The Eclipsed Order

Chapter 120: The Boundary Has Been Crossed

Chapter 120: Chapter 120: The Boundary Has Been Crossed

They were no longer the same individuals who had entered the chamber.

Each of them had crossed another boundary.

The transformation was not merely something they could feel in their bodies. Their mana had changed in quality, becoming denser and more refined, while the very presence they unconsciously released had become fundamentally different from what it had been only moments earlier.

Ares looked across the six figures standing before him.

Vhan, Vince, Aurora, Herrera, Octavia, and Leonora were all silent, still trying to comprehend what had just happened.

Ares finally spoke.

"You’ve all crossed the boundary into the Transcendent realm."

The words fell into the chamber.

For a moment, there was no response.

Then—

"Transcendent...?"

Vhan’s eyes widened.

"All six of us?"

Vince looked down at his own hands, sensing the unfamiliar power flowing through his body.

"That’s impossible. I was nowhere near this level before."

Aurora’s expression remained composed, but even she could not completely conceal her surprise.

"Master... you have given us enough power to cross an entire realm?"

Herrera stared at Ares.

"So that means the power we received wasn’t simply an enhancement."

Octavia’s eyes narrowed as she examined her own mana.

"Our existence itself has changed."

Leonora remained silent for several seconds before finally looking toward Ares.

"To think you could accomplish something like this so casually..."

Their voices overlapped as they tried to understand what they had just experienced.

"How is this possible?"

"How much power did you give us?"

"Does this mean we’ve reached the same realm as the strongest beings?"

"Master, what exactly did you give us?"

Ares raised one hand.

The overlapping voices gradually disappeared.

"Calm down."

The chamber fell silent again.

Ares looked at them with a faint smile.

"The power I gave you is based on the authority of the Fifteen-Tailed Celestial Fox. Each authority contains a fragment of a completely different form of power, and I adapted those authorities specifically for each of you."

He paused, allowing them to absorb his words.

"You were already strong before today. I wouldn’t have chosen any of you otherwise. But strength alone isn’t enough. You’ve all been carrying responsibilities for Eclipse, and you’ve repeatedly placed yourselves in situations where your lives were at risk."

His gaze moved from one person to another.

"I don’t want to see any of you die simply because you weren’t strong enough."

The six remained completely still.

Ares continued.

"So I decided to give you another step forward."

Vhan slowly clenched his fist.

The power inside him responded immediately.

It was enormous.

Yet unlike raw power, it didn’t feel chaotic. It flowed through his body with an almost natural precision, as though it had always belonged there.

Vince closed his eyes for a moment.

He could feel the same transformation.

His mana was deeper.

His body felt stronger.

Even his senses had become sharper.

Aurora quietly examined the energy surrounding her.

"This is..."

Herrera looked at her own hand.

"An entirely different level."

Octavia slowly exhaled.

"Transcendence..."

Leonora’s eyes remained fixed on Ares.

"So this is what you’ve given us."

Ares nodded.

"Yes."

Vhan stepped forward.

His expression, usually restrained, had become noticeably more solemn.

"Master..."

He lowered his head.

"To receive such power from you is an honor beyond anything I could have expected."

Vince followed.

"I feel as though the limits I once believed were absolute have simply disappeared."

Aurora lowered her gaze.

"You have entrusted us with power that could change the balance of this world."

Herrera smiled faintly.

"And you expect us to simply accept it?"

Ares raised an eyebrow.

"Do you have a problem with it?"

"No."

Herrera’s smile widened.

"Not in the slightest."

Octavia quietly nodded.

"Then we will make certain this power is not wasted."

Leonora looked toward the others before returning her gaze to Ares.

"We understand."

Ares smiled.

"Good."

The six stood before him in silence.

None of them had expected this.

They had entered the throne chamber as powerful members of Eclipse.

They now stood at the threshold of an entirely different existence.

And yet, despite the overwhelming power flowing through their bodies, every one of them understood the same thing.

This power had not been taken.

It had been given.

And the one standing before them was the person who had given it to them.

For the first time, the six truly understood just how vast the power of their master might be.

Ares looked toward the Seven Crowns.

They had already stepped forward and were standing in a single line before the throne, each waiting quietly for his next words.

"The Seven Crowns have carried a different responsibility from the beginning. You are not merely members of Eclipse who possess exceptional strength. You are the people entrusted with responsibilities that cannot be handed to ordinary members."

His gaze moved across them.

"You have fought, protected our people, gathered information, and placed yourselves in danger whenever Eclipse required it. For that reason, the power I give you today will not simply be another increase in strength."

The seven listened carefully.

