He shook his head and said, "Not that they could be blamed. After all, someone like me is not supposed to exist. The Dao Lords have made sure of that."

"But enough of bullying rank 8 cultivators. I wonder how a fallen Dao Lord without a body will fare against me."

He was thinking about this and many other things until he reached his destination above the river of death. He had to stop thinking about other things and focus on the river of death because memories of his experience with the river of death forced him to concentrate.

He took a few seconds to prepare his mind. Then he fell into the black and corrosive water of the river of death.

In order to allow Time Traveler to easily spot him, he deactivated the Obscuring Mist Metac and the Invisibility Cloak Metac. But this also allowed the river water to get closer to his skin.

As the river of death leeched life away from him, he shivered a little bit. The water itself was freezing cold, but that wasn’t the reason he shivered.

He thought bitterly, "It is as unpleasant as I remembered. The river of death is truly no place to live or visit."

The experience was worse than the loss of lifespan and law fragments. There was also psychological pressure and side effects.

For example, he felt as if a shadow of death had clouded his heart and that he was being embraced by death. He could have called this his imagination if his Divine Spark was not slowly darkening as if something was shrouding its light.

Even so, he didn’t stop his descent into the river of death. He had a goal in mind, and he wasn’t willing to give up so easily.

In the Cave Heaven, Time Walker saw someone roaming around in the black water. What he saw took him by surprise.

His voice was raised as he said, "Is that a dragon? What’s a dragon doing in the Blessed Heaven World? I thought every dragon had been killed?"

Then he frowned and said, "Could this be a trap? Could someone be using the dragon to lure me into exposing myself? After all, how did it know to come here? I don’t dare to believe that it came here by mistake."

When he thought long and hard about this possibility, he shook his head and said, "Even if it is a trap, it cannot be made by that evil dragon. He hates dragons too much. He would rather kill a dragon than use one as bait."

"Besides, my two reincarnation options are doing well. There is a matter with the unknown Future Self Metac that suddenly appeared, but aside from that, my reincarnation plans are doing well. None of my options seemed to be exposed just yet. So I should have nothing to worry about."

He thought that his points were reasonable, so he decided to allow the dragon to enter his Cave Heaven. With a thought from him, the space of his Cave Heaven extended and overlapped with the position of the dragon. This allowed the dragon to pop into his Cave Heaven.

As the dragon entered the Cave Heaven, its eyes roamed the whole place. Then its eyes settled on Time Traveler. And as soon as the dragon saw him, it smiled.

Time Traveler didn’t see a hint of surprise in the dragon’s gaze. He didn’t think this was a good thing.

Actually, he felt that the situation was bad because of that smile. The smile on the dragon’s face made him feel as if something was wrong.

But he didn’t know what could be wrong, so he said, "Who are you and what do you want?"

It should be the guest asking him who he was, not the other way around. However, he had to ask that question because the guest was not behaving like a guest.

In response, Loki said, "I have some questions. I hope you can answer them."

Time Traveler relaxed a little bit when he heard this. It was only a little bit because while he could answer any question, he felt that this guest was still dangerous.

To be certain of his safety, he said, "I can answer any question you have in exchange for my lifespan. But you must do something for me first. You must swear two oaths."
