Wilderness (5th Zone)
The special elders then left the place after some discussion. City Governor Martin and the other two Governors were there.
The bald-headed elder and the red-haired elder turned their attention towards them.
"So, the beasts were attracted by the improved Beast Powder?" the bald-headed elder asked.
Hearing that, Martin took a deep breath before nodding his head.
"Did you capture anyone?" the red-haired elder asked.
"No, the hideouts were empty," Martin replied.
The other two Governors were listening to the conversation as well. They knew about the inside information; Martin had slightly revealed it to them.
Still, they were shocked after hearing it directly from the elders.
"You did the right thing by reporting it to us. Otherwise, everyone would have considered it a natural Beast Invasion," the Red-Haired Elder said.
"Who else knows about it?" he asked.
Hearing that, Martin said, "Apart from us, the Head of the Red Moon Chamber organization knows about it. He was the one who found out first."
The Red-Haired Elder nodded his head and said, "Tell him not to leak the news to others. No one else should know about it. The background of that organization is not simple."
Martin and the Governors were taken aback.
"Elders, what do you mean?" Martin asked.
Hearing that, the Red-Haired Elder remained silent. He didn’t want to cause any panic.
"We cannot tell you about it, but if you find a similar situation again, inform us immediately," the bald-headed elder said.
Martin realized that he had crossed the line. He could not ask certain things, but he could guess that things weren’t easy in the Human Alliance either.
"Alright, Elder. I’ll keep a close watch on the wilderness," Martin said.
"We have decided to stay here for three days. We don’t know how long it will take for the scent to dissipate completely. So don’t tell others," the bald-headed elder said.
Hearing that, everyone agreed. Then, the five of them returned to the city. They went directly to the city office, where they had their own accommodations for guests.
The two elders decided to stay there.

Forenoon
In the hospital, Jeremy Night woke up. He had slept on the sofa. He opened his eyes and saw the time. It was forenoon. The big screen was on.
The news was playing. He then looked around and saw that his parents were asleep. He realized that they had fallen asleep while watching the news.
[Two Lords from the Human Alliance have successfully repelled the Tier-9 Beast. The wilderness is safe right now.]
The news anchor delivered the report. Hearing that, Jeremy Night’s eyes gleamed.
He felt a huge weight lift off his shoulders. If the city was safe, then his parents were safe as well.
He then checked his device. There were a lot of messages from Sister Melinda. He opened the messages and read them.
She shared the happy news as well. She also mentioned that Head Harold had returned and might want to meet them later.
He sent a reply back stating that he was in the hospital with his parents right now. After doing that, he began to think things over.
Since everything was fine now, he might be called back soon. So, he began to order some food for his parents.
A few minutes later,
Ron and Nora woke up. The doctor came in for a checkup and told them that they could be discharged from the hospital.
Jeremy Night was there and asked about his parents’ condition. Knowing that they were fine, he sighed in relief. They could have been discharged earlier, but he had decided to wait until a complete checkup was done.
When the doctor left, he spoke to his parents about the discharge. Everyone decided to leave later in the evening.

Red Moon Chamber
Head Harold was in his office. He had slept for a few hours before coming here. Not only that, but he had also provided saved-up resources to his Lifeline Beast.
His Lifeline Beast, the Red-Brown Beast, had consumed everything. It was now resting inside the mental zone.
Harold looked over the pending reports, but his gaze fell on a new report. He wanted to know whether any casualties had occurred in the battle.
He picked up the report and began to go through it.
He found out that there were no casualties, but several members had suffered serious injuries. He immediately ordered the elders to provide them relief.
Only after finishing the report did he sigh in relief.
He had been afraid there could be casualties. Now that the members were fine, he could focus on other things.
He then picked up the rest of the pending reports and began to go through them.
Post noon,
The city administration released the official news: the wilderness was safe, the Tier-9 beasts had been repelled, and the two Lords from the Human Alliance had saved the city.
When the news was heard by the public, they celebrated. Everyone had heard the loud noises coming from the wilderness; they knew it could be related to higher-tier beasts or a Tier-9 Beast.
Though the media had reported on it earlier, they didn’t have proof. They had requested comments from officials, but the officials had refused to say anything.
Now that the official news was released, some were in shock. They hadn’t expected that they were under the threat of a Tier-9 Beast the whole time.
The Tier-8 Beast Tamers returned to their families. They were the family heads and the leaders of various organizations.
They told their families the truth. Still, they were sensible; they didn’t reveal anything about the second Tier-9 Beast.
The news of a second Tier-9 Beast would alarm the city, so they didn’t say anything about it. They only revealed that two Tier-9 Lords had saved the city.
The Head of the Beast Taming Association and the Dean of the Central University returned to their respective organizations. They were immediately contacted by their HQs to explain what had happened.
Both heads of the organizations didn’t hide the news from their higher-ups. They reported that two Tier-9 Beasts had been drawn to the city for some reason.
They also reported that the Lords from the Human Alliance knew the reason, but had refused to reveal it.
