Special Base (4th Zone)
"Tell me about the corrupted beasts’ activities," John asked.
Hearing that, Jeremy Night nodded his head. He had thought of an idea already. He was not going to tell him the truth.
"I was approaching the border. Then I saw the figure of a 12-metre-tall beast across the border. It was a Spider Beast.
After spotting the beast, I didn’t move an inch from the spot until the beast left my sight," Jeremy said to him.
"12 metres tall. It must be Tier-7 or higher," John commented. He then studied Jeremy with a grave look.
He didn’t know how the young man had survived. If it were a higher-tier beast, then it would have detected the presence of a human nearby.
He thought Jeremy Night was lucky. For some reason, the beast didn’t pay attention to him. He then talked to him for about ten minutes more.
"Okay. I’ll give this device to Elder Sandra for review. Your rewards will be credited once the review is done," Elder John said with a smile.
Jeremy replied, "Okay."
Then he was ready to leave. He stood up and exited the office room. He started heading back towards the accommodation building.
He was going to do his daily practice before following the daily schedule.
10 minutes later,
He returned to the room. The first thing he did was put on his training clothes.
After doing that, he paid attention to the mental zone. He saw that Stella was still absorbing the natural energy.
He didn’t know whether she took breaks in between.
Next, he entered the practice room. The door behind him shut automatically. He went to the switchboard and turned on the switch.
Buzz!
The natural energy entered the room from the inlet. It began to spread across the room. He waited until the dense mist formed.
Stella had taken the initiative to absorb more in concentration. More of the thick natural energy entered the egg.
Next, he walked up to the middle. He sat cross-legged on the ground. Then he closed his eyes and began to use the inner healing method.
As time passed, the natural energy drifted towards his body. He guided the energy along the route. The cells became activated as the energy passed through the route.
They began absorbing the natural energy. His talent kicked in. The damaged cells were repaired automatically by using natural energy.
Stella increased the flow of intake. She liked the pure, rich natural energy in the room.

Meanwhile,
Elder John spoke with Elder Sandra and brought the helmet device to her office.
Upon seeing that helmet device, her expression shifted dramatically. She immediately thought of Jeremy Night.
"What happened to that young man?"
"Is he alright?" Sandra asked, her voice filled with concern.
John placed the helmet device on the table. He then began to talk.
"No, he is good. He came back from the mission early this morning. We had a meeting earlier." After saying that, he added further,
"Jeremy Night came across a Tier-7 Spider at the southeastern border."
"What?"
"No way. They are located in deep caves. That must be a few miles from the border," Sandra exclaimed in surprise.
The information was too important for them. Normally, the southeastern border was barren. There were sightings of one or two higher-tier beasts there.
But they had never crossed the border. Except for a few spots, most of the terrain was barren and easy to explore.
That’s why they had sent Jeremy Night to explore the place.
"Hmmm."
"I believe we have incorrect information. Changes must have taken place there. He spotted the beast’s silhouette from the border line."
"If he had crossed the border, the beast would have killed him," John explained.
Sandra pondered.
"How large was the beast?" she asked.
"He saw that the beast was at least the height of 12 metres," John replied.
Her expression changed dramatically. She thought that the young man had no reason to lie. He had participated in several beast invasion battles before.
"What about the mission?" she asked.
John smiled and said, "Despite the threat, he was able to find a few unmarked places and mapped them with the help of the device."
Hearing that, her expression eased.
"Jeremy Night didn’t disappoint me," she said with a smile.
"Take it to that lab in City A. They will develop the footage we wanted to see. And come back with that footage," Sandra gave the assignment.
John immediately thought of Jeremy Night.
"Can I take him with me?" he asked.
Sandra nodded her head.
10 minutes later,
John was in his office. He tried to contact Jeremy Night, but he was not picking up the device. He immediately thought of the administration building.
He wondered if the young man had gone to select another mission again. He immediately contacted Elder Smith and got details from him.
Knowing that Jeremy Night was not there, he sighed in relief. He told Smith that if Jeremy Night came there, to send him back to his office.
After ending the call, he sent a text message to Jeremy Night to call him back.
...
A few hours later,
Creak!
Jeremy walked out of the room. He felt good after following the training schedule. Next, he went to the bathroom to take a shower.
He spent 20 minutes there before coming out. Then he changed into comfortable clothes. He came to the sofa to lie down and check his device.
He immediately saw a few missed calls. They were from Elder John. He immediately called back. When the call was connected, he heard from Elder John.
"Jeremy, be prepared. We are going to City A on the night flight. Meet me at 9 PM at the administration building," John said on the call.
"Okay," Jeremy replied.
He didn’t ask further questions. When the call ended, he pondered. If it was City A, then he knew it was City A under the 4th Zone.
He got curious. He wondered what this was about. He was about to follow his routine earlier; now the call made him change his plan.
He was going to sleep next. He set an alarm before sleeping on the sofa.
