System Mission: Seduce the Final Boss [BL]

Chapter 207: The heart-grabbing plan is starting

"Okay, now I’ll explain how AL-TECH’s underground facility is officially structured and divided."

Estelle stood in front of the holographic blueprints.

A week of deep hacking had finally paid off.

Estelle had managed to get into AL-TECH’s surveillance network more than once, recovering fragments of CCTV footage and cross-referencing them with the information contained within the blueprints.

Tania had spent just as long deciphering the markings they’d previously found.

Together, they’d finally managed to construct something resembling a complete picture.

"AL-TECH isn’t organized as one continuous facility. We knew that already, but we weren’t sure how everything operated. Now we do. The underground network is divided into major sections, and those are then divided into specialized sectors."

She enlarged the map.

"Because AL-TECH’s operations spread across the entire country, these underground facilities aren’t concentrated in one location. They’re connected through transportation tunnels, secured elevators, underground rail systems, and independent access points."

Estelle highlighted the first area.

"Section One is Biological Research. This is where most of AL-TECH’s conventional biological research happens. Human physiology, cellular engineering, genetic compatibility, regenerative studies, and other things that don’t necessarily require direct experimentation on extraterrestrial subjects."

Another section lit up.

"Section Two: Extraterrestrial Biology. This is where their original research is concentrated. Alien tissue, recovered biological samples, genetic material, physiological differences between species..."

Blake’s expression became more serious.

"So that’s where they first started, right? When they first started developing weapons and devices with alien DNA?"

"Yes."

Estelle moved to another section.

"Section Three: Hybridization and Integration. Human subjects are exposed to alien DNA, compatibility experiments and artificial integration. This is basically one of the final stages."

Blake felt his stomach tighten.

’That is where a-exp is...’

She moved on.

"Section Four: Weapons Development."

The projection displayed a collection of laboratories, testing chambers, armories, and enormous enclosed areas.

"Energy weapons, biological weapons, enhanced combat equipment, anti-alien technology, containment systems, experimental armor. And then there’s Section Five."

Estelle highlighted it.

"Section Five: Containment and Human Compatibility Assessment."

Blake leaned closer.

"This is connected to AFE!"

"Correct."

Estelle zoomed in.

"Section Five is primarily concerned with imprisonment, observation, and determining whether human subjects can withstand extraterrestrial biological material."

Blake’s expression hardened.

"So it’s like... the preliminar part, right? Where AFE is..."

Tania pointed at several subsections.

"Yes. These aren’t ordinary prison cells. Some are designed for long-term observation. Others have controlled environments intended to expose subjects to different conditions before introducing alien DNA."

Blake swallowed.

"How do they decide who’s compatible?"

"They monitor biological responses."

Estelle brought up another diagram.

"Immune reactions, cellular instability, organ rejection, neurological abnormalities, genetic degradation, metabolic changes and so on."

She paused.

"And if the subject survives?"

"Then these people will be used for AL-TECH’S purpose."

It wasn’t simply a prison.

It was an enormous screening and experimentation system.

Estelle continued.

"Section Five also contains specialized containment areas for subjects who become unstable or dangerous. That’s why the security is considerably higher than in the other sections."

She shifted the projection.

"And YEN?"

A particular portion of Section Five expanded.

"YEN is one of the operational sectors attached to Section Five. It handles a combination of subject management, security, documentation, and controlled research."

Blake nodded slowly.

"So that’s why the uniforms are different."

"Exactly."

Estelle enlarged several uniform designs.

"Every major section uses a different uniform configuration. The purpose isn’t aesthetic. It’s identification. Personnel need to recognize someone’s authorization and section affiliation immediately."

She pointed at the YEN uniform.

"YEN personnel use this design. Other sections have different colors, insignias, equipment, and protective gear."

Blake looked at his printed design.

"And some wear helmets, just like at AFE..."

"Correct. YEN doesn’t require them under normal circumstances. They use military-style caps instead."

She looked at him.

"Which is why your disguise has one."

Blake nodded.

Estelle lowered the projection slightly.

"This is everything Tania and I managed to recover and decode. There are still sections we can’t fully access, but we know enough about the general organization to navigate the relevant areas."

Then she looked directly at Blake.

"Now..."

She smiled faintly.

"Please show us your disguise."

Blake’s stomach dropped.

Today the operation officially started today, after all.

He slowly stood, everyone gathering around him.

Myles.

Alexis.

Zlatan.

Tania.

Estelle.

Blake stood awkwardly in the center of the room.

"Okay..."

He reached into his pocket.

Then pulled out the Blank Mask, putting it over his face.

His imagination activated almost immediately.

Fortunately, he’d gotten considerably faster at transforming.

All the training had helped.

Fighting.

Movement.

Using his abilities.

Even simply practicing the mask repeatedly had made the process much more natural...

