"I’ll see you soon."
"Alright."
*SMOOCH*
Alexandra leaned in and gave Liam a kiss on the cheek before getting into an Uber. Her first destination was the parking lot where she had left her car earlier. From there, she would return to her apartment, pack whatever she needed, report everything to the university, and then drive back to her hometown.
She lived in Scranton, Pennsylvania, roughly a hundred and twenty miles from Princeton. It wasn’t exactly close, but with a little over two hours of driving between them, it wasn’t far enough to make Liam worry about when he would see her again either.
As Alexandra’s Uber slowly disappeared down the road, Liam stood there for a few seconds before pulling out his car keys. He walked back toward the Bentayga and unlocked it with a soft flash of the lights.
When he had arrived earlier, he had been in too much of a hurry to bother taking it into the hotel’s private parking area, so he had simply left it outside. Now, as he approached, he noticed several students gathered around the SUV, taking pictures of the white Bentley from different angles. Liam didn’t mind that at all. If anything, he found their excitement slightly amusing.
What immediately killed that amusement, however, was the girl sitting directly on top of his engine hood. She was wearing a very skimpy outfit and had casually planted herself there like the Bentley was some public photo prop, posing while one of her friends took pictures.
Liam slowed his steps, his expression flattening as his eyes settled on her. People taking photos beside his car was one thing. Putting their ass directly on his hood without permission was something completely different.
"Hey! The car just blinked."
"I saw that too. Who owns it?"
The two girls looked around in confusion as the Bentley’s lights flashed again, still not paying any attention to Liam approaching from behind them.
"Me. Get down from the car."
His voice cut through their conversation immediately. Both of them turned at the same time, and only then did they finally notice him. Liam’s tall frame was already imposing enough on its own, but standing there with the keys in one hand and a completely flat expression on his face made the message even clearer.
The girl sitting on the hood froze for half a second before quickly sliding off, her shoes hitting the pavement almost immediately.
Her friend, who had been holding the phone, instinctively took a couple of steps backward as she looked Liam up and down. Whatever confidence they had while treating the Bentley like a photo prop disappeared almost instantly once the actual owner was standing right in front of them.
"T... Trevor."
"Trevor?"
Hearing her suddenly call someone’s name made Liam pause. His eyes glanced past the two girls toward the group standing nearby, and only then did he take a proper look at them.
The people he had casually assumed were students before didn’t really look like students at all. Their clothes, posture, and the way they were watching him gave off a completely different feeling.
Liam’s gaze moved back to the girls. Now that he was actually paying attention, their unfocused eyes and slightly delayed reactions stood out immediately. Whatever was going on here, these two girls definitely didn’t look sober either.
Drug addicts and dealers... I forgot about them.
"You got a problem, big man?"
A curly-haired man stepped forward from the group, puffing out his chest as he looked Liam up and down. Liam didn’t move an inch. He simply watched as the man kept walking closer until he deliberately planted himself between Liam and his car.
For a second, neither of them said anything. The curly-haired man stood there trying to make himself look bigger, while Liam’s expression barely changed. At six-foot-eight, Liam didn’t exactly need to puff his chest out to make the difference between them obvious.
*Sssssplrrrt!* *PLOP*
Suddenly, the curly-headed dealer’s face twisted. Just as he was about to become openly hostile, his entire demeanor collapsed. He grabbed his stomach, bent forward, and defecated on the spot inside his pants. Liam immediately understood what had happened. His passive had activated against a hostile aggressor.
Seeing their leader suddenly shit himself, the others became visibly nervous. Three of the men still pulled out their guns, while the drugged women who had been seated on top of his car stared at Liam with hostile eyes.
Liam opened his mouth, intending to defuse the situation before it got worse, but he was already too late. One after another, their faces changed. Several of them started peeing themselves, while the men holding guns simply lost consciousness and dropped to the ground.
Sigh...
"911, what’s your emergency?"
"Well, there are some people extremely high on drugs near my hotel. They’re pooping and peeing all over the road."
"I’m sorry to hear that. What is the name of your hotel?"
"Peacock Inn, Princeton. Near the university block."
"Alright, help is on the way."
Liam immediately pulled out his phone and called emergency services. The more hostile someone became toward him, the harsher the backlash from his passive seemed to get.
Worse, the people still conscious were staring at him with a mixture of fear and hostility, which only meant the effect of his [Ultimate Intimidation Aura] was continuing to climb.
Liam looked once at the fresh shit stains smeared across the side of his brand-new white Bentayga, then calmly pulled out his phone and called Charles, the same man who had sold him the SUV earlier that day. He had absolutely no intention of driving around in a Bentley that smelled like a public restroom.
"Charles, send someone to pick the Bentayga up again. It needs a full cleaning."
"Of course, sir. The drug problem has been getting worse lately. If you want, I can also send a lawyer and have them pursue compensation for the damages."
"No need. Just clean the car properly and have it back here by tomorrow morning."
"Will do, sir."
*BEEP-BEEP*
Liam ended the call without giving the ruined paint another thought. Money could fix the mess, and he had more important things to deal with. Almost immediately, however, his phone began ringing again.
*RING-RING*
At the same time, a massive semi-truck appeared down the road and slowly approached Peacock Inn. Liam recognized it almost instantly. It was the same transport truck that had carried his Range Rover all the way from California.
"Hello, sir. I’m at Peacock Inn."
"I can see you. Get down from the truck."
Liam raised one hand and casually waved toward the cab. The supervisor sitting beside the driver spotted him immediately and waved back. The massive truck slowed beside the road with a deep rumble before finally coming to a stop, and the supervisor jumped down carrying a folder of paperwork under one arm.
...
"Alright, sir. We’ll be taking it back to California once again. Thank you for giving us your business."
"Take care of it."
The supervisor glanced between the Range Rover sitting on the transport truck and Liam’s white Bentayga nearby, and the flattering smile on his face only grew wider.
Someone who could casually move cars like these across the country was exactly the kind of customer he wanted to keep happy. Liam simply gave him a small nod and handed over whatever paperwork needed signing.
With everything finally handled, Liam had only one thing on his mind—a long soak in the hot tub. His body still felt perfectly fine, but mentally, the entire day had worn him down. Between Alexandra, Erto, the Silverschild family, the system rewards, and everything else that had happened, his head needed some peace.
Tomorrow was going to be a big day, and for tonight, he was done.
