The Villain Reborn as Game's Final Boss
Chapter 326: Yennifer Alistair [2]So instead of joining the dominant side, Yennifer had decided to join the weaker of the two factions, as that would make her a good asset in the eyes of the disciplinary committee.
By joining Victoria’s faction there was a good chance of her value being lost in the sea of other capable students who were supporting Victoria.
For Yennifer, being a dominant and non-replaceable presence in the faction was far better than being a mere side character who could be viewed as a normal addition to Victoria’s already formidable presence in the academy.
Though that didn’t necessarily mean Ashlyn was weak.
It was just that Yennifer knew her presence would be valued by someone on the losing end than the one who had many assets at her disposal.
But—
All her previous planning was now ruined by a certain someone.
Kael’s deliberate action to sit beside Ashlyn was a clear message to everyone, displaying his support for the Levaith princess.
That had put Yennifer in a dilemma, but she wasn’t one to change her decision.
Yennifer had already submitted her request to join the disciplinary committee, and after today’s meeting she would surely be called to their office.
Now that she had taken the decision, in no way was Yennifer going to back out of it.

Noah observed the beauty at the right end with caution.
In no way had he glared at Kael or showed any sort of dislike towards him, yet the girl... Yennifer—
She had been able to spot the true emotions in his heart.
Noah believed himself to be quite capable in hiding his true thoughts from the eyes of the world, but from the recent event it was clear that he had been lacking in his skills.
"Have you guys decided which committee you are interested to join?"
A senior, probably a third year, walked towards the group with a charming smile on his face.
"You don’t have to answer immediately. I am just here to let you know about the same. Take your time and see which committee suits you the better."
Before any of them could answer, the senior clarified everything, making the rest remain silent.
His voice was polite as opposed to the massive build that the guy had.
Noah felt the senior’s gaze on him, prompting him to meet the latter’s eyes.
"Is there anything that I can help you with?"
Not waiting for the senior to speak, Noah initiated the discussion, earning curious glances from Amelia and Vienna who sat beside him.
"You are Noah, right? The second ranker in the first year."
Second ranker... the words felt like an insult to Noah, though his expression stayed as polite as ever.
"Yes, that’s me."
Noah’s voice was soothing to hear, and even the senior seemed impressed by his humble nature.
"A classmate of mine has some things to discuss with you, so would it be okay for you to tag along with me right now?"
The question might have been directed at Noah, but the rest of the first years couldn’t help but feel proud.
From the senior’s words it was clear that he was here to recruit Noah in some faction or the other.
Though it was Noah’s final call in taking the decision, the students felt like it was them who had been invited by the senior.
After all it wasn’t like every first year was treated with such importance.
And Noah, despite being a commoner, was clearly more valued than them.
Such sentiment was there in most, but not all of them.
Amelia and Vienna, as usual, were simply curious about the identity of the senior’s supposed classmate, while the rest of the royals like Yennifer, didn’t think much about it.
It didn’t really matter if one was invited by a committee or if they chose to voluntarily join the given committee.
At the end the skills and the value of the given individual could only be assessed with time.
The invitations that Noah was currently getting could be considered as a preliminary competition between the various factions of the academy, to test the water of their influence amongst the students.
"Sure."
After a short silence between the two, Noah nodded his head before standing up from his seat.
The senior motioned with his hand for Noah to follow him, before walking towards the exit.

Yennifer observed Noah leaving the hall along with the senior, before moving her eyes across the area.
It was now time for the first years to leave, but there were no signs of the members of the disciplinary committee.
Yennifer knew that now was the best time for them to talk to her or invite her to their committee meeting, but maybe... the presence of Kael had now reduced her importance in the committee.
Yennifer wasn’t jealous of Kael... she had no reason to be.
Kael was someone who could truly be called the monster of the current era.
Being a Silver 3 even before getting admitted to the academy was a feat that no one had achieved in the history of the academy, at least according to what Yennifer knew.
So comparing herself with him was pointless.
Yennifer was one of the best in her own rank, and her field of expertise was different than Kael.
She was good at combat, there was no doubt in that, but it was being a strategist that suited Yennifer’s style in a better way.
At least that was what Yennifer had summarised from the self-analysis of her traits.
Still, being undervalued wasn’t something that Yennifer appreciated.
No one with a sane mind could appreciate such a thing.
But despite the variables that had emerged in her path, Yennifer was going to see her decision of joining the disciplinary committee right till the end.
Betrayals disgusted her to the core, and she wasn’t one to indulge in such pathetic and cowardly behaviour.
"Yennifer Alistair?"
Just as Yennifer had stood up from her seat, before walking towards the exit, a disciplinary committee member called out to her.