His appearance shifted.

His face changed.

His body adjusted.

His hair shortened.

His features became those of a completely different person.

When the transformation finished, Blake was standing there as a YEN soldier.

The uniform fit perfectly.

Military-style clothing.

His false badge.

The right equipment.

And, most importantly, the correct appearance.

His military cap sat over his head, covering most of the mask, this was the only real protection for his face.

Estelle stared.

"...Wow."

Blake looked at her.

"Good?"

"That’s..."

She stepped closer.

"It’s almost disturbing."

"Disturbing?"

"It’s accurate."

Estelle examined his uniform.

"The insignia is correct. The placement of the equipment is correct. Even the stitching patterns match..."

Blake smiled awkwardly.

"Nice..."

Zlatan leaned closer.

"That’s impressive."

Tania nodded.

"Very."

Blake looked at Alexis.

Alexis simply stared.

"Speak."

Blake cleared his throat.

’Right.’

He straightened his posture.

Then attempted to produce the deepest, most authoritative voice he could.

"...Understood."

Silence.

Blake’s eyes shifted between everyone.

Nobody said anything.

He slowly lowered his head.

"...That’s the deepest voice I can do."

Alexis sighed.

He stood up.

"Whatever."

Blake frowned.

"What?"

"Nothing."

Alexis walked toward him and handed him a small device.

"If anything goes wrong, press this."

Blake looked down at it.

"A button?"

"Yes."

"What happens?"

"I get inside."

Blake nodded.

Right.

Alexis wasn’t going to be accompanying him directly.

For the most part, Blake would be alone.

Alexis would remain outside the facility, handling communications, monitoring his location, and keeping an eye out for any second generation approaching from outside.

If Blake encountered someone too strong to handle... Alexis would intervene.

But only then.

That was intentional.

If they didn’t need to expose themselves, they wouldn’t.

It was considerably better for Alexis, and everyone else working with Myles, to remain unknown to the public.

Only UD had ever been photographed and publicly discussed, and even then, only to an extremely llimited extent.

The identities of the others remained protected.

Alexis handed Blake another device.

"A tracker."

Blake took it.

"Put it on."

Blake lifted the bottom of the soldier uniform’s shirt.

He attached the small device near his pelvis.

"Like this?"

"Yes."

Alexis crouched slightly, checking the signal.

"This tracks your position and also measures thermal signatures around you."

Blake raised an eyebrow.

"Thermal signatures?"

"It can estimate how many people are within your immediate surroundings."

"Oh."

"So you can see them?"

"I can see the readings."

Alexis pointed toward his own equipment.

"If you’re chased, I can tell how many people are following you and where they’re approaching from. I’ll direct you toward routes with fewer signatures."

Blake nodded.

"And if there’s someone stronger?"

"I’ll know."

"And then?"

"Must I spell everything out for you? Of course, I’ll intervene."

Blake took a deep breath.

He looked at himself again.

The uniform.

The cap.

The disguise.

Everything was ready.

If this worked...

He could start gaining their trust.

Which meant he couldn’t afford to make some stupid mistake during the first step.

Blake clenched his fists.

"Okay."

He looked toward everyone.

"I’ll do my best."

Myles watched him silently, then gave a small nod.

Blake looked down at the button Alexis had given him.

Hopefully, he wouldn’t need it.

Hopefully, nobody would notice anything strange.

Hopefully, he’d walk in as a soldier...

And walk out with their trust.

He took another breath.

"Let’s do this."

For a brief moment, nobody spoke.

Then Estelle stepped closer and adjusted the edge of his cap.

"One more thing."

Blake looked at her.

"Don’t overact."

"What?"

"You’re supposed to be a soldier, not someone trying desperately to convince everyone you’re a soldier."

Blake slowly nodded.

"Right."

"Walk normally. Don’t stare at everything. If someone speaks to you, answer briefly. You don’t need to explain yourself unless you’re asked."

’Hahah... she does know I do that already. Still, they don’t know how I operate usually, so yeah...’

Tania added, "And don’t fight unnecessarily. The fewer unusual things happen around you, the better."

"Got it."

Alexis pointed at him.

"And don’t forget the tracker."

"I won’t."

"And the emergency button."

"I won’t."

"And—"

"I know!"

Alexis frowned.

Blake frowned back.

Estelle sighed.

"Good. Then we’re ready."

Blake looked toward Myles one last time.

Myles simply said,

"Come back safely."

Blake’s expression softened.

"I will."

He turned toward the elevator.

His heartbeat was already accelerating.

But he couldn’t let that show.

Not now.

The uniform was convincing.

The face was convincing.

The voice...

Well.

It was the best he could do.

Blake adjusted his cap.

Then stepped forward.

Today, he wasn’t going into YEN as himself.

He was going in as someone they will trust in the near future.
