Chapter 162: Chapter 162: Tidal Sea Eel

One month later, Andre and Rote walked out of the Star Realm Battleship and gazed at the ancient, primordial world before them.

All sorts of trees stood before them, so tall they seemed to scrape the sky.

Among these trees lived countless Wild Beasts and Magical Beasts.

The two of them had just stepped out of the Star Realm Battleship when they witnessed scenes of Wild Beasts and Magical Beasts fighting each other.

A striped python was about to devour a rabbit, but just as the python prepared to strike, a white light flashed from the rabbit’s body.

"Just up ahead!" Rote pointed to the side.

Andre looked over. In the direction Rote was pointing, there were clear scorch marks. Though the evidence had been mostly covered up, the carbonized traces on the trees couldn’t be erased.

And the creator of these scorch marks was none other than Rote himself.

"Then let’s get started."

Andre took the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel from his hand. It immediately flew into the air and began to spin ceaselessly above his head.

After casting a curious glance at the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel above Andre, Rote took out his own Magic Staff from his Storage Ring and began walking toward the Tidal Sea Eel nest he had discovered earlier.

The two of them used Witchcraft simultaneously to clear a path.

Rote was so shocked by Andre’s words he was left speechless.

"Don’t you specialize in Alchemy?"

Facing Rote’s astonished question, Andre shook his head.

"I major in Demon Pattern Study. Alchemy is just a means for me to earn resources."

Andre’s words left Rote speechless for a long time. He eventually turned back around and silently waved his Magic Staff to clear the path.

’There’s no competing with these freaks of talent.’

Rote grumbled to himself and quickened his pace.

Andre quickened his pace as well, flicking a finger to make the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel spin faster.

Instantly, dozens of spells shot out from the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel, demolishing the trees that blocked their advance.

After a full day of walking, Andre and Rote finally stopped.

"So one of the three Tidal Sea Eel nests is here?"

"After Tidal Sea Eels reach adulthood, they enter the sea to reproduce. The resulting elvers grow up in the sea, and then they travel back to fresh water where the ocean meets the river."

"But they still return to the sea to hunt. The times they enter and leave the ocean coincide exactly with the ebb and flow of the tide."

"That’s where the name ’Tidal Sea Eel’ comes from."

Rote explained the nature of the Tidal Sea Eels to Andre.

Andre nodded after hearing Rote’s explanation.

He truly hadn’t known any of that. The two then followed the riverbank downstream until they reached a level spot.

"There!" Rote pointed. Andre turned his head and saw the Tidal Sea Eel nest that Rote had described.

The nest was made of a special, translucent material, and from the right angle, one could see the Tidal Sea Eels living inside.

Andre walked forward for a closer look and confirmed that the details Rote had provided were accurate.

This Tidal Sea Eel nest was fifteen meters long and eight meters wide. It was hidden on one side of the river in a very tricky spot, tucked diagonally beneath the bank.

Furthermore, since the material used to build the nest was translucent, it was incredibly difficult to spot under the cover of the river water.

"What’s the material that Tidal Sea Eels use to make their nests called?"

Andre asked, his curiosity piqued by the translucent nest.

"The material they use to make their nests is called Sea Crystal Stone. It’s a unique type of Magic Stone."

"It contains a large amount of the Water Element. And because it’s been continually washed by the ocean floor, this Magic Stone isn’t pitch-black like the ones we normally use. Instead, it has a semi-translucent color."

Rote explained to Andre, who nodded and then stopped in his tracks.

Back at the Expedition Base, he and Rote hadn’t negotiated a price for this specific Tidal Sea Eel nest.

Now was the time for them to settle on a price.

"What price do you want for this Tidal Sea Eel nest?"

As he spoke, Andre took a step back—a gesture of respect for the item’s owner.

"Three eyes, bicolored at a minimum. Two hearts, or one brain."

Rote stated his price after a long moment of thought.

After hearing the price, Andre considered it for a moment, then retrieved the items from his Storage Ring and handed them to Rote.

Once he had the items, Rote departed. He had sold this Tidal Sea Eel nest to Andre, leaving him to collect it on his own.

He now needed to go and collect the other two Tidal Sea Eel nests.

After Rote left, Andre had the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel split apart and position its components around the Tidal Sea Eel nest.

He then entered the water to get a look at the Tidal Sea Eel nest up close.
