Wizard: My Skills Can Infinitely Break Through

Chapter 380 - 308: Level Five Mother, the Panel Shows Its Might

Like a heartbeat, like an umbilical cord, and even more, like the unseverable link between a mother and her unborn child.

"Hah! Daring to show yourself to me."

Ian raised his hand, and a [Gravity Collapse Ball] formed in his palm.

But before he could throw it...

VMMMM!!!

The cracks on the crystal suddenly erupted with a blinding purple light!

The purple light pierced through the walls and the inky black mist, shining directly into Ian’s Sea of Spirit!

Then... a voice exploded deep within his Soul.

"Little Insect... You carry... a scent I despise..."

The voice was deep and slow, like the whisper of an ancient beast stirring from its deep slumber.

As the voice spoke, an image forced its way into Ian’s consciousness.

In the depths of the endless Void, a colossal vertical pupil slowly opened.

The pupil was a pure, dark purple. It had no whites, no iris—only an endless Abyss.

’Pure Abyssal Aura...’

Ian was shaken to his core. He was all too familiar with this aura!

The knowledge he’d accumulated from picking it apart countless times had made him a veritable "Abyss Expert."

A dense mass of Tentacles swarmed around the colossal pupil.

A smaller eye grew at the tip of each tentacle, and every one of them was swiveling to look at Ian.

’The Level Five Mother from the Burning Canyon.’

Ian’s pupils constricted abruptly!

In his Sea of Spirit, the image continued to expand. The vertical pupil grew larger and larger, closer and closer...

The small eyes on the Tentacles began to squirm, emitting infantile laughter.

Then...

The panel vibrated silently!

A single line of text simply floated into view at the edge of his vision.

[Level Five Abyssal Will intrusion detected...]

[Initiating Purification Protocol...]

The next second.

The vertical pupil recoiled as if seared by a branding iron, contracting violently!

A bloodcurdling shriek exploded in his Sea of Spirit, stunning Ian and making his consciousness reel.

It was over in an instant.

By the time he recovered, his Sea of Spirit had already returned to calm.

The vertical pupil had vanished, and so had the eyes on the Tentacles.

The entire invasive vision was gone.

All that remained was the panel’s last line of text.

[Purification complete.]

[Warning: The invasion source has locked onto your Soul’s coordinates.]

[Distance: Unknown. Direction: 37 degrees south of east, Burning Canyon.]

[Recommendation: Sever the contaminated individual’s Spiritual Link as soon as possible. Otherwise, your coordinates will remain exposed.]

Then, an exceptionally pure stream of Spiritual Origin and information flowed into his Sea of Spirit.

Ian opened his eyes, fine beads of cold sweat dotting his temples.

It had only lasted an instant, but he had felt it clearly.

The terror of being watched by a higher-order existence.

Like an ant staring up at the heavens, like a mortal standing before a god.

’A Level Five Mother... Radiant Moon Level.’

If the panel had been half a beat slower, if the Purification had come an instant later, his Sea of Spirit would already be contaminated by the Erosion.

’Truly terrifying... To think there’s such a sly old bastard out there!’

Ian’s gaze refocused on the dark purple crystal embedded in the wall.

The cracks on the crystal’s surface were now healing at a rate visible to the naked eye.

The Mother’s failed invasion seemed to have affected this offshoot as well.

The cracks were healing thirty percent slower than before, and the dark light flowing within it had also dimmed slightly.

’It’s weak,’ Ian’s thoughts raced.

The link between the offshoot and the Mother was two-way.

The Mother could use it to invade, and the offshoot could use it to draw Power.

Now that the Mother had been repelled by the panel and the link was temporarily severed, the offshoot was isolated and helpless.

Now!

Ian raised both his hands at once.

In his left hand, twelve [Gravity Collapse Balls] instantly took shape.

They were no longer the size of walnuts but had been compressed to their absolute limit.

Each was only the size of a sesame seed, but the concentrated Gravity within was three times stronger than before!

Silver Star Orbit patterns flowed over the surfaces of the black spheres, their spin stirring up ripples in space.

From his right hand, the Purification Orbit projected forth from his Sea of Spirit.

It was no longer the passive, five-meter-diameter halo from before, but was now actively condensed into a silver beam of light.

Composed purely of the Power of Order Stars, it was as thick as a thumb.

The beam pointed at the dark purple crystal.

"Go!"

The twelve Gravity Collapse Balls shot out at once.

Guided by the [Space-Time Curvature Field], they flew along arcing trajectories.

They curved around the Tentacles on the bed, swerved past the bookshelf, and bypassed every obstacle.

Then, one meter in front of the crystal, all twelve spheres smashed into each other!

BOOM!!!

Space twisted violently.

Twelve miniature gravitational Singularities erupted at once, forming a half-meter-diameter "Gravity Vortex" around the crystal.

The vortex spun in the opposite direction of normal space-time.

The walls around the crystal began to distort, and the floor started to collapse toward the center of the vortex, like dough kneaded by an invisible, giant hand.

The dark purple crystal trembled violently!

It tried to break free, but the pull of the Gravity Vortex rendered it immobile.

It tried to contact the Mother, but the panel had already severed the connection.

It could only hang there, utterly alone, being torn apart piece by piece by the reverse-spinning space-time.

Cracks reappeared, more numerous and deeper than before.

’Still not enough...’

Ian gritted his teeth. His Spiritual Power surged, and he thrust his right hand forward.

The silver beam stabbed precisely into the center of the Gravity Vortex!

The instant the beam from the Purification Orbit touched the crystal.

SSSZZZTT!!!

An ear-piercing, corrosive sizzle erupted!

The dark purple liquid within the crystal’s cracks began to boil, churning, struggling, and shrieking like a living thing.

A bloodcurdling shriek emanated from within the crystal.

It sounded like millions of tiny mouths, all wailing in despair at once.

Ian’s eardrums throbbed with pain, and warm liquid streamed from his nostrils, but he didn’t stop.

He kept pouring the beam into it.

The twelve Gravity Collapse Balls maintained the vortex’s spin.
