Over three hours had passed. The sky was slowly darkening, and Gu Su’s preparations were nearly complete.

Suburban Wolf had completed the two tasks Gu Su assigned him.

Not only had he tested the Kobolds’ movement speed, but he had also found and brought back the items from the large building.

He even used the last bit of his time to haul all the remaining mud from that small puddle back to the Graveyard Demon.

Among the things he brought back were:

A jammed music box. Its case was made of faded, dark red wood, its corners riddled with fine cracks. A partial illustration from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland was painted on the lid. Gears, exposed through a fissure, were stuck and unable to turn. A thin layer of gray mist covered its surface, through which one could faintly see the yellowed metal tines of the comb inside.

A television set that had been sitting there for who knows how long, but still looked relatively intact.

Its body was old, black plastic, the screen coated in a thick layer of dust, and the power button was sunken in. The sides of the television were covered in strange, dark green patterns. Even without power, a faint gray light flickered at the edges of the screen, and a human figure would even appear inside from time to time.

A fluorescent light tube that flickered with green light even without electricity. The tube itself wasn’t the usual white, but a murky, pale green. The metal contacts at both ends were rusted and blackened, and fine black specks dotted the glass. The green light pulsed, casting faint shadows on the ground.

And finally, a complete set of wooden band dolls, though their bodies were incomplete.

There were six wooden dolls in total. The paint had peeled off in large patches, revealing the dark wood underneath. Some were missing arms; others had broken legs. Their facial features were blurred and indistinct, but their eyes were smeared with black paint, giving them a cold, unsettling feeling. They were still dressed in faded, miniature military band uniforms.

The moment the television was brought into the Graveyard Demon, it was enveloped in the fluorescent glow emanating from the Deceitful Tree. A moment later, the tree’s vines wrapped around it and devoured it, not leaving even a scrap behind.

[Flashing Lamp Tube (White): A lamp tube influenced by a mysterious power. Can erupt with a burst of light in a designated location that causes Stinging Eyes (1/hour).]

[Destructive Military Band (White): Toys influenced by a mysterious power. Can play a variety of different music (no special effects). Repairable.]

Tooth Bone had also finished raising and reinforcing the wall. The wall now consisted of an outer layer of sheet metal and an inner layer of wooden planks, and its height had been raised to about 3.1 meters.

A ring of Bone Spikes was also embedded along the top of the wall. The Bone Spikes were a dull, grayish-white color, their sharp tips pointing outward to deter enemies from climbing.

He was now busy repairing the few strange items Suburban Wolf had brought back.

’In my opinion, the lamp tube is fine as it is. It can be used as a searchlight, or even as a Flash Bomb in a pinch.’

’As for the other two items, it all depends on whether I can fix them. If I succeed, they might become auxiliary combat assets for the Graveyard Demon.’

As for Bone Ash, he had long since woken from his deep sleep. He was now squatting by the hydroponics rack, carefully tending to the four seeds that had already sprouted.

Just as Tooth Bone had said, as a Scavenger, Bone Ash naturally had a certain degree of botanical knowledge in order to find the best things. He recognized the plants at a glance and, based on the current situation, offered his planting advice.

The seed that had been activated by the [Plant Inducer] was, in fact, a Saw Grass seed.

This grass was actually a type of disliked weed because its leaves had fine, sharp serrations along the edges that would injure the mouths of cattle and sheep if eaten. Normally, no one would deliberately plant it.

The serrations on its leaves became much sharper and harder, and its toughness was greatly increased. Once mature, it could be woven into Grass Armor or a Grass Shield. Not only was it extremely light, making it easy for Skeleton Warriors to wear and carry, but its Defense Power was not to be underestimated.

It could even reflect a portion of physical damage with its serrated leaves.

Its only weakness was likely a vulnerability to fire; unlike Iron Armor, it wasn’t flame-resistant.

To grow this in large quantities, a single hydroponics rack wouldn’t be enough. If possible, it would be best to line the walls with hydroponics racks for mass cultivation, allowing the Skeleton Warriors to be outfitted with new equipment in the shortest time possible.

The other three seeds, which had sprouted naturally, were also identified.

The tender, white sprout with a pale-yellow tip was called Dew Grass.

This grass grew extremely quickly and could be planted anywhere without much care. Once mature, its leaves were thick and succulent, automatically condensing crystal-clear dewdrops. The dew was clean and non-toxic, and could be used to water other plants directly. This plant was usually grown along canals or ditches.

Of course, it could also be grown inside the Graveyard Demon. If planted in large enough quantities, it could even solve the Graveyard Demon’s internal water supply problem.

The sprout with a pale green base and curled, downy leaves was Ghost Moss.

It wasn’t an ordinary herb, but more of a strange type of moss. Its leaves were like curled scales, covered in a layer of fine, silver-gray fuzz. It was cool to the touch and would emit a faint, silvery, misty glow even in the dark.

It didn’t need much light to grow; in fact, it preferred shady environments. It grew rapidly, spreading over large areas with only a small amount of water.

The Graveyard Demon was actually quite a good growing environment for it.

This plant shouldn’t be grown on the hydroponics rack, but rather next to the tombstones and gravepiles.

However, Bone Ash wasn’t entirely sure what it was used for yet.

He only mentioned that it might slowly transform into Tomb Moss, a favorite of the Undead. As for how long that would take, nobody knew.

The stout, light-green sprout whose leaves unfurled like a small umbrella at its tip was called Strong Root Grass.

This grass had an exceptionally developed, tough, and powerful root system that grew extremely deep. Once mature, its roots could be woven into ropes that were incredibly durable—even stronger than ordinary hemp rope.

It could be used to tie up supplies, reinforce walls, and even create simple traps.

At the same time, the root system of the Strong Root Grass could stabilize the soil and prevent the ground from collapsing, making it especially suitable for planting at the base of the wall.

Once this was planted, it wouldn’t take long for the wall to be reinforced several times over.

Time was tight on this occasion. If they had known about this earlier, the task of reinforcing the Graveyard Magic Wall wouldn’t have needed to be handled by Tooth Bone.
