Chapter 240: Mass vs Reflection 2

‎The moment Damon saw the countless blue lights shooting towards him, he didn’t even try to dodge it, and instead, he opened a mirror gate and appeared a few meters away from Ivis.

‎However, the moment Damon reappeared, Ivis turned to him with unnerving perception.

‎"Got you." the elven prince mouthed, and the next instant, Damon dropped to his knees out of the sheer mass his body had been given.

‎Fwoooooosh!

‎Ivis didn’t want to give Damon any time to reorient himself. He streaked towards the imposter like a lightning bolt, and arrived before him, his rapier falling towards at Damon’s neck with unnerving precision.

‎Ivis didn’t care if his attack would be stopped by the commentator, and he’ll be damned if he cared that his rapier actually beheaded this bastard.

‎However, just like always, Ivis’ rapier passed through Damon’s neck with no resistance. Damon though disoriented, had managed to slip into the mirror dimension before Ivis reached him.

‎Now in the safety of the mirror dimension, the increased mass of Damon’s body wore off, and his mass was back to its original unit.

‎"I have to admit." Damon said getting back on his feet. "That took me by surprise. To think an elf was capable of thinking that far, truly a wonder." He shook his head with a wry smile to the chagrin of the elven prince.

‎It was only after he got hit with the ’increased mass’ that he realized the massive attack was a feint... somewhat.

‎While the attack was real, seeing as it devastated their surroundings and annihilating everything in its way, it was preplanned to fail. That is, the elven prince banked on the fact that Damon would dodge the attack so that he could catch him off guard with a move he hadn’t used before.

‎Ivis used his Zeta ability, and increased Damon’s mass, making him too heavy to even move.

‎Meanwhile, Ivis was currently trying to use his ability on Damon. He had heard from Mayura that she couldn’t use her ability on this bastard once he entered that strange space he was in, and now it seemed such was the case for himself.

‎’My odds are getting lower.’ Ivis frowned as he straightened his form, before speaking to Damon.

‎"For a human to push me this far, is frankly quite surprising." He Ivis muttered darkly as a platinum aura began rising from his body.

‎"And for an elf to think they can defeat me, is frankly, quite insulting." Damon replied with a smile as a silver aura also burst out from his body.

"LOW BLOW, IMPOSTER, LOW BLOW!" As if the words of the commentator was all they needed to hear, both vanished at the same time clashing multiple times in a split second.

Their silhouettes, moving far beyond what was thought possible for those of their ranks. Even the cameras broadcasting to Nahaar failed to capture the speeds at which they crossed vast distances in less than the time it took for an eye to blink. Before they knew it, they had already crossed into a massive forest.

‎‎A shower of sparks exploded outwards as steel met steel, rapier met the dagger Damon had summoned from nowhere. Debris, dust, and raw pressure exploded in every direction, tearing through the surrounding like a wave of destruction.

In mere seconds, the entire forest they had just crossed into, spanning over a hundred kilometers, was reduced to desolation. The land lay in ruins, with several laceration marcs carved across it, and thousands of holes.

The two both exploded backwards, but then with a sudden burst of motion, so swift it seemed like outright teleportation, Ivis appeared before Damon. In a single, straight attack, his rapier was thrusted towards Damon’s heart, the movement so seamless it felt less like an attack and more like a natural extension of his existence.

<Whispering leaf: Wilting willow>

The tip of Ivis’ blade, glinting with an eerie blue sheen, howled through the air as it pierced it’s path towards Damon’s heart. But Damon expertly raised his dagger, and angled it in such a way that the rapier would be parried.

However, just as the rapier and the dagger were on the verge of colliding, Ivis shifted his body, realigning his center of gravity. in that instant, his rapier shifted it’s target, veering suddenly from Damon’s heart to his neck.

But Damon wasn’t the unruly prince and the holder of an omega ranked physique for nothing. He reacted instantly, effortlessly shifting his body to the side, and precisely striking a pressure point on Ivis’ arm, making the elven prince involuntarily let go of his rapier.

Damon didn’t give the elven prince any chance to be shocked about what just happened. He clenched his fist, and gave a brutal hook to the side of Ivis’ head.

The entire world tilted from Ivis’ point of view as his head violently tilted to the side, before smashing in the ground, embedding his into the ground.

Thwack!

Damon unforgivingly stepped on Ivis’ head as he caught the elven prince’s rapier, then proceeded to swing it around.

"What a nice blade, hmm, I’ll keep it as a souvenir." Damon muttered.

"You... bastard." Ivis’ muffled voice sounded out in Damon’s ears. His voice sounded funny due to the fact that half his head was in the ground.

"What? don’t you want to give it to me? Too bad it’s already mind." Damon shrugged while subtly applying pressure on Ivis’ head.

However, at that moment, Damon felt his body growing lighter. He instantly realized without a doubt that Ivis was trying to use his ability on him, but Damon didn’t want to drag the fight on meaninglessly, so he mercilessly stomped his leg down.

"Stay... the... fuck... down... already...." Damon said stomping on the elven prince’s head between each word. Sure enough, the stepping disoriented Ivis enough that the boy was no longer trying to use his ability on Damon, or perhaps he simply couldn’t.

"OOOOOH, WHERE WOULD THE ELVEN PRINCE PUT HIS FACE AFTER THIS?!" The commentator drawled. "IF HE STILL HAS A FACE THAT IS!"

Meanwhile amongst the audience, people were voicing out their concerns.

"Isn’t he going too far?"

"This should be stopped, he’s completely humiliating him."

"There is no rule against that."

"But still, why continue to step on his head?"

"I don’t see what’s wrong with stepping in his head though."

Some mothers even covered the eyes of their young children, not wanting them to see what was being done.

Of course the people mostly reacting badly to Damon stepping in Ivis’ head were the elves. The members of the other races watched in glee and excitement. The humans on the other hand, were outright jovial.

The scene on the platform where the participants were seated however, was particularly solemn. Every youth watched the fight between Damon and Ivis with keen attention, not wanting to miss the slightest detail.

Only Mayura and the few other elves in the platform had a glum look on their faces.

’This was an extremely bad matchup for you brother.’ Mayura thought silently. The human could phase through any of Ivis’ attack, and become outright immune to Ivis’ mass manipulation. What else was Ivis supposed to do? Moreover, I’m the human was a rank above her brother.

Mayura then turned to her inner self. ’If I was the one, would I be able to beat him?’ She thought. And though an answer never came, deep down, Mayura knew it was a cold hard NO.

’It seems the elven race will not be winning the convergence this year.’ She accepted fate. If it wasn’t this human winning, then it was that demon. Now, more than anything, Mayura was curious to see the fight between those two.

Back down in the arena.

Damon continued to stare at the downed Ivis, before a low growl sounded from the boy’s mouth. "Get... the... fuck... off... of... me!"

"Well then here’s my reply." Damon grinned. "Shut... the... fuck... up..." Damon replied stepping on Ivis’ head between each word once again.

"You know what I don’t like among you elves the most?" Damon asked. "You guys are absurdly racist, and seem to think you are the most superior rave and all, hahahaha, how delusional."

"With suck a ’weak’ future emperor getting trampled beneath my feet, how are you superior?" Damon asked with a wide smile before suddenly composing himself.

"It seems I got carried away a little bit." he muttered loud enough for everyone to hear. "Where was I again? Yeah right, DIE!"

Damon thrusted the rapier I his hand at the side of Ivis’ head, however, just as the tip of the rapier was half an inch from. Ivis’ head, a hand suddenly caught Damon’s hand in place, and in the next instant,

"THE IMPOSTER AMONG US WINS!!!!"
