The Most Arbitrary Wizard

Chapter 210 - 119: "He’s Very Handsome

Sean changed the subject, asking, "How are things on your end? Have you seen your sister?"

"Not yet," Elvire replied. "But I did see Robes."

Sean: "Huh?"

Elvire: "And Klintor. They’re both locked up in my family’s dungeon."

Sean felt it was a bit of a shame. "So the Florist Family hasn’t been wiped out yet."

"It might as well be," Elvire said. "The Florist Family will no longer exist in this world."

The only reason they weren’t being killed now was because the family had questions for them. That didn’t mean they wouldn’t be killed later.

Her family had already sent people to take over the Florist Family’s territory and businesses. After tonight, the Empire would have one less Viscount and one more prisoner.

"There’s something I’ve been wondering," Sean said. "Your family is making such a huge move. Aren’t you afraid of being held accountable by the Church Court afterward?"

The Empire was the Church Court’s Empire. No matter how much the Blazing Angel Family tried to suppress the news, it was impossible to hide it from the Church Court.

"I don’t know either..." Elvire was also quite confused about this, but her sister wasn’t with the family at the moment, so she had no one to ask.

To her, the Blazing Angel Family was now full of strangers; she didn’t know a single soul. Elvire couldn’t even be sure if the Clan Leader everyone spoke of was actually her sister. She had so many questions, but no one to answer them. She didn’t know anyone, and no one knew her. If not for the fact that her bloodline and Secret Technique were impossible to fake, she might not have even been able to get through the gates of the Blazing Angel Family.

That was why Elvire had been missing Sean these past few days.

She was clearly home, yet she couldn’t feel any of its former warmth. This feeling of being somewhere both familiar and strange made her feel like a kitten forgotten by the world, exceptionally lonely.

...No, that’s not right. She wasn’t lonely.

And she didn’t miss Sean *that* much.

She was just bored and thought of him for a second, that’s all.

"Just say it. You want my help with something, don’t you?" Elvire asked.

"Miss Flame Crow, listen to me," Sean said earnestly. "It’s not good for a girl to be too smart."

"So I guessed right?" Elvire huffed lightly. "I knew you were up to something."

Sean tried to argue back with a classic line: "So I can’t call you just to chat?"

But Elvire shut him down with a single sentence: "You can, but if you were just chatting, you wouldn’t be acting like this."

"Think about it. Have you ever explained yourself to me before?"

Last time, when he asked the Witch for help with Alchemy, she had been so angry she ignored him for days, yet Sean never tried to placate her. This time, she only complained a little, and Sean immediately explained that he was just too busy to contact her. Was this really the same guy who only knew how to piss her off?

His behavior was too abnormal. For him to be so patient with her all of a sudden? Something was definitely up.

Sean: "..."

’Why did he suddenly feel like his little sister-in-law had him all figured out?’

"If you have something to say, say it fast. I’m about to take a shower," Elvire said.

Seeing that his little trick of starting with casual conversation had been seen through, Sean dropped the act. "I want to borrow your family’s name for a bit," he said bluntly.

Elvire immediately became wary. "What kind of trouble are you planning to cause now?"

"Steal a painting." Sean didn’t hide the truth from her.

’In the fictional "New World," only Elvire, Sopea, and Kate were his real teammates. Everyone else was just intelligence and "data."’

"Whose painting?"

"Mr. Blake’s."

Sean said, "It was supposedly painted by the First Saintess, Olivia. It can help Wizards below Tier Seven deepen their Meditation."

Hearing the name "Olivia," Elvire frowned unconsciously. She didn’t like this woman who was trying to steal a man from her sister. Still, she tried to ask Sean calmly, "How do you want me to help? Is there time for me to catch a plane over?"

"No, no need," Sean said. "You just need to use your family’s name to give the ball’s host, the Little Gista Family, a heads-up and have them let me in."

Elvire was confused. "A ball?"

Sean nodded. "The painting will be exhibited at a ball the day after tomorrow."

"What a strange way to do things." Elvire didn’t understand the connection between a ball and an art exhibition, but she didn’t press the issue. Her focus was on Sean. "You’re planning to make your move while the painting is on display?"

Sean: "Right."

It was a good thing this wasn’t reality, or Elvire would be lecturing him again. She complained, "Why do you always have to make such a scene?"