"Each of you will receive a new title, one that represents the authority you will carry from this day forward. Along with that title, I will grant you a power suited to your abilities."

Ares raised his hand.

"These powers originate from the Fifteen-Tailed Celestial Fox. I have separated and refined its authorities so that each of you can inherit a different aspect of its power."

A faint pressure spread throughout the chamber.

The Seven Crowns remained completely still.

Ares looked toward the first person.

"Samantha."

Samantha stepped forward.

"You have always been someone who moves forward rather than waiting for others to lead the way. Your strength is not simply in your ability to fight, but in your ability to inspire those around you."

A warm radiance began gathering around Ares’s hand.

"From this day forward, you shall bear the title Dawn Bringer."

Samantha’s eyes widened slightly.

"And I will entrust you with the Sun Lion Authority."

The moment Ares extended his hand, brilliant golden energy flowed toward Samantha.

FWOOOOSH!

The light surrounded her body before sinking directly into her mana.

Samantha’s hair lifted in the sudden surge of power, while a radiant aura spread from her body and illuminated the floor beneath her feet.

She slowly clenched her hand.

"So this is..."

Her voice was quiet.

"The power of the Sun Lion."

Ares nodded.

"It will allow you to manipulate solar energy, greatly reinforce your physical abilities, and release concentrated attacks of extreme destructive power. More importantly, the authority possesses a regenerative aspect. As long as you remain connected to its light, your stamina and mana recovery will be considerably enhanced."

Samantha looked toward Ares.

A smile slowly appeared on her face.

"To receive such power and a title from you is an honor, Great Eclipse. I will ensure that neither is ever wasted."

Ares nodded.

"Good."

His attention shifted.

"Bianca."

Bianca stepped forward.

"You have always excelled at observation and precision. You don’t need to stand at the center of a battlefield to influence its outcome."

A faint constellation of silver light appeared around Ares’s hand.

"Therefore, your title shall be Star fall."

Bianca’s expression became slightly more serious.

"And you shall receive the Star Serpent Authority."

SHIIIIING!

The silver energy flowed into her.

Tiny points of light appeared around Bianca before disappearing into her body.

"This authority will allow you to manipulate astral energy, create concentrated attacks from a distance, and form temporary constructs from condensed starlight. Its greatest strength is precision. You will be able to strike an enemy from distances where ordinary fighters would be incapable of even perceiving the target."

Bianca slowly opened her eyes.

"I understand."

She lowered her head.

"To be entrusted with such power by the Great Eclipse is something I will remember for the rest of my life. I will use it to ensure that no threat escapes our sight."

Ares gave a small nod.

"Andrea."

Andrea stepped forward.

"You possess an unusual ability to understand the minds of others, and your strength becomes more dangerous the deeper you reach into an opponent’s consciousness."

Dark energy gathered around Ares.

"Your title shall be Nightmare Eater."

Andrea’s eyes narrowed with interest.

"And I will grant you the Dream Eater Authority."

A wave of dark energy immediately entered her body.

WHOOOM!

The surrounding air seemed to become heavier for an instant.

Andrea placed a hand against her chest.

"The power feels..."

She paused.

"Alive."

"It will allow you to enter dreams, consume hostile mental energy, interfere with the consciousness of your enemies, and convert certain forms of mental energy into your own strength."

Andrea smiled faintly.

"Then it suits me perfectly, Master."

She lowered her head.

"Great Eclipse, I accept both the title and the authority. I will make certain that anyone who attempts to threaten Eclipse learns to fear the darkness within their own minds."

Ares continued.

"Celeste."

Celeste stepped forward.

"You have always possessed exceptional control over ice magic, but your current abilities are still limited by the nature of ordinary elemental magic."

A cold mist began forming around Ares’s hand.

"That limitation ends today."

Celeste’s eyes widened.

"From this moment onward, you shall bear the title Frost Empress."

The temperature inside the chamber dropped.

"And I will entrust you with the Frost Wyrm Authority."

CRACK!

A wave of frost spread across the floor as the authority entered Celeste’s body.

The surrounding air became cold enough that faint crystals began forming along the edges of the stone.

"This authority will allow you to manipulate extreme cold on a completely different level. You will be capable of freezing matter, suppressing magical energy, creating massive structures of ice, and eventually freezing the movement of mana itself."

Celeste looked down at her hands.

"This power..."

She slowly raised her gaze.

"It is far beyond ordinary ice magic."

"Exactly."

Celeste lowered her head.

"I will master it, Great Eclipse. I will ensure that the power you have entrusted to me becomes worthy of its name."

Ares nodded.

