The System Keeps Making Me Do Indecent Missions [BL, R18]
Chapter 54: The Echoes of a Past (1)Chapter 54: Chapter 54: The Echoes of a Past (1)
The kiss lasted for an unknown expanse of time, at moments deeply intertwined and at others parting just enough to allow them to catch their breath. By the time they separated, the burning breaths of the two people were still tangled together in a deeply ambiguous manner.
Lucien had been kissed to the point where the rims of his eyes turned red, entirely different from the tearful redness born of grievance just a moment ago. Right now, his eyes were sparkling like the rippling waters of autumn, and his wet eyelashes fluttered lightly twice.
Dominic Vance could not clearly articulate what this feeling was, only that looking at this appearance of Lucien was truly captivating to the eyes of others. He had once heard people say that there were individuals who possessed a profound allure, where sometimes a single glance was enough to leave someone endlessly stirred.
It was not without reason that history had seen emperors lose their kingdoms over a beauty.
A beauty?
Dominic Vance looked at the youth who was still sitting sideways in his lap, taking a moment to evaluate Lucien. Lucien certainly would not be categorized in the ranks of beauties, and it was also rare for anyone to use the word beauty for a boy.
At the very most, he could only be considered delicate, perhaps just a bit more pleasant to look at than average.
However... Dominic Vance saw the youth in his arms lift his head to look at him. His eyes were still slightly damp, blinking twice, as a tiny voice spoke: "What is it?"
Dominic Vance swallowed lightly.
Alright, even if he was not a beauty, an emperor would still lose his kingdom all the same.
He pulled the other closer to his own body, letting the back of Lucien rest entirely against his arm, while his other hand gently caressed the slender waist of the youth through the soft fabric of the pajamas.
Lucien was also not some naive fool, naturally understanding what this expression from the man meant. He could also feel quite clearly the scorching object brushing against his backside through the layers of clothing.
It was just that the very person who had been cursed by Lucien the day before as being worse than a dog was now being frighteningly decent today. The man merely hugged him, lowering his head to press his lips against the reddened corners of the youth’s eyes, and then asked in a low voice: "Are you tired?"
Lucien was slightly taken aback.
Naturally, a part of this was an intentional display for the man to see, but a part of it was genuine surprise. Suddenly, Dominic Vance was being so overly kind that Lucien spontaneously felt quite unaccustomed to it.
To tell the truth, Lucien also did not clearly understand what the ultimate setting of this world was, nor what the character development arc of Dominic Vance entailed. It was simply that after their period of interaction, he could only draw the conclusion that the man was the epitome of those domineering, borderline insane CEOs. He was both perverted and prone to delusions, completely embodying the trope of a single word from me can make your entire company go bankrupt.
Truthfully, types like Dominic Vance were usually not even considered human, yet out of nowhere today the man was being so profoundly kind that Lucien found it deeply unfamiliar.
This thoroughly unhinged male lead had somehow learned how to coax and pamper another person, which was truly a surprising sight.
The fingers resting on his waist tightened slightly. Dominic Vance leaned down and planted another kiss on his already burning red ear.
He was exceptionally fond of this spot; every time he leaned in close to whisper a few words, the entirety of Lucien’s ear would flush red very quickly.
But precisely because of this, he was reminded of the ear belonging to Lucien that could not hear, and his face instantly darkened. The fingers of the man moved involuntarily, touching the right earlobe of the youth.
He could even feel the person in his arms shrink back slightly, his spine going stiff, acting as if he wanted to hide away but had to forcibly suppress himself.
The depths of Dominic Vance’s eyes became even more turbulent.
"Has this been like this for a long time?"
"Huh?" Lucien tilted his head: "What thing?"
"Your ear."
Hearing the man speak, Lucien remained silent for a very long time.
Before losing his biological mother, Lucien had still been a pampered young master. A child who was merely in his early teens had not, in reality, had the time to grow up.
The agony of losing his mother had not yet fully passed before he had to endure the added shock of his father bringing another woman home, and realizing he had a half-brother who was barely any younger than himself.
After that, he was even kicked out of the house by his own biological father.
Lucien Sinclair at that time still carried the impulsiveness of youth, still solely believing that his father was only angry at him temporarily. He still thought of himself as the eldest young master from before, going to school and refusing to understand the ways of the world by bowing his head.
The truth was that inside schools, there always existed those who bullied others. In the past, Lucien Sinclair had been left in peace because of his status as a young master, but later on, there was no longer anyone to act as a shield to protect him.
On an ordinary day when he was trying to attend school, he was intercepted by a blond-haired punk: "Hey there, Eldest Young Master Sinclair. Long time no see. How about we schedule a private little meet-up later?"
But how could Lucien Sinclair pay any attention to the guy, as this person had never once been deemed worthy of his notice. Thus, he coldly swatted that repulsive hand off his body and stood up to leave.
The blond-haired punk was humiliated by him, and so, with a scowl, he signaled to his lackeys, and a whole pack of boys followed Lucien Sinclair into a cramped and damp place.
"Motherfucker, who are you acting so arrogant with?"
Without even waiting for the sound of the door locking, the blond-haired punk viciously kicked Lucien Sinclair in the calf, causing him to pitch forward.
"I think you are tired of living, aren’t you? You have been in the news for a few days and you think you are actually famous?" Another punk hoisted Lucien Sinclair up by his collar, slapping his face a few times.
"By the way, I watched that video, you hit your younger brother quite hard, did you secretly learn that from us?" The video he was referring to was the exact footage of Lucien Sinclair beating Miles Sinclair, and it was precisely because of it that he had been thrown out of the house.
The entire group erupted into delighted laughter, and inside the restroom, there was only the echoing guffaws of teenage boys left.
