Yang Hui never replied that he’d received the message, leaving Cai Miao feeling uneasy, so she kept calling him.
During this time, Li Yang also called Cai Miao twice to ask about the situation.
When she pitifully reported to Li Yang that the calls weren’t going through, she got another earful. "Why are you telling me it won’t connect? Keep calling! If this isn’t settled tonight, just you wait and see how I’ll deal with you tomorrow."
"President Dingtian, the maid outfit you had me bring went completely unused."
She was lounging on the leather sofa, her long legs crossed, the tip of her foot tapping lightly at the air. Her skin, still flushed from her bath, had a faint pink glow. Droplets of water clinging to her toenails sparkled under the light like a string of tiny diamonds.
"It’s been a few days since I’ve had a release. I was too worked up and it completely slipped my mind."
Liu Shasha giggled. ’So impatient, yet he tries to sound so pitiful.’
"To think that a man with your world-shaking prowess could go hungry. Don’t worry, I’ll be at your beck and call from now on."
As she spoke, she slowly raised her right foot, its arch forming an elegant curve. The tip of her foot grazed his calf, barely a touch. The leather sofa dipped slightly with her movement, emitting a faint squeak of protest.
He seized her by the ankle. The scorching heat of his palm made her tremble slightly. The sole of her foot pressed against his chest, where she could clearly feel his accelerating heartbeat.
"Provoking me with your foot?" he chuckled, his thumb pressing into the sole of her foot—not too hard, not too soft. She bit her lower lip, her toes curling, but he held her fast, rendering her immobile.
"It’s almost 9, you must be hungry, right?"
Yang Hui glanced at the wall clock. His stomach was completely empty.
"Not at all. You’ve already filled me up with two servings of ’milk tea’~"
Her eyes were full of seduction. The cool leather of the sofa contrasted with the warmth of her sole, and every light brush of her toes was like striking a match to a hidden flame.
"Whoa, you..." ’Already?’
She sat up, her mouth agape as she watched him undo the belt of his robe, revealing his eight-pack abs and...
He patted her plump bottom. "I’ll give you a chance to change your outfit."
A lace headband, plus the ties of a pure white apron cinched at the small of her back, creating a perfect curve.
The ruffled collar of the maid outfit trembled with her every breath. The subtle wrinkles where the fabric strained across her chest revealed that the uniform was not the right size—what should have been a loose-fitting work garment had instead become an accomplice in accentuating her curves.
Yang Hui looked at her in the maid outfit. It was certainly alluring, but it didn’t give him that sense of immersion.
’God, what am I thinking? How could I be so depraved?’
He shook his head, banishing the image of Wenren Meng from his mind.
She deliberately pulled the cleaning gloves up to her elbows, the rubber making a soft SNAP as it peeled away from her skin, like some sort of subtle invitation. Pretending to bend over and wipe the coffee table, the hem of her skirt flipped up, revealing the black lace top of her garter stockings, creating a stark, pure-but-lewd contrast with the snow-white apron.
"You weren’t a drama major, were you?"
’She’s a total drama queen. A natural actress, and she’s even bringing a whole storyline into it.’
Liu Shasha was bent over, her skirt pulled taut, her millstone-sized ass swaying back and forth, dazzling his eyes.
Hearing his words, she turned around. "I’m willing to polish my acting skills for President Yang."
She gently pulled open his bathrobe and straddled him.
The lace edge of her maid apron creased into fine wrinkles, the pure white fabric creating a striking contrast with the dark leather of the sofa.
The warmth of his palms transferred to her waist, his fingertips sinking into the thick flesh of her buttocks as the apron ties dug even deeper into the small of her back.
Her hand "accidentally" brushed past his Adam’s apple, drawing a suppressed groan from him. Spilled coffee spread across the coffee table in a dark brown stain, its reflection twisting their two figures into a tangle of vines.
A phone was ringing incessantly. Tonight was a sleepless night for Yang Hui and Liu Shasha, and for Cai Miao, it was a sleepless night as well.
That damned Yang Hui. He wouldn’t answer his phone or reply to her messages. She had no idea what was happening with the situation. Li Yang had called her several times, each scolding more vicious than the last.
Her husband had come home too, but he wouldn’t say a single word to her.
Cai Miao lay in bed, looking at her phone. She had already called Yang Hui over 60 times.
’He must be doing this on purpose. He’s deliberately trying to ruin me, that bastard! If the company suffers a loss, is it all my fault? He’s trying to take me down with him!’
Filled with hatred for Yang Hui and a sense of helplessness, she only managed to get a little sleep as dawn was breaking. Before long, she was jolted awake by her alarm.
Yang Hui parked his car. He almost always arrived right on the dot—8:59, perfect timing!
He had battled with Liu Shasha all night. Yang Dingtian was truly a peerless master; after a thousand rounds against the seductress Liu Shasha, she was finally no match for him and was utterly routed.
It was good to be young, to have a seemingly endless supply of energy. He closed his car door and had just reached the time clock area when he saw someone run over from outside like a gust of wind.
He turned his head, saw who it was, and smiled. What a coincidence. It was Cai Miao.
She jogged over with dark circles under her eyes. She hadn’t slept well last night and was still in a daze.
The moment she saw Yang Hui, it was as if enemies had met—her eyes blazed with hatred. However, her last shred of lucidity reminded her she had less than ten seconds before she was late. Clocking in with her fingerprint was the priority.
Just as she reached the time clock, at 8:59:55, she was about to press her finger down when another finger landed on the glass screen a step ahead of her. The machine let out a BEEP as it consumed his biometric data, like some kind of silent contract.
"Move your hand, hurry!"
Damn it, the time was already 8:59:58. After he successfully clocked in, he had left her only two seconds.
"Old Cai, what did you say?"
Yang Hui looked at her with a bewildered expression, but his finger was still on the glass screen of the time clock.
"You’re doing this on purpose! You’re absolutely doing this on purpose!"
Watching the time tick past 9:00, Cai Miao’s rage, compounded by her lack of sleep, made her temper flare. She shrieked almost hysterically, "Yang Hui, you’re deliberately trying to ruin me!"
Yang Hui chuckled. "Old Cai, I don’t know what you’re talking about. Do me a favor and go look in a mirror. What is there about you that’s worth me targeting on purpose? Didn’t I suggest last time that you install a GPS in your brain? How come you still can’t figure out your own place?"
Cai Miao was trembling with anger. She was late. Her perfect attendance bonus for the month was gone, and she would be criticized by President Li. It was all this man’s fault.
Criticized by President Li... right! Her expression changed. "Yang Hui, has the other party confirmed the promotional fee support for Xinyue Square?"
"Waiting for the official notification."
She chased after him, asking, "What does that mean? When will it be confirmed?"
Yang Hui stopped. "You delayed things so much yesterday that they had already left for the day. They submitted the report for us overnight. Who knows if it will make it in time? So, we wait."
"If it makes it, we’re lucky. If it doesn’t, that’s normal too. After all, you’re the one who held things up for so long."
