The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 2291: The Person Nathalie Is Going to Meet Is Khendy Lordon

When the car reached the city center.

Nathalie Quinlan lowered the car window halfway, glanced outside, and said to Alfred Garland, "Stop the car."

Alfred Garland, without understanding why, still pulled the car over to the roadside.

Nathalie waited for the car to stop completely, unbuckled her seatbelt, and grabbed her phone, ready to get out.

Seeing that she was about to get out, Sadam Vinson stuck his head out to look at the sky outside, and said worriedly, "Nathalie, aren’t you coming back with us?"

Nathalie already got out of the car, casually closed the car door, put on her duckbill cap and lowered the brim, hands stuffed in her pockets, and said rather nonchalantly, "You guys go ahead. I have a friend to meet nearby."

Amadeus Yancey watched the girl close the car door, thought of someone, and asked her, "How long will you be talking? I can wait here for you."

Nathalie glanced back at the place where she had agreed to meet Khendy Lordon, then turned her black-and-white eyes back to him: "Not sure."

"Don’t wait for me, just head back. I’ll make it back myself."

Sadam Vinson and Alfred Garland both looked a bit uneasy, casting glances at the young man inside the car: "Amadeus, we should wait for Ms. Quinlan. Anyway, we have nothing urgent to get back to..."

Amadeus Yancey, however, wasn’t insistent on following, generously said, "Vincent Moore and the others are handling things nearby. You can send him a message to pick you up when you’re done."

Nathalie was originally going to meet Khendy Lordon, and it was inconvenient to bring them along. Seeing that Amadeus Yancey wasn’t planning to follow, she breathed a sigh of relief and made an ’OK’ gesture to him.

She glanced at Sadam Vinson and the others, said goodbye, and left: "See you."

The girl always did things decisively. After bidding farewell to the people in the car, she turned and walked towards the sidewalk.

Sadam Vinson watched the girl’s departing figure, took another glance at the stoic man seated, and couldn’t help speaking up, "Amadeus, aren’t you worried about Nathalie meeting a friend at this hour..."

He wanted to say, ’Aren’t you worried this friend might have a thing for Nathalie.’

But before he could finish, Amadeus Yancey’s icy glare shut him up instantly.

Ugh, he was just speculating. If Amadeus dared glare at him, he should dare glare at Nathalie too!

Amadeus Yancey rolled down the car window, rested his arm on it halfway, the light illuminating his particularly striking facial features, his nose high, and lip color alluring.

The young man still wore an indifferent expression, seemingly unconcerned, and instructed Alfred Garland, "Let’s go, drive back."

Alfred Garland glanced at the sidewalk where the girl was no longer in sight, didn’t dare say much, responded, stepped on the accelerator, and the car left the city center.

...

In a restaurant somewhere in the city center, the piano music was melodious and pleasant.

In the light-luxury themed restaurant, all the waiters wore uniform suits, standing straight, clearly reflecting the high standard of the place.

However, what’s strange is that during the prime business hours at nine in the evening, there were hardly any patrons.

Looking across the entire restaurant, only two guests were seated by the window, seemingly conversing happily.

"The taste of this private kitchen remains unforgettable as always. I thought I’d have to visit it when I came to Inderia this time, didn’t expect you’d invite me."

The speaker was a foreign man in his thirties, not yet forty.

The man had typical Northern European features, with chiseled facial features, relatively thick hair, and meticulously groomed dense facial hair. It was clean, not sloppy, and instead exuded an unrestrained Northern European gentlemanly charm.
