"I don’t care if Lukas Martin indeed sent you here or not. I will make clothes for both of you, but remember, it’s expensive. We don’t sell skinny jeans at this location."
Fabien Baker smiled and gestured for his workers to take measurements of Liam and Alexandra. Everything here was customized, and Baker’s had a ten-person team of designers who worked on each piece very carefully.
Within seconds, measuring tapes were pulled free, fabric books opened, and several workers moved around the two of them with the practiced speed of people who had done this thousands of times.
"I know, don’t worry about money."
Liam smiled and let the girls take his measurements. He was worried he would get even bigger after reaching Level 2, but what could he do? He now had money, so he could spend it on himself and his close ones.
The measuring tape barely wrapped around some parts of his body normally anymore, forcing the workers to stretch their arms wider whenever they moved around his shoulders and chest.
"You’re so handsome, how tall are you?"
The girl who was taking measurements around Liam’s arm blushed a little when she saw that his bicep was bigger than her head. She had been bullied for being too tall in school, and now she was feeling short in front of these two. Standing this close to Liam only made the difference worse, forcing her to tilt her head upward every time she looked at his face.
"I don’t know, maybe six five?"
"You’re around six eight, and this lady here is about six two." [Low Tier Keen Eye Sight Skill is being used on Host]
[Reversal? -Yes/No]
’No
Fabien replied with his experience and walked toward the large desk placed in the middle. He then glanced at the Bentley outside, and a smile hung on his face. Because they were very exclusive and only served the top-tier rich people in the country, business these days had been a bit dull.
Liam’s entrance was god-sent, and he was certain Liam would give him a lot of business. Through the glass storefront, the white Bentley Bentayga sat under the Manhattan lights like a silent advertisement for exactly how much money had just walked into his shop.
Fabien started pulling fabrics from under the desk to make Liam their special ’An Hour Suit.’ Liam had specifically requested it since he was still wearing nothing but a bathrobe.
Rolls of fabric slid across the polished desk one after another, deep greens, blacks, greys, and several expensive-looking materials catching the overhead lights differently as Fabien checked each one with his fingers.
"Six eight?!! Do you have a girlfriend?" [Charisma: 68]
"I am eighteen."
"I am seventeen, perfect match."
"Ahem!" [Charisma: 123]
Alexandra cleared her throat and glared at the employee who had been eyeing Liam for a while now. The young lady, who was a new worker at the shop, quickly ran inside after finishing Liam’s measurements, nearly tangling the measuring tape around her own hand in her hurry to escape Alexandra’s stare.
"Please forgive her, she is a part-timer from a nearby high school."
Fabien pulled out a fabric roll and placed it on the table. Liam could roughly guess that the girl who had been teasing him came from a wealthy family. The material rolled open smoothly across the surface, perfectly clean without even a loose thread visible under the bright shop lights.
Liam knew places like this sometimes took in children from elite families to teach them proper etiquette and practical skills. Although for normal people these etiquettes of men and women had mostly disappeared, in elite circles, they were still the foundation.
Even the younger workers moved differently from normal retail employees, standing straighter, speaking carefully, and watching every small movement Fabien made.
If my guess is correct, she’s here to learn the craft of sewing, then she’ll move to a different profession and learn that too. With how early they start and learn things directly in the field, no wonder some of them achieve so much even after skipping college.
Liam and Alexandra waited for an hour, and his suit was made on the spot. It was deep green in color and looked very simple, but the price tag for this urgency was not small at all.
When Liam finally put it on, the fabric settled cleanly over his broad shoulders and arms without pulling anywhere, the deep green looking almost black whenever he moved away from the direct light.
"$7,600, will it be card or cash?"
"Card, of course."
Liam, who finally got rid of the bathrobe, smiled. The thing was, with his current size, getting something to wear was difficult as it was, and getting something this high-quality was worth every penny.
He rolled one shoulder slightly and moved his arms, but the suit followed his body without tightening or restricting him anywhere, making the ridiculous price feel a little more reasonable.
"For the lady: cocktail dress, evening dress, long-sleeve dress, formal dinner dress, wrap-style dress, velvet dress, and a business dress. And for you, eight three-piece suits with twenty shirts of different colors, two tuxedos, and two knit sweaters. It will be ready in about... a month at most. Total is $112,700."
Alexandra almost fainted on the spot after hearing the price. Over a hundred grand worth of clothes? Just for the two of them? She wanted a sugar daddy, not someone this absurd. What shocked her even more was Liam paying the entire amount in a heartbeat with his new credit card, barely even reacting to the number.
"Time to buy a phone for myself. Do you want one?"
Liam asked Alexandra as they sat inside his car. Alexandra was still in shock. She had asked how much each of her dresses cost, and the answer ranged anywhere from $4,200 to $9,500.
"I have a perfectly working one."
"Suit yourself."
Liam opened the banking app on his phone. First, he checked the old account he shared with his parents.
[Balance: $986,182]
Seeing that it was exactly $13,818 short of a million, Liam immediately transferred the missing amount from his Chase Bank account, watching the numbers refresh until the balance finally became a clean:
[Balance: $1,000,000]
Then he opened his Chase Bank app. It was slightly special; Vice President Daniel had personally installed it on his phone when Liam was at the bank. This was what they called the ’Personal Banking App.’ The screen loaded almost instantly before the number appeared in front of him.
[Balance: $57,215,882]
This card can now go to Dad, and he can buy a house with this. I would’ve sent more, but after Rebecca tells him about the property in Pennsylvania, I dread the questions he will ask.
Shaking his head, Liam put the phone away as his car smoothly merged into the Manhattan traffic, slipping between the moving cars without any unnecessary braking. His next goal was to buy a phone. He wanted an iPhone for now; in 2015, there really wasn’t any phone better than an iPhone.
iPhone 6s Plus was in 2015, right?
"I’ll get one."
"Now you want one?"
Alexandra suddenly said she would get one too, which surprised Liam a little. Just moments ago, she had been completely flabbergasted by how much money he was spending in a single day.
"Yeah, I’ll take one and fuck you till your balls run dry tonight."
"I am sorry, what?"
"Don’t need to be modest. I will never let you go, you hear me?"
"Yes, Ma’am."
