The Demon with Holy Radiance

Chapter 625 - 355: Chaos (Part 2)

The Golden Thread Pavilion’s Magical Artifacts weren’t exceptionally powerful, but they were forged from special materials. It was difficult enough to break them with sheer Physical Power, let alone shatter them completely. It wasn’t as if no one had tried before, but they had all ultimately failed.

Although they could still use their Physical Power, whenever they tried to destroy the Magical Artifact, the force they exerted would be absorbed by it, paradoxically tightening its hold.

Some had even tried to commit suicide by completely pulverizing their own bodies, yet they still couldn’t break free from the Magical Artifact’s restraints. The artifact clung to them like a shadow.

And yet, Yang An had just crushed it to dust with such ease.

’This guy!’

The onlookers couldn’t even see a hint of exertion on his face.

’Is he really that terrifying?’

Subconsciously, the onlookers all took a step back, feeling an immense pressure.

Glancing at their reactions, Yang An smiled faintly.

’Of course, it wasn’t actually that easy for me to destroy the Magical Artifact. Although my Physical Power alone can match that of a top-tier Zombie God, this artifact isn’t something that can be destroyed by brute force.’

’The reason I could do it so easily was simply because I controlled the Dust within my body to dissolve the Magical Artifact in an instant.’

’I’m not some weakling who becomes useless just because my Mana is sealed and my body is restrained.’

The shattered arm of the man before him had already regenerated completely. He was now staring at Yang An like a tiger watching its prey. Yang An, in turn, exuded an immense pressure that no one had anticipated from someone so freakishly strong.

But seeing Yang An break free from his restraints so easily, the man—whose mind worked in unusual ways—suddenly grew restless with an idea.

"You can break the restraints? Help me! Hurry up and break mine, and we can fight our way out of the Golden Thread Pavilion together!"

An expectant look appeared on his face. The Golden Thread Pavilion was currently vulnerable; if they seized this chance to escape, they might be able to turn the whole place upside down.

Hearing the man’s words, everyone else immediately caught on and looked at Yang An once more.

’That’s right!’

’Since he can break the Magical Artifacts, he could definitely break the ones on us, too! Then we’d have a chance to escape this place.’

"Of course."

Yang An nodded slightly, his smile widening. ’Considering the current situation, causing a diversion is the better option. But I can’t let these guys run completely wild. There’s a risk they’ll expose me.’

’A prison is a useful place. Everyone here wants to get out, but the people inside are far from good.’

He would agree to free them, but on one condition.

Inside the dark prison, a brilliant light flared from Yang An’s body, shattering into thousands of streams of light that shot into the prisoners’ bodies with a WHOOSH.

Before the prisoners could even see what it was, looks of agony contorted their faces as a scorching heat burned within them.

"I’ll help you get out. I don’t care what you do after that, but remember: watch your words."

Yang An had planted a sliver of light inside each of them. It would cause a constant, searing pain in their bodies, but it wouldn’t erupt—not yet.

But if any of them revealed his presence to the Golden Thread Pavilion, the light inside them would explode, melting the one who talked into a pile of black ash.

Having issued his warning, another burst of light suddenly erupted from him, spreading out like a great net to envelop the entire prison.

The chains and shackles binding them dissolved in an instant. Cheers immediately erupted throughout the prison. Who knew how long they had longed for this moment.

It seemed they paid no mind to Yang An’s warning. The instant their restraints were gone, everyone erupted into a frenzy, and the entire prison began to tremble violently.

Outside, the Golden Thread Pavilion’s Floating Island was unusually quiet, carrying a solemn air that was different from most days.

Then, in a flash, an earth-shattering explosion ripped through the air. From the direction of the prison, mountains of rock collapsed as a massive horde of people burst forth, scattering in every direction.

The guards of the Golden Thread Pavilion noticed the scene at once and were left utterly stunned.

The prison has been breached! The prisoners are escaping!

The entire Golden Thread Pavilion descended into chaos. Countless Cultivators emerged from all corners, rushing to intercept the escaped convicts.

Meanwhile, in an unnoticed corner, Yang An—the true mastermind—emerged from the shadows. Using an Illusion Technique to conceal his aura, he quickly pinpointed the location he had sensed before and vanished, becoming a fleeting black shadow.

Half of the Golden Thread Pavilion’s Floating Island was covered in magnificent and imposing structures, veritable celestial palaces of jade and gold. The other half, however, was a landscape of mountain ranges and perilous peaks, as if a rugged piece of the terrestrial world had been ripped out and placed upon the island in the sky.

And the Forbidden Artifact Fragment that Yang An had sensed earlier was located within this very mountain range, situated at the rear of the Floating Island. Typically, a location like this would be one of a Sect’s most heavily guarded areas.

Yang An moved forward with caution, careful not to alert anyone. Right now, all of the Golden Thread Pavilion’s Cultivators had been dispatched to intercept and recapture the violent felons who had escaped from the prison. No one paid him the slightest bit of attention.

’This chaotic scene is exactly what I had in mind. It couldn’t be more perfect.’

With everything going so smoothly, Yang An skirted around the main hall at the heart of the Golden Thread Pavilion, slipped through a narrow side path, and entered the mountain range.
