But even if he hadn’t said anything, Eleanor could have guessed.
After all, Tony and the others had been at the bar the night before last. They probably hadn’t had enough fun and went again yesterday.
’Men are all like that, aren’t they?’
In reality, however, Sean and Eleanor had completely misunderstood Tony and his group.
They had returned to the hotel last night, they just woke up much earlier than Sean and Eleanor.
The "Two-Way Scam," which sounded thrilling just by its name, was set to happen today, and they needed to prepare early.
This included, but was not limited to, their attire, aristocratic makeup, and mature, sexy hairstyles.
In the Empire, the higher a noble’s status, the more they cared about their image. A misstep wouldn’t just mean losing their own face, but the face of their family. To successfully impersonate members of the Blazing Angel Family, their appearance and demeanor had to be flawless. That was why they had woken up at 4 a.m.
With Teacher Tony personally taking the lead, he gave each of them a hairstyle that screamed "expensive."
Styling hair is a time-consuming affair.
By the time all four heads were done, it was already six in the morning. They changed into tracksuits and went out for a morning run.
This was to adjust their mental state and make them appear more energetic.
At seven, the four of them found a breakfast spot to eat before heading west, straight for the downtown pedestrian street.
The mall opened at nine, and they were the first customers inside. Each of them picked out an expensive formal outfit.
Details determine success or failure. After buying the outfits, they didn’t put them on immediately. Instead, they went to a tailor shop they had made an appointment with the day before and had the proprietress embroider a firebird bathed in flames onto them—the family crest of the Blazing Angel Family.
By the time this series of tasks was complete, it was already noon.
"Alright, everything is ready!"
Tony said confidently, his gaze locked on Eve Mansion. "Now, it’s time for our performance."
Kave said, "To be honest, I’m a little nervous."
He had a feeling the Little Gista Family couldn’t possibly be stupid enough to mistake the identity of esteemed guests from the Blazing Angel Family.
"What’s there to be afraid of? Worst case, we run," Tony said. He had the fire escape map of Eve Mansion memorized so perfectly that even the mansion’s employees probably didn’t know the locations of the emergency exits on each floor as well as he did.
Besides, Tony believed this Plan B for escaping probably wouldn’t be necessary. He truly felt his plan was perfect, and that enemies were often not as smart as one imagined.
"So, should we grab a bite and then head over?" Johnson asked.
"Why eat now? Let’s get into the mansion first," Tony said. "Won’t a noble’s lunch be better than anything we could get out here?"
Johnson thought for a moment. "Good point."
"Let’s go. Get in the car!"
Tony pulled open the passenger side door and got in first.
Kave was still the one driving.
But the car was not the same one as before.
They had specifically spent a fortune to rent a stretch limousine. It turned heads all along the way, fully displaying the extravagant style of the aristocracy.
And when they arrived at the entrance of Eve Mansion, the four of them went full-throttle with their aura as they got out of the car.
One by one, they emerged from the vehicle. The first thing they did wasn’t to close the door, but to adjust their collars. Then they glanced at the equally rented watches on their wrists, scanned their surroundings, and strode purposefully toward the mansion.
This grand display and powerful presence intimidated the security guard at the entrance.
He felt that Tony looked a little familiar, but for a moment he couldn’t recall where he had seen him.
He could only ask tentatively, "Gentlemen, what can I do for you...?"
Tony interrupted him coolly, "I called your family the day before yesterday."
The guard was instantly alarmed upon hearing this.
Though he wasn’t a true member of the Little Gista Family—just an employee—he remembered his supervisor specifically emphasizing in yesterday’s meeting that esteemed guests would be arriving today and must not be slighted. He hurriedly said, "My lords, please wait a moment. I will go and announce your arrival."
Ryan also gave a faint nod. "Go, and be quick about it. We’ve been traveling all day and are a bit tired."
"Yes, yes!" The guard ran into the mansion at top speed.
Seeing the two of them putting on such a convincing act, Johnson couldn’t help but roast them in his head. ’It’s a real shame these two aren’t in movies. They’re natural-born drama kings.’
Kave, however, said nothing, simply standing behind Tony and Ryan with a blank expression.
His role was the "driver," so all he had to do was remain silent the entire time.
Soon, a man in a suit walked over quickly, his face wreathed in a pleasantly surprised smile.
"My apologies, my lords, for the wait. I didn’t expect you to arrive so early."
He bowed respectfully to Tony and the others and introduced himself. "I am Agivis Gista, one of the managers of Eve Mansion. You may simply call me Xiao Ta, my lords."
When had the security guards ever seen their own leader act so subservient? They exchanged glances and quickly made themselves scarce.
Tony gave a slight nod and said with a smile, "Punctuality is my motto. And as guests, it is we who should not keep our host waiting. You are too kind, Mr. Agivis."
Say what you will, but his tone and cadence really did sound like those of a polite and refined nobleman.
Agivis was flattered to hear this. He hadn’t expected Tony and his group to be so approachable. ’No wonder they’re friends with the Duke Family,’ he thought.
"This way, my lords. Please follow me."
Agivis led the way.
As they stepped onto the luxurious, gleaming staircase, Tony shot Kave a look that said, ’See? I told you they weren’t that smart.’
They didn’t even ask a single question about their identities.
Of course, it was also possible their acting was just too realistic, and they had won over the manager with their sheer presence.
Agivis was likely taking them to the VIP lounge. Thinking that the real Blazing Angel Family could arrive at any moment, Tony decided to stick to the plan. He said to Kave and Johnson, "Let’s not trouble Mr. Agivis with our own affairs. You two go wait at the entrance. When Miss Catherine arrives, bring them up."
