World Evolution Apocalypse: I Possess The Extraction Ability
Chapter 262: Stone Behemoth [20 GT Bonus - ]Chapter 262: Stone Behemoth [20 GT Bonus Chapter]
Under Leon’s mental command, the shadows thickened into tendrils that pulled away the corpses from the streets, clearing the path.
The buses drove forward, driving deeper into the zombie territory.
Leon stood atop the lead bus, his gaze locked onto the distance where hundreds of zombies were already rushing towards them.
[Mana - (301/424)]
The Darkness Descent skill had drained his mana heavily, but he was satisfied with the results. Seeing the zombies rushing towards them again, he shot off the bus, charging straight into the horde with his spear.
The sound of something tearing echoed amidst the roars and snarls of the zombies. Leon’s spear was swift, heavy, and sharp. It didn’t need to cut through a target. Even hitting them was enough.
Leon wielded the weapon like a rod, smashing zombie heads left and right.
Compared to him who was at Level 50, the low-level zombies were nothing. His presence alone was enough to overwhelm the horde, and corpses kept dropping around him. The shadow tendrils were still working, continuously pulling away corpses and cars from the road.
The zombies were numerous—enough to overwhelm an army. They kept rushing forward like monsters spawning from a bottomless source.
However, their momentum was being broken by a single person. Leon didn’t use any flashy skills or abilities. He merely relied on his Martial Mastery trait to push out his full combat potential and drive them back while he advanced.
Soon, the Tier One zombies began to appear.
The young man gave them an indifferent look, then proceeded to cut them down. Although they fell slower than their weaker mates, they still couldn’t contend with him.
After a while, he paused and spoke to the buses behind him.
"Everyone, come out and engage."
The Titanbreaker Legion wasted no time disembarking from the buses and standing by his side as the zombies rushed towards them. Having seen their leader singlehandedly decimate over a hundred thousand zombies, their hearts burned with hot flames of battle-lust.
So when he called upon them, they were very much eager to fight.
Leon stored his spear away and folded his arms behind him.
"Kill."
"YES, COMMANDER!"
"KILL!"
War cries echoed as the Evolvers charged forward fearlessly, clashing with the zombies and tearing them apart. Leon walked calmly behind them, the buses driving slowly after him.
Anyone seeing the sight would be stunned. The Titanbreaker Legion were like maddened wolves released upon defenseless lambs. They killed quickly and moved on to the next.
Zombies fell in batches, unable to resist them despite having the advantage in numbers.
"This is surely a sight to behold." Miguel smirked as he walked up to Leon. "Boss, should I go fight too? I’m itching to crush some zombie skulls."
Leon gave him a flat look. "No, not yet. Your opponents haven’t arrived."
"Eh? I have special opponents?" The blonde guy gasped slightly.
"Be patient." Leon silenced him and turned back to keeping an eye on his warriors.
There was no way they were all flawless, and some people would have died if he hadn’t interfered to save them. He loved the Titanbreaker Legion, and he wasn’t going to let any of them die before his eyes.
’When we return to the city, I’ll have Gwen and Marie add more people to them.’
The thought brought him back to thinking about the blind seer sitting in the bus behind him.
’Haa...’
Not wanting to dwell on the mood-dampening thoughts, he shook his head. At the same time, something thick and heavy entered the range of his Shadow Sense, causing his eyes to sharpen.
"It’s your turn, Miguel."
"My turn?" Miguel grinned. "What am I fighting?"
Leon didn’t need to speak. The creature already showed itself.
Miguel slowly gulped, raising his head to look at the hulking zombie coming towards them. It was bigger than any he had ever seen.
"Do you want to back out?" Leon asked.
"What?! No way!" Miguel immediately picked up his hammer with a large grin. "This one’s mine!"
Boom!
The ground cracked as he shot towards the zombie, quickly reaching it before it could harm the warriors.
"Haaap!"
BOOM!
The large hammer struck the zombie squarely in the chest... and pushed it back by three steps.
Miguel gawked in disbelief. His attack failed to send it flying?! How was that possible?!
His gaze towards the zombie changed, and he began to channel lightning onto his hammer. At the same time, the zombie moved. Its skin hardened like stone, and it suddenly punched at Miguel with speed unbefitting for a presumably slow behemoth.
Miguel reacted on instinct, swinging his hammer like he wanted to play a golf ball.
Clang! BANG!
Miguel was forced to take several steps back while the zombie merely shook. Lightning danced on his skin but failed to penetrate its defense.
’What the heck...?’
Scowling, the blonde guy gripped his hammer and slowly approached it. The hammer crackled with lightening, and he exhaled heavily.
Raising the hammer, he struck at the zombie again while activating one of his Class skills.
"Break!"
The zombie’s fist snapped forward to meet his attack.
BOOM! CRACK!
This time, the zombie didn’t escape unscathed. The stone-like skin cracked, and black blood flowed from the cracks running down its arms.
Unsatisfied, Miguel activated Impact Echo.
Boom!
A weaker force struck the zombie’s hand before it could pull back, and the cracks widened. The arm now looked like a bloody mess of mangled flesh.
The zombie stared at its own arm as if trying to process the injury, then turned back to Miguel.
By now, an isolated space had been created for them, with the zombies commanded not to approach while the Titanbreaker Legion naturally knew not to get caught up in a battle of that scale.
"Finish it quickly," Leon said casually from behind.
Miguel’s lips twitched, but he didn’t complain. Holding the hammer with both hands, he rushed at the zombie again.
Realizing that Miguel could actually hurt it, the zombie attacked before he could reach it.
Seeing the punch flying towards him, Miguel’s eyes narrowed and he waited until it was very close before he dodged.
BOOM!
The zombie’s fist struck the ground, shattering it. Miguel rolled beside it and got to his feet as quickly as he could.
Before it could react to him, he stomped on the ground and jumped straight at the head.
"Break!"
The zombie was swift when attacking, but slow when it came to defending itself. Miguel’s lightning-coated hammer fell on its head... and flattened it.
[You have slain a Level 50 Tier One Stone Behemoth Zombie!]
[You cannot level up!]
[Progress has been stored!]
Miguel sighed and looked around as he stood on the corpse. To his shock, he caught sight of four more Stone Behemoth zombies heading towards him.
"The fuck?!"