Even though she wasn’t in Old Mundo City and didn’t know the specifics of the ball, she knew there were many ways to steal a painting. Making a move in public was definitely the most reckless one.

Luckily, this wasn’t her first time dealing with Sean, and she was getting used to his style. She hesitated for a moment, then sighed. ’Oh, whatever,’ she thought. ’Let him make a scene. It’s not like he can die anyway.’

"What was that family’s name again? Tell me one more time, and I’ll have someone contact them," Elvire said.

Even though no one in the family recognized her anymore, as a direct descendant who possessed the Blazing Angel Secret Technique, she still had that much authority.

"Little Gista, a Baron Family," Sean said, while thinking to himself, ’If there’s a "Little" Gista, does that mean there’s a "Big" Gista too? Whether it’s for people or families, don’t they only use "big" and "little" to distinguish between two with the same name?’

Seeing Elvire was willing to help, Sean thought the matter was settled. Unexpectedly, the girl suddenly realized something.

"Wait, that’s not right."

Elvire said, a little slow on the uptake, "You’re using my family’s name to stir up trouble. If something goes wrong, won’t they come looking for the Blazing Angel Family to settle the score?"

Sean chided her with a doting tone, "Listen to you. What’s our relationship? I’m all yours, so is there really a ’your family’ and ’my family’?"

Elvire: "..."

’Why is this guy pulling this stunt again?’

’What does he mean, he’s "all hers"?’

Always using this "we’re one family" line... Elvire couldn’t help but feel a little annoyed.

Because she was a total sucker for it.

"Don’t let it happen again!"

She warned Sean, her cheeks slightly flushed, "This time it’s just a Baron Family, so make a scene if you must. But don’t go provoking a Duke, or even I won’t be able to help you."

"Don’t worry, I’ll only use the Blazing Angel Family’s identity to get in. I won’t when I make my move," Sean said.

’He was stealing the painting on behalf of Carl Black. When he acted, he would be representing Carl Black and Blake City.’

"Fine, just know your limits," Elvire instructed. "Don’t mess up. The mental trauma is no joke."

Sean: "Oh? Is Miss Flame Crow worried about me?"

"BEEP... BEEP... BEEP..."

Elvire had hung up on him.

’Who would be worried about a bastard who only knows how to piss people off?’

Sean listened to the dial tone and couldn’t help but chuckle. He found that he understood his past self less and less. How could he have possibly overlooked such an adorable sister-in-law?

Sean glanced at the time. It was just before eleven at night.

Elvire’s efficiency was as high as ever. Barely half an hour later, the person in charge of the ball received a call from his own Clan Leader.

"Clan Leader, it’s so late. Is something urgent?" the organizer asked.

"Very urgent," the Clan Leader said in a serious tone. "The Blazing Angel Family will be attending the ball the day after tomorrow. You must represent our family and host them well."

The organizer was shocked. "What? The Blazing Angel Family is coming?"

"They’re not ’coming,’ they’re already here," said the Clan Leader. "They were passing through Old Mundo City and heard that the First Saintess’s painting would be on display at the ball. They’re very interested, but since they don’t have an invitation, they specifically called me."

"Understood." The organizer immediately grew serious. He had already been in bed, but upon hearing the name "Blazing Angel," he was wide awake. He sat bolt upright and said, "Please rest assured, Clan Leader. I will be sure to leave them with a perfect impression on behalf of our family!"

There were countless rungs on the social ladder between a Baron and a Grand Duke. The two would normally never interact—one wouldn’t have the time, the other wouldn’t be worthy. Now that he had this rare opportunity to come into contact with one of the Empire’s truly top-tier noble families, he would certainly do everything in his power to make sure they remembered the Little Gista Family’s name.

Seeing he was so perceptive, the Clan Leader was very pleased. "I’ve always had high hopes for you. I hope you won’t disappoint me this time either."

"Thank you for your trust, Clan Leader." The organizer paused, then added, "By the way, Clan Leader, do you know their names?"

"Sean Nix Seraphina," the Clan Leader said.

The organizer: "And his appearance?"

He needed to know the name and appearance to be able to greet them properly.

But this question stumped the Clan Leader.

Because he had asked the person on the phone the same question.

The Clan Leader thought for a long time but ultimately couldn’t picture what Sean looked like. So, after a moment of silence, he repeated the description he had been given—

"He’s very handsome."

The organizer: "?"
