Suddenly, the great number of Demons made a lot of sense. If there were just ten layers, the Demons would have ten times as much space. That would explain why there were so many of them.
But then, the next question was...
"How do we get there?" Star Genesis asked.
"Probably not from here," Kyle answered. "The root network is blocking our access. There might be a way to get down a layer later, but it's also possible that the different layers aren't supposed to interact with each other. Anyway, I think we should find a good place for the next step of our plan while Sebastian keeps scouting."
"Why can't we talk and walk?" Sebastian asked. "It's not like we have anything better to do."
"Also true," Kyle answered.
The team continued traveling east, while Sebastian kept scouting out the Elemental Dimension.
After running around for some years, Sebastian came to a conclusion.
The different layers were grouped. There were layers for weaker beasts, layers for stronger beasts, and layers for really powerful beasts. Based on the distribution, there were several weak layers for every strong layer, and there were several strong layers for every peak layer. It was almost like Ayuvar had its own little tiered worlds.
The only exception was the actual surface. Based on what they could see, all levels of power were present. It was just that the power of the average Demon increased the further east one went.Eventually, the team found an area with plenty of Primal Demons, which was just right for their plans. The number of Level Two Law Wells was the highest, but there were also some Level Three Law Wells.
"Alright," Kyle said as he stopped the Demon Car. "This place is good. Do you guys agree that we should transform the Demon Car now?"
"Yes," Star Genesis answered.
"Sure," Sebastian added.
"Alright, so, which method will we use?" Kyle asked. "Manny gave us a couple of them. Do we want to go with the easier or the harder way?"
"I'll leave the decision to you," Star Genesis said.
"I'm not sure," Sebastian added. "You will probably face the same problem that I'm facing if we go with the harder way. We don't know how such a fusion will affect your Spirit. In the worst-case scenario, you die, but even the average case scenario might cause problems. You might lose access to all of your other Elements."
"Possible," Kyle answered, "but I would also gain access to Level Five, Six, and even Seven Elemental Laws. I might also be able to circumvent the Formation Arrays and comprehend the Primordial Force Laws. If we go with the easy way, we would also need to go with the original plan."
"I don't know about you, but I think the Overseer is stronger than we had anticipated. They've been fighting for hundreds of millions of years, and I don't think someone like that just sits around. Most likely, they also improved their powers. The only edge I have is my Imposing Law, but I might be weaker in every other aspect."
Kyle's brows furrowed. "If I had so much time, I would comprehend all the Elemental Laws that are available to me. I wouldn't even need True Battles since time wouldn't be a factor anymore. I could just brute-force the comprehension by investing millions of years. If the Overseer did just that, there's no way I can win by following the easy way."
"We have to assume that the Overseer has access to eleven Level Seven Laws. If they combined all of them, they might even have access to a Complex Level Nine Law. I don't think we can afford to play it safe."
Star Genesis' brows furrowed. "Are you sure you're not overthinking? Yes, the Overseer is powerful, but you think they know eleven Level Seven Laws? That sounds a bit too crazy."
"I think it's possible," Kyle answered. "In fact, I think it's very likely. At least, that's what I would do. Alternatively, it's also possible that they found ways to infuse their body and Beast Core with Laws. If I were them, I would fuse three Level Seven Laws and infuse my body. Then, I would fuse another three and infuse my Beast Core. Lastly, I would fuse the remaining five to create a powerful Level 8.5 External Complex Law."
"An Advanced Ascendant only needs a single Level Eight Law, but they might have three of them. They have probably comprehended every Law they can. If I don't push myself, I don't think I can win."
Star Genesis looked with discomfort at Kyle before turning to Sebastian.
Sebastian sighed. "I'll make the preparations."
"Thank you," Kyle said.
Once more, the team took another risk. Manny had explained how everything worked, but not even he had been sure if his theory was correct. Manny knew a terrifying amount about basically everything, but the method he had suggested had not even existed in theory before he had come up with it.
When it came to the easy way to condense a true Spirit, Manny had said that this had been achieved by their Organization a couple of times. He had also assured them that it worked, as long as they followed his instructions. Yet, he couldn't make the same promise for the harder and more extravagant method.
According to him, no one had ever attempted something like that, which also meant that Manny didn't know how the Cosmos' rules worked. Most likely, there were no rules concerning this act. It had never been done before, which meant there were no established rules. The God of this Cosmos would feel the strange sensations and make a decision on the matter... if he were here. Unfortunately, he wasn't, which meant the automatic rules of the Cosmos would make the decisions.
The easy way to condense a true Spirit was to slowly change the Demon Car's body. By slowly destroying and recreating it with different kinds of Energy, they could mimic the way Energy moved when a fetus was developing. The system would be fooled into believing that a new life was being born in a natural way.
However, achieving that sounded easier than it was. Manny's instructions had been incredibly lengthy, detailed, and complex. In fact, they were so complex that it wasn't even possible for a Spirit Lord to create something like that. Just following them already required an advanced mind.
Of course, Manny had said that it wasn't him who had come up with this method. It was one of their most powerful members. They had spent millions of years creating this method.
This would have been the easy way, but they weren't going to use it.
They were about to attempt something that had never been done before.
The team waited as Sebastian made the preparations, and some hours later, he took a deep breath.
"I've got it," he said. "I've made a mixed Elemental of fire, wind, and metal. We can start whenever you want."
Kyle nodded. "Bring it here."
