"You up for a rematch?

Fair warning though, it won’t be easy this time."

Lucian grinned as he felt an endless amount of energy filling his reserves that had barely anything left. The energy, however, still did not stop.

It kept pouring into his body and since it had nowhere else to go, it spilled from his skin in violet waves and spread through the corridor like a heavy mist.

In an instant, his regeneration kicked in again since he now had enough energy. His wounds began to heal. The smaller injuries like minor bruises, cuts, and tears healed almost instantly, while the more grievous wounds still needed time.

’Evelyn...’

Lucian chuckled inwardly, instantly making the connection as he felt the warm energy filling him up.

Rhydan watched the change closely.

He could sense the ridiculous amount of energy entering Lucian from somewhere outside the maze.

"Someone is supplying you with power."

Rhydan stated with a curious look on his face.

"Someone worries too much."

Lucian laughed, thinking about his girl who was waiting for him.

Rhydan stared at him for a moment, then his lips curved into a wide grin.

"Good.

I was disappointed that it ended so soon."

Lucian’s smile widened even more.

Behind him, Isolde and Sabine couldn’t believe what they were seeing. Rhydan’s companions were no different, they had no idea what was happening.

Naomi did not understand what was happening. She only saw Lucian’s wounds healing and that made her sigh in relief.

As for Lucian and Rhydan, they stared at each other in silence.

"Then let’s begin."

Lucian announced as he moved first.

Rhydan was still faster than him. His fist tore through the air with enough force to crush Lucian’s chest, but before the punch could connect, a violet barrier appeared between them, a barrier Rhydan shattered like he always did.

But this time—

Another barrier appeared the moment he shattered the first one.

Once he shattered that, another appeared.

Then another.

Another.

And it kept going.

His fist broke through ten barriers in less than a second and by the time the strike reached Lucian, it had slowed enough for Lucian to react and turn aside.

The fist barely grazed Lucian’s shoulder, not making much difference.

Lucian grinned at that, his eyes glowing brightly. However, he didn’t jump at Rhydan. Instead, he jumped back, creating distance.

Before Rhydan could follow him, Lucian—

BOOOOOM

He tapped the ground with his foot.

One-Inch Dominion.

This time, Lucian used his full strength, not even thinking about conserving energy.

BOOOOOM

The entire floor exploded, hundreds of broken stones rose from the impact, however, none of those stones fell back.

Lucian was now controlling them all with the excess Energy of Desire he had.

"That looks fancy."

Rhydan’s golden eyes glowed.

Lucian only laughed.

Then, he moved one finger, the debris moved towards him, the dust rushed into Rhydan’s eyes, sharp fragments targeted his ears, throat, joints, and fingers, and large stones tried to crush his chest and legs.

BOOOOOM

Rhydan punched the first boulder, shattering it in an instant.

The rest moved towards him without stopping. He kicked one aside, then covered his face with one arm as the smaller fragments struck him from every direction.

Lucian used that chance to appear through the debris. Rhydan heard his movements very clearly, he turned and caught Lucian’s fist.

Just then—

A massive amount of demonic energy pushed Lucian’s elbow, the extra force drove his arm deeper into Rhydan’s grip, then—

BOOOOOM

One-Inch Dominion.

Rhydan’s hand was knocked aside.

Lucian’s second fist struck him directly in the ribs.

BOOOOOM

Another One-Inch Dominion.

And for the first time since the battle began, Rhydan’s body was pushed three steps back.

Lucian grinned at that.

He could feel Rhydan’s ribs. A few more punches like that and he would have broken one.

Rhydan stared at him, but before he could do anything, the debris behind him changed direction.

Dozens of stones crashed into his back.

Rhydan stumbled forward, Lucian used the chance to drive his knee right into the wolf’s face.

Rhydan’s nose cracked.

Blood came out.

Rhydan, however, was still smiling as if he had won.

Because he wasn’t the only one who was hurt. He attacked Lucian’s other leg before the second attack could land, breaking the bone.

Lucian was only keeping himself upright using telekinesis on himself.

Rhydan didn’t care, he rushed forward, wanting to follow through with his attack since the injury to his nose had already healed.

Lucian waved his hands, tens of barriers formed between them. Lucian also used Telekinesis to forcefully move his body away from Rhydan’s line of sight even though his balance was completely broken.

"You are relying on more tricks now."

Rhydan laughed as he punched through the fifteen barriers Lucian had formed.

"Oh, I am only getting started."

Lucian smiled.

"Good."

Rhydan attacked again, Lucian raised both hands and dozens of barriers formed between them.

Rhydan smashed through the first few, but then, the barriers started moving.

Some moved sideways to redirect his arms, others attacked his shoulders and elbows from different angles. Lucian even formed a few beneath his feet, attempting to disturb his balance.

Rhydan broke through them through sheer strength and technique. The barriers, however, did manage to slow him down, giving Lucian time to create another wave of debris.

The debris attacked him from behind the moment the wolf reached Lucian.

It didn’t do much, but it did distract Rhydan for a brief moment, giving Lucian enough time to punch.

BOOOOOM

One-Inch Dominion was used again. Lucian hit Rhydan’s chest. Rhydan was forced a few steps back again.

The watching werewolves froze.

Sabine slowly lowered the relic she had been playing with, even Isolde stopped drinking.

Naomi clenched her fists, cheering Lucian on from behind.

He was winning.

He really was winning!

She couldn’t help but feel excited.

Lucian, on the other hand, didn’t think the same. Sure, he could now attack Rhydan, but the problem was still the same.

His attacks did next to no damage.

Even if he managed to deal some damage, Rhydan’s ridiculous regeneration healed it in less than a second.

The difference between their physical capabilities was simply too high and as Lucian realised it—

’Heh.’

The grin on his face widened even more.
