The Most Arbitrary Wizard

Chapter 320 - 158: "Lady of the House

They didn’t find any tools or traces related to Corpse Refining inside Florist Castle, either.

The Florist Family had no idea they were doomed that night. That afternoon, when he had used a Witch Potion to disguise himself as Robert and infiltrate the castle, the Witch Hunters had still been completely respectful. It wasn’t until one of Robert’s confidants returned that evening that they finally realized something was wrong with him.

So, Sean dropped the act.

And made his move.

The outcome was never in doubt.

Sopea had "visited" the neighbors beforehand, giving them a free night of exceptionally high-quality sleep.

Combined with the Magic Barrier the Eleanor Sisters had set up together, Florist Castle looked as peaceful and serene as ever from the outside that night.

The entire process could be described as Silent.

It wasn’t as if the police patrolled this area anyway—the Florist Family had no need for their protection. But even if they had come and stood right at the gates of Florist Castle, they wouldn’t have noticed a thing.

After cleaning up the disobedient Witch Hunters, they started moving things out.

That was when they discovered the morgue.

The absence of Corpse Refining tools suggested the Florist Family hadn’t stooped quite that low—at least not yet. And unlike the previous hospital attack, the Witch Hunters in the castle couldn’t have known whether tomorrow would bring death or disaster, so they would have had no reason to move the bodies in advance. This meant that the person who truly needed this batch of corpses was someone else.

The Florist Family was just a waystation, responsible for collecting corpses and delivering them on a regular basis.

As for what was being done with these bodies...

No one knew.

On the surface, who else would collect corpses besides a necrophiliac?

"Ugh, Teacher, please stop." Yisha’s mind must have conjured up something, because she broke out in goosebumps. ’So gross, so gross!’

"Exactly. We’re supposed to be dividing the spoils right now. Don’t ruin the mood." Koni, who rarely spoke directly to Sean, said. While feigning disgust, she was secretly observing his reaction. The arrival of the Eleanor Sisters had made her realize that Mr. Blake was actually quite approachable. She wanted to work up the courage to try interacting with Sean in a more casual way, too.

In truth, she didn’t need to try.

Sean had always been a gentle person, very considerate of a girl’s feelings.

Seeing the two girls were sensitive to the topic, he quickly said with a smile, "Alright, alright. We’ll drop it. Let’s get back to divvying up the loot."

"I’m sick," Lante said suddenly.

Everyone: "?"

This was the first time in months Lante had spoken up on his own initiative.

Hailing from an ancient Knight Family, he lived by a creed of elegance and courtesy and never interjected casually. But this time, he had to speak up for himself, and his opening words were a bombshell.

’What do you mean, you’re sick?’

’Dropping a line like that out of nowhere... I think you really *are* sick!’

The others grumbled inwardly.

Lante coughed twice and said, "What I mean is, I want the potions."

He didn’t want any of the other things—the jewelry, the priceless antiques, the sacks of cash. All he wanted was his share of the Magic Potions.

Their haul from the Florist Castle trip was truly substantial.

Especially since someone had delivered a fresh batch of new Alchemy Materials that very afternoon. It was basically a buy-one-get-one-free deal.

All told, the loot was worth several billion, at the very least.

In reality, the most valuable assets were the castle itself and the land it was built on.

A shame they couldn’t take it with them.

Elise said teasingly, "Mr. Witch certainly knows what to pick. All these Magic Potions aren’t any cheaper than the jewelry, you know."

Lante quickly explained, "You don’t have to give them all to me. Just one of each type is enough."

"You want to study the formulas?" Sean asked.

Lante nodded. "There are some Magic Potions in there I’ve never seen before. They smell poisonous."

"I hope they really are poisonous."

Sean: "How so?"

Lante: "That way, there’ll be another kind of poison for Mr. Sean to drink!"

Everyone: "?"

Sean: "..."

’Does that mean my body can be strengthened even further?’

’Doesn’t that mean I can have another breakthrough?’

Sean immediately cupped his fist at Lante in a solemn gesture. "Then I shall be in your debt, Mr. Witch. Please, by all means, bring on the poison!"

Everyone: "Huh?"

Some people there were still unaware that Sean had previously consumed High-Potency Magic Potions.

Koni, for example.

And Eleanor and Elise.

The two sisters were momentarily dumbfounded.

’There are people who actually like drinking poison?’

’He might be Mr. Blake, but that stuff is poisonous...’

"Will he really be alright?" Eleanor asked, a little worried.

"Oh, don’t worry, Maid Sisters." Without waiting for Sean to explain, Yisha puffed out her chest proudly. "My teacher is incredible. He used to drink poison every day. Not only was he fine, he even had a breakthrough because of it."

The Eleanor Sisters: "???"

’A breakthrough from drinking poison?’

’So this is the legendary Mr. Blake?’

Sean wanted to interject that the poison was just for testing his body’s limits; what actually caused the breakthrough was the High-Potency Magic Potion Lante had specially created for him. But then he thought... ’Ah, forget it. It’s too much trouble to explain. I’m Mr. Blake, after all. A breakthrough from drinking anything is probably considered normal for me.’

Facing the Eleanor Sisters’ gazes—a mixture of awe and bewilderment—he gave a haughty snort and went back to organizing the group to sort and divide the loot. It was a massive undertaking. They had filled several large storage warehouses in Alola Town to the brim, and it would take at least a day or two to inventory everything.

But no one was complaining about the work.

In fact, the more stuff there was, the more satisfied they felt.

Who doesn’t love zero-dollar shopping?

Even Sean, who was usually a total slacker, was enjoying himself.

’Isn’t this way faster than scrounging for resources on my own?’

"Look at this bracelet. Obsidian. Isn’t it beautiful? Seems like it can store Magic Power, too..." Sean said admiringly, casually picking up a bracelet. Then, with a suave flick of his wrist, he tossed it to Elise. "It’s yours."
