"My ladies, his name is Sean."
"The name is Sean."
Robert seemed afraid the two ladies hadn't heard him clearly, so he made a point of emphasizing the name.
The Eleanor Sisters: "..."
'So the vicious criminal who murdered people and robbed a bank is... Mr. Blake?'
On the way here, they'd been thinking about quickly resolving the Florist Family's business so they could enlist their help to find someone.
Well, this was just perfect. No need to search anymore.
Elise decided to take back what she had just been thinking.
'When other people murder and commit arson, they're definitely guilty and no good.'
'But if Sean murdered and committed arson... he must have had his own reasons, a profound motive!'
'Although she couldn't think of what those reasons were for the time being, it didn't matter—she still completely understood how Sean must have felt!'
'In her opinion, it was highly likely that those people had pushed him too far, and Sean, unable to take it anymore, had simply taught them a lesson. Otherwise, how could someone as handsome and elegant as Mr. Blake possibly do something like rob a bank?'
To confirm it wasn't just someone with the same name, Elise made sure to ask, "What Tier is he?"
"Previous intelligence indicated he was Tier One," Robert replied. "But judging from the traces of Magic Power he left behind at the hotel, he has already reached Tier Five. He must have mastered some kind of Secret Technique that allows him to drastically increase his Power in a short time. And according to information we've obtained from the Void Technique Space, there happens to be a Book of Ancient Language that does just that on the third floor of the Holy Sanctuary."
"Therefore, I deduce that his Basic Magic Power should be somewhere between Tier Three and Tier Four."
It had to be said, the old fox was clever.
He'd never even met Sean in person, yet his guesses were almost spot-on. Other than the matter of his identity, he was right about nearly everything.
Upon hearing this, Elise's beautiful eyes couldn't help but light up with a trace of excitement.
'Between Tier Three and Tier Four... It all matches up!'
'The name is right, and the Tier is right. This Sean must be the one they're looking for.'
Eleanor quickly shot her a look to stop her. 'Compose yourself!'
'Although she, too, was a little happy. She hadn't expected Sean to be so easy to find, and now they would be able to see each other again soon.'
'But they couldn't let it show.'
At this moment, they were still the Grand Mages hired by the Florist Family.
So Eleanor said coolly, "From Mr. Robert's description, this man is very bold. I was expecting someone formidable, but he's just a Tier Three or Tier Four... For this kind of Little Wizard, was it really necessary for us to come all this way?"
If it had been anyone else, they might have confidently declared that the sisters' help wasn't needed and that they could handle it themselves. After all, with three thousand Witch Hunters on board, their advantage was enormous, and they would have every right to be so confident.
It would also be a chance to make a good impression on the sisters. In the Wizarding World, every Grand Mage was a true noble of the Empire. They often represented not just themselves, but also a great family holding at least the title of Viscount.
By getting on the sisters' good side and making themselves known, they might be able to use that connection in the future.
Just imagine: the Florist Family had specially hired the sisters, undoubtedly for a hefty sum. If they could let the sisters get paid without having to lift a finger, providing them with a perfect experience, wouldn't the two be pleased?
They would surely be willing to help again next time.
But Robert didn't think that way.
'I can't just waste this money. That would be a huge loss, wouldn't it?'
Another, more important reason was that they "couldn't afford to lose" again.
Why else would he mobilize such a massive force, knowing full well that Sean was only a Tier Three or Four, and that even with helpers like the Flame Crow, their group numbered less than ten?
Wasn't it to ensure a foolproof victory?
Back in the Black Fruit Rainforest, they had already lost a squad of Witch Hunters and dozens of expensive Smell Crows.
Later, in Holkaydo, the hospital the family had operated for years was destroyed, and Quill was killed by Sean.
Then in New Elderidge, Sean robbed their family's bank and killed Zajik...
All told, the Florist Family had already been bested by Sean three times.
Once could be attributed to faulty intelligence.
Twice could be their own error.
But three times in a row was no longer a question of error—it would make the Church Court believe the Florist Family was incompetent.
The Florist Family's performance had already been poor these past few years, with the Flame Crow rescuing people left and right. Now, the end of the year was approaching. If they couldn't even capture someone as insignificant as Sean, then Siracle State might just get a new master. Furthermore, all their plans—their years of service to the Church Court, their hopes of securing the legacy of the Puppet Path and a higher noble title—would all be for nothing.
Therefore, they absolutely could not afford another failure.
This was likely one of the reasons the family was willing to pay such a steep price to have two Grand Mages come and deal with Sean personally.
Robert's aged face became completely serious. "To be frank with you, my ladies, that boy is extremely cunning. Not only does he have a Secret Technique for temporary Breakthroughs, but the Magic he uses is also bizarre. Relying on numbers alone, we may not be able to capture him."
"Oh?" Eleanor feigned ignorance. "Then what are you suggesting, Mr. Robert?"
Robert bowed respectfully to Eleanor. "My lady," he said, "you are a Grand Mage. Dealing with a Low-tier Wizard like Sean is child's play for you. As long as you deign to act, he won't be able to escape your grasp even if he grows wings. To ensure our success, we still hope that you will do the Florist Family this favor."
