The Overseer could tell why the head of one of her foxes hadn't recovered.

The Major Law of Death.

The Overseer's usual strategy in battle was to generate several familiars, which emulated her beast form. Since these familiars were almost alive, they could also regenerate Energy. These familiars were essentially attacks that kept launching new attacks, potentially giving infinite return on a finite investment of Energy.

She would send her familiars after her enemies, keeping them busy. Meanwhile, she would use her Energy and her Domain to heal and support them. If the fight went well, she could even recover enough Energy to summon even more familiars.

Yet, the Major Law of Death had proved to be an issue. Since the Energy of her familiars was separate from her own Energy, they would also use their own Energy to recover. Sadly, this was not possible with that particular fox.

It was almost like that fox wasn't supposed to have a head. Based on reality, that fox was completely healthy.

The Overseer used her own Energy, and moments later, the fox grew a new head. Technically, the fox's head didn't recover. Instead, the Overseer had granted it a new head. This kind of recovery was fundamentally different. Instead of repairing a machine, the machine received a completely new module, which it hadn't had before.

Naturally, this cost the Overseer some Energy, but she could still deal with the expenditure.

On the other side, Red swung his hammer again, and one of the two foxes launched its own attack in response.

Yet, Red was facing two foxes, not one. The other fox gathered immense amounts of Energy and launched a concentrated beam of mixed Elements. This time, Red couldn't pull his hammer up again.

Suddenly, the reality between Red and the attack warped as Red's Energy dropped.

Red had activated his External Complex Law, which was made of the Primordial Forces. The Overseer's Domain fought Red's Primordial Force Law, but Red's Law overwhelmed the Overseer's Domain. A Domain's greatest strength wasn't its raw power, but the fact that it didn't need any Energy to be used. Most Complex Laws could overpower a Domain, but this signified only a temporary advantage in exchange for a loss of resources.

The concentrated beam of Energy split into countless tiny beams, which were slowed to different speeds. Each beam hit Red at a different time, but he remained uninjured. The Energy inside the attack was the same as before, but its destructive powers had been mitigated. This was the difference between getting punched ten times by a small man weighing ten kilos and getting punched one time by a man weighing a hundred kilos.

Sadly, this move had cost Red almost 10% of his stored Energy.

BOOOOM!

Black's hammer demolished its opponent's claws and arms, and the Overseer was forced to invest more Energy. At the same time, she also used her Domain to heal the fox that Red had injured.

The Overseer's brows furrowed as she realized something.

'My expenditure and recovery are equal. Keeping the fox alive takes too much Energy. I need to deal with the black Avatar first!'

Seekers could consume Elemental Energies to a certain degree, but their ability was very limited. They needed to break down the Elemental Energy and convert it into a kind of Energy they could use. Additionally, the speed of their consumption couldn't even rival the consumption speed of a beast.

However, Kyle's hammers were not just humans.

They were also Elementals.

If these were actual living beings,Kyle wouldn't be able to consume these bits of gore easily. After all, they would be made of actual bone, flesh, blood, and skin.

Yet, these foxes were just temporary quasi-lifeforms. As soon as there was no will on them anymore, they would rapidly collapse, turning back into Immortal Elemental Energies.

The Overseer's eyes widened in horror as she witnessed Red's hammer consuming almost all of the broken Energy. Her Domain tried to revert time and restore the Energies to a previous state, but she couldn't! The Energies that Red's hammer had consumed now had Kyle's will on them, which meant she couldn't control them!

At the same time, she also noticed that the density of Red's Energy was increasing, which meant that he was recovering Energy! How?!

Then, she realized what was happening. 'The hammer is not just a weapon! It's an Avatar! Even more, it counts as an Elemental and a human!'

Being struck by the hammer was similar to entering a beast's maw. The Energies broke down and were consumed.

However, the Overseer also noticed that Red hadn't used that ability before. There had to be a reason behind it.

The red one's hammer consumed Energy, while the black one's hammer destroyed Energy.

The sheer power of the red one's hammer was significantly greater than the power of the black one's hammer, but the black one's hammer completely eradicated Energy.

She had fallen for Kyle's trick!

If she had known that Red could also use the Major Law of Death, she wouldn't have detonated her fox!