Then his expression became slightly more serious.

"Aoda."

Aoda stepped forward.

For a moment, Ares simply looked at her.

Unlike the others, Aoda already knew why this moment mattered.

She had nearly died during the previous operation.

She had fought two enemies whose strength had been far greater than initially expected, and if Herrera had not arrived when she did, Aoda might not have returned to the headquarters at all.

Ares’s expression remained calm.

But his voice carried slightly more weight.

"You fought until you could no longer stand."

Aoda lowered her head.

"I failed to complete the mission."

"No."

Ares interrupted her.

"You did everything you can."

Aoda looked up.

"That’s what matters."

The chamber remained silent.

"You were placed against an enemy stronger than we anticipated. From now on, I don’t want a situation where one of my people is forced to choose between completing a mission and surviving it."

Aoda’s expression changed slightly.

Ares raised his hand.

"Your title shall be Black Raven."

Dark energy gathered around his palm.

"And I will entrust you with the Death Raven Authority."

BOOOOOOM!

A powerful surge of dark energy erupted through the chamber.

Aoda’s body was surrounded by black feathers formed entirely from magical energy. They spiraled around her before being absorbed into her body.

Her eyes widened.

Her senses expanded.

For a moment, everything around her became painfully clear.

She could hear the movement of mana throughout the chamber.

She could sense the slightest changes in the air.

Even the people standing dozens of meters away felt as though they were directly beside her.

Ares continued explaining.

"The Death Raven Authority will greatly increase your speed, perception, and physical abilities. You will also be able to create and control destructive raven constructs, manipulate black feathers as weapons, and sense the movement of living beings through their mana."

Aoda slowly clenched her fist.

The black energy surrounding her responded immediately.

"This power..."

She looked at Ares.

"It is much stronger than anything I possessed before."

"It is."

Aoda lowered herself into a deep kneel.

"Then I will use it properly."

Her voice was firm.

"Great Eclipse, thank you for giving me another opportunity. I will not allow myself to become a burden to Eclipse again."

Ares shook his head.

"You were never a burden."

Aoda’s eyes widened slightly.

"You simply encountered an opponent stronger than expected."

He paused.

"Now you have the strength to face such an opponent."

Aoda lowered her head.

"I understand."

Ares then turned toward the final two members.

"Nyxaria."

Nyxaria stepped forward.

"You specialize in movement, concealment, and attacks that do not need to follow ordinary paths."

A deep shadow gathered around Ares’s hand.

"Your title shall be Abyss Walker."

The darkness expanded.

"And your authority shall be the Abyssal Kraken Authority."

WHOOOOM!

The shadows beneath Nyxaria’s feet suddenly expanded before disappearing into her body.

"The authority will allow you to manipulate abyssal energy, create temporary spatial passages, conceal your presence, and move through areas where ordinary physical movement would be impossible. With sufficient mastery, you will be able to partially enter the boundary between the physical world and the abyss itself."

Nyxaria’s expression became serious.

"So I will be able to move beyond ordinary space."

"That is the idea."

Nyxaria lowered her head.

"Then I will master it."

She paused.

"Thank you, Great Eclipse."

Ares nodded.

Finally, he looked toward Valentine.

"Valentine."

She stepped forward.

"You have always been the one who stands between Eclipse and danger."

A steady energy gathered around Ares’s hand.

"Your title shall be Eternal Warden."

A powerful aura spread through the chamber.

"And you will receive the World Tree Stag Authority."

The authority flowed into Valentine.

A deep green-gold energy surrounded her body before gradually disappearing into her.

"The World Tree Stag Authority specializes in defense, endurance, and protection. You will be able to create powerful barriers, reinforce your body, restore your vitality, and protect those within your range."

Valentine remained silent as she felt the power settle inside her.

"There is another characteristic."

Ares looked directly at her.

"The longer you remain defending the same person or location, the stronger your defensive abilities will become."

Valentine slowly smiled.

"Then it is perfectly suited to me."

She lowered her head.

"Great Eclipse, I accept this authority and this title with gratitude. I will stand as the final barrier between Eclipse and anything that seeks to destroy it."

Ares nodded.

"That’s exactly what I expect."

The Seven Crowns stood together once more.

Seven titles.

Seven authorities.

Seven different paths of power.

Yet none of them had received their strength arbitrarily.

Ares had chosen each authority according to the person receiving it, ensuring that the power would complement their existing abilities rather than replace them.

The Seven Crowns were no longer simply seven powerful members of Eclipse.

They had become something greater.

And Aoda, in particular, understood that the authority she had received was more than a reward.

It was Ares’s answer to what had happened.
