The System Keeps Making Me Do Indecent Missions [BL, R18]
Chapter 101: Wounds (2)Chapter 101: Chapter 101: Wounds (2)
However, Hannah was not the type to concede defeat so easily. In the height of her ultimate humiliation, she cast aside all her idol image, discarding the gentle facade she had painstakingly maintained for so long. She let out a manic shriek, and with her neatly manicured nails painted in nude pink, she lunged forward, scratching directly into Lucien’s outstretched left arm.
A piercing pain shot up his arm. The long, skin-tearing scratches oozed blood, vividly crimson against his pale skin. Hannah had scratched so fiercely that even a portion of her own nails broke off.
Lucien naturally could have dodged, but he deliberately let this maddened woman claw at him. He even intentionally let his hand bump against the edge of the marble sink, creating an additional swollen bruise on his wrist.
There had to be clear, visible wounds like this so that later on, the guilt within Dominic’s heart would grow day by day, until Dominic could no longer pull himself away.
"Satisfied?" Lucien asked, his voice remaining even, though this time it carried a trace of genuine exhaustion. Blood flowed down his arm, dripping in dark red drops onto the white tiled floor.
Hannah backed away, her chest heaving as she panted, staring at the injury she had just inflicted. The anger dissipated, replaced by panic as she realized what she had just done. She had just assaulted someone. An idol had just assaulted someone. If this got out...
"You... you did this on purpose..."
"That is right." Lucien smiled: "Now you can go back and report to Miles that you just beat me up on his behalf. But... the price you have to pay will not be a light one either."
Hannah did not utter another word. She hastily fixed her hair, turned around, and pushed the door open to run outside. The frantic clicking of her high heels echoed and then faded away at the end of the corridor. Before the door shut completely, Lucien managed to catch a glimpse of her hands trembling violently as she dialed someone’s number.
Lucien remained alone in the restroom. He looked at his bleeding arm, the corners of his lips slowly curling up. The wound was not too deep, but the amount of blood seeping out was not insignificant.
"Hey, it seems like I am bleeding quite a bit." Lucien muttered softly in his mind.
System 000 appeared very quickly: [I already told you, your body is failing to merge with your soul, all of these are merely side effects.]
"To be honest, I have never seen a system as useless as you, 000."
[Please refrain from personally attacking your system, Host.]
"Oh, you are not even considered a human being, 000."
Lucien tore off a few paper towels, temporarily pressing them tightly against the scratches, then straightened his clothes, pulling down the sleeve of his cardigan to conceal the injury. He returned to the supermarket and calmly paid for the groceries in his cart. The cashier looked at the stain on his shirt with a curious gaze, but Lucien simply gave a soft smile: "I am fine, just a little clumsy."
By the time he returned to the villa, the sun was already casting its shadows toward the west. Lucien entered the house, changed out of his soiled clothes, and picked out a long-sleeved white dress shirt, buttoning the cuffs tightly to hide the wound before tying on an apron to start cooking.
The salmon was marinated with dill, lemon, and sea salt, pan-seared until the skin turned a crispy golden brown. Asparagus wrapped in bacon was arranged neatly on the baking tray. The pot of pumpkin soup was steaming, its warm orange hue blending with the rich aroma of fresh cream. The spacious kitchen was swiftly enveloped in the mouth-watering fragrance of food.
Yet, from time to time, the sharp sting from his left arm forced him to pause, a slight frown creasing his forehead. The makeshift paper bandage had soaked through with red, blood seeping right through the shirt sleeve. Lucien knew he should change the dressing before Dominic returned. But he deliberately chose not to, wasn’t this entire pitiful display intentionally set up for Dominic to witness?
The sound of the front door opening occurred earlier than usual, making Lucien startle slightly and raise an eyebrow. However, he feigned ignorance, acting as though he had not noticed someone had just come home. He deliberately adjusted his facial expression a fraction, clearly showing his exhaustion, while his hands continued to nimbly prepare the afternoon meal.
At this moment, the sound of footsteps echoing in the living room grew increasingly distinct. Lucien pretended to be startled, hurriedly setting down the items in his hands; he quickly washed his hands and trotted out to the kitchen entrance.
"You are home so early?" He smiled until his eyes curved into crescents, deliberately pretending that his swift movement caused his arm to bump slightly against the door. His entire face grimaced in pain before quickly relaxing: "I made a dish I just learned. You will have to bear being my guinea pig and try it today. It is pan-seared salmon with honey lemon sauce, do you like it?"
Dominic raised an eyebrow, not answering him, but merely looking Lucien up and down. Finally, the man’s gaze stopped on the white shirt sleeve, which was already speckled with faint pink stains.
Noticing that Dominic was staring fixedly at his arm for too long, Lucien also looked down, upon seeing the bloodstains, his complexion slightly changed. Then, he forced a smile, "I must have gotten it on me while prepping the salmon earlier, it is nothing."
"Is it truly nothing more than a mere stain on your hand?"
Seeing the young man standing before him give a timid nod, Dominic furrowed his brows tightly: "Do you take me for an absolute fool?"
"I... no..." Lucien shook his head. Upon catching sight of the expression on Dominic’s face, he felt a wave of apprehension and instinctively shrank back. He deliberately threw his body backward with considerable force, causing his arm to crash agonizingly against the armrest of the sofa out in the living room. His face contorted in a grimace of sharp pain, and the mottled bloodstain on his sleeve spread even wider.
