time as a possibility!”

“Perhaps... it is time!” Skyward smiled and looked no longer. He took a sip of wine and mulled over it. Time?

At the same time.

The river rippled. Li Hao was pale as a sheet by now. He took a deep breath as he looked at the massive wave in front of him. “We will be in an era one million years ago if we walk down from here. We are all just visitors of time descending upon the past. This will be very dangerous!

“There is more than one ninth rank in this era, there are many! I was discovered by the Human King when I traveled through New Martial and was almost hacked into two...”

The Human King shrugged. I didn’t actually kill you, you were lucky. I picked up the possibility that you might have something to do with me. If not, I would’ve hacked you into two long ago.

“So you are... unwilling?” Chaos Sky was rather surprised. Are you afraid, when push comes to shove?

What should they do now, then?

“Fair enough, it’s too dangerous,” the Human King piped in from the side. “It’s not worth it without eighty or one hundred billion dao crystals!”

“......” Seriously? The rest of the group looked wordlessly at him. That, however, was not Li Hao’s goal.

“It’d be a much bigger hassle if we split up and much easier to get lost. It’s better to stay together. I have an idea. I can incorporate you guys into my dao! You can transform into dao spirit and take up residence in my domain! Are the fellow daoists willing to hold down the fort in the four corners to stabilize time?

“We will become one and descend upon the past together! There is not enough time for us to replicate or imitate one another. You guys are only here in mental form, so it is easy for you to become part of my dao and wield control over the domain. If my strength can incorporate the strength of the four corners, then we are sure to be able to ensure our own protection!”

They wouldn’t be descending as individual entities upon the past, but as part of Li Hao’s dao. This was similar to when other exalted emperors had become part of his dao domain through taking up residence in a world!

“It can!” Fang Ping nodded.

“......” Li Hao struggled for what to say next. “Can it assimilate daos as one?”

“It can!”

“...then... can it wield time and escape in critical moments?”

“......” Fine. The Human King shrugged. His internal world couldn’t do that. The kid had checkmated him!

“Very well!” Chaos Sky was likewise resigned. He hadn’t thought much of it at first, but the kid had even greater ambitions than them. Clearly, he wanted them to control dao worlds and the great dao, but not only that. He wanted them to become part of what they grasped.

Minor worlds appeared in front of Li Hao. He smiled radiantly. “Seniors, please choose a world from which you can fully deploy your battle strength!”

Spring Autumn didn’t say anything. She immediately integrated herself into a world. That world was very small to begin with. It hadn’t been long since it was created. It was just an empty, minor world that the monster spirit instantly became part of.

The minor world suddenly grew stronger!

The major dao within it transformed from the size of a bean. It withered and flourished, metamorphosing into something new. It grew violently and expanded with fervor. This was something that Li Hao had never experienced before.

The daos of withering and flourishing!

It took only the blink of an eye for the minor world to reach third, fifth, and seventh rank... and then it shook, expanding rapidly to eighth rank!

It stabilized as an eighth rank world!

Li Hao drew back with shock. This was just mental strength, but it’d propelled one of his worlds to eighth rank! This was... terrifying!

“I will take up residence in the south!” Spring Autumn chuckled.

Chaos Sky shook his head slightly at the sight and stepped into a world. Li Hao was surprised to see that it was one of... weapon dao!

Chaos Sky was a master of weapons!

The minor world spun and swiveled, much like the dao chessboard did. The world shook and a solemn killing air emanated from it. The entire world expanded furiously and instantly transformed into a major world that landed in the west.

“I’ll take the west!”

Li Hao reeled with the discovery. So... did Chaos Sky focus on this dao, or was it a supplementary dao? He couldn’t see through the man. He could more or less discern a thing or two about the others, but this one eluded him somewhat.

The Human King headed east. Long Zhan shook his head with a smile and didn’t fight Fang Ping for it. He sped for the north and chose a world that was a white as jade. That was an easy one to identify—it was the one of the physical body, or the one of force!

A massive dragon coiled over the world and extended endlessly. It had also become an eighth rank world as well.

The Human King’s world showed an interesting sight when he became part of it. Infinite Human Kings arose, like they were infinite great daos. Even the tiny core of the world, the shadow of Li Hao, was turned into the Human King!

“I hold the east and my world cultivates me!” The Human King roared with laughter as the world... transformed into his resemblance and struck a cocky pose!
